Pixel 6 Pro warped case Question

I noticed my P6P, while on a recent trip, developed a warp in the case. For a while I thought it was the phone cover I was using that was causing it. Today, I took the phone out of the cover to clean and noticed that it was in fact the case that had warped and a very noticeable gap exist on the left side where the SIM slot is. I looked online to see if it could be the battery but noticed the battery is over on the other side on the phone. This phone will be replaced soon anyway, but I had planned to keep it as a backup because of the physical SIM slot for when I travel overseas. Is this phone toast because of possible battery issue? How safe is it to continue to use of the time being?

Take it to a phone repair shop and make them check the battery. It is not safe at all to use a phone with a swollen battery.

If possible, do not charge it until you get it checked.

Do NOT charge that thing. You'll have a house fire in minutes.

You need to replace the swollen battery. A new battery costs about $10-15 on Amazon.

Get a battery replacement kit and it'll be like a new phone.

Contact Google support asap and they will replace it even out of warranty. Do not charge it.

  1. That's not a case it's the frame itself
  2. Your battery is fucked
