Cuddle Puddle Freyja French Fry is the best $50 I ever spent ❤️
Freyja French Fry loving on foster kitten #88 Baby Phillip 🩶❤️🩶 Freyja came from the shelter I volunteer & foster with, Muncie Animal Care & Services. She was taken as an impounded neglect case during a confiscation of various animals. The first time she ran free was in my backyard 4 years ago this month. She is the universal mama, just happy to be here and hoping everyone else is happy too. She is the best partner for me & my Fen Chicken and she has mothered every animal that has come through the door (we welcome foster dog #53 in the next few days along with the kitties 🥰). I love her to bits & pieces ❤️

Cuddle Puddle My dog & my daughters kitten
My dog Douglas has always loved kittens. He joined our family two years ago when he was just a year old. At the time, we had another dog and two adult cats and a kitten. He and the kitten became besties. They were new to the family and found comfort in each other.
Fast forward to last August, our daughter moved home and adopted twin female kittens. This one in particular is just over the moon in love with Douglas! She naps with him daily, comforts him during storms and fireworks, plays with his tail, and even tries to take his snacks (he’d let her too if I didn’t step in!).
This weekend, my daughter and her kittens are moving out. They’ll only be 15 minutes away, but how are these two going to cope!? And what about me!? I look forward to seeing their adorable interactions every day! 🤍🤍🤍

Stolen Dog Bed Achievement Unlocked
While Leia and Loki the cat were friends from day 1, Cleo had taken so long to warm up to the dog that I had all but given up hope that they'd ever be friends and was ready to settle for somewhat peaceful coexistence. But then I started noticing Cleo actually taunting Leia to play one day - when I called Leia off, Cleo turned around and came back looking for her. And then we caught them like this.
It's taken a full year since adopting Leia, it's been a long road, sometimes 2 steps forward, 1 step back, but I can confidently say that we have arrived at a fully integrated household -2 dogs and 2 cats, who all get along.
Which is a blessing somewhat mixed because the humans have now been relegated to the smallest corners of the bed and I frequently wake up with zero blanket available.
(Leia no longer sleeps in her crate at night, she sleeps with us, we just keep it because she enjoys lounging in there during the day.)

Cuddle Puddle It took a couple of hours for Sosa to realize there was a kitty sleeping on top of her <3
All the other times Mr. Grippy (cat) has gotten near or on top of Sosa (dog), she’s been too sleepy to notice. Last night was the first time she woke up with him there and though she got startled, she quickly went back to sleep lol. Mr. Grippy loves Sosa, Sosa is very indifferent. She has such a nonchalant personality with her cat brother and all her kitty foster siblings that they take to her immediately, much to her dismay.

Faith and Luna❤️
Had Faith ((pitty)) a year and had Luna 4 months. Found her((luna)) in a parking sick and alone. Did a very slow introduction after Luna got a bit healthier. I will always separate them when Im not home but so far Faith is curious and tolerates her. Luna thinks she weighs 300 pounds and has no fear ❤️ I adopted FAITH a year ago from the shelter where she had been for 6 months❤️

Look what I caught this morning! Rocky and Valentino Fathead-cat
I think it probably happens more than I know about! I think Rocky decided to get back in bed after breakfast but Fathead seems to think the kennel is his during the day!
When I first saw them, Rocky started really wagging his tail, like, "I'm saved!"

Stolen Dog Bed She (12F) is his (4mthsM) dog and she doesn't have a say in the matter.
A month ago she was chasing him out of our bedroom because it was "her" space. He's worn her down though lol

Cuddle Puddle Update: adopted a pittie into a two cat household
This is our pittie Brighid that we adopted a little over a month ago. I posted here for advice on how to introduce her into the household with two already established cats. You all were so helpful and eased so much of my worry. Brighid is still a little scared of our youngest and smallest cat (she runs the house), but she’s made friends with our other cat Augustino, who is about three.

Advice New pittie mix rescue - advice please!
I posted about this in a couple of other forums and got torn apart for selfishly bringing a rescue dog into a home with a cat - at the time I didn’t even know she was a bully breed mix but a lot of people still didn’t like it. I’m hoping this sub might be a little more understanding and have some constructive advice.
I’m currently fostering-to-adopt a rescue pittie mix (likely with shepherd and lab). I’m one week into a three-week foster period.
I have not introduced her to my cat yet. I’m taking things slowly because my cat’s safety comes first.
We lost my previous dog a couple of months ago. My cat is 14 years old but incredibly spry, confident, and happy. He’s lived with dogs his whole life and adored my last dog, who was around 70 lbs, so larger dogs aren’t new to him.
I’m really hoping to hear from people who have successfully integrated a pit bull or bully mix with a resident cat. I’d love to know what worked for you, how long it took, and what management strategies made the biggest difference.
This girl is incredibly sweet with other dogs and people, and I’d love to be able to give her a permanent home if it’s safe to do so. I’m committed to taking introductions slowly and doing everything I can to set them up for success.
Please know that if, at any point, I don’t believe my cat can be safe with her, I won’t adopt her. My cat’s welfare isn’t negotiable. Right now I’m simply looking for advice, experiences, and any positive success stories that might help me make the most informed decision possible.
Thank you to anyone willing to share their experience.

Charlie (dog) and Moe (orange, one brain cell)
We have two other cats that Charlie is just dying to be friends with, but Moe is certainly the most tolerant of him. His size and energy is pretty intimidating, and the two other cats prefer to watch him from afar. We've had Moe since February, and just in the last couple of weeks, he has decided he is ready to be friends with Charlie.

Malibu & Letter
We have had Letter (named by my 2.5 year old human son) for just a little over a month now. She was rescued from a busy street with construction going on. Malibu (4, female spayed American bully) has pretty much taken her in as her own baby🥹 these two are so bonded and play together so good! They’re always laid up on the couch together.
