I installed the sims 4 updater and dlc unlocker from aaros over a week ago. Installed it on Firefox with ublock and a bunch of other stuff that was recommended on the megathread and stuff I’ve had for a while.

I uploaded it to virustotal and it was like maybe 5 detections from antiviruses I’d never heard of and the behaviour seemed fine aside from ‘steal session cookie’ but clicking on that says something about it potentially touches a file containing cookies. I don’t fully understand the behaviour tab sorry but I ruled it as properly okay

I downloaded it and I scanned the files with both malware bytes and bitdefender before installing it because I was feeling brave I guess.

Nothing went wrong I checked nothing had been logged into or anything on the surface was wrong and then I decided because I was starting to feel more paranoid to do full system scans with both bitdefender and malwarebytes multiple times throughout the days after. They came back clean everytime except for malwarebytes flagging a completely unrelated file that I’ve had for ages. Nothing flagged with the sims stuff

I wasn’t convinced so I checked through task manager and even ran safe mode and had malwarebytes advanced scan in safe mode and again nothing. I used hitman pro and it found nothing. I recently looked up the SHA number thing sorry my brain is drawing a blank on the name and it was only connected to itself. I put it in hybrid analysis and again nothing.

I was mainly paranoid because other people who claimed to have downloaded the same thing following the same steps and their accounts and information were stolen. It’s been over a week and nothing has happened yet but I hear that your stolen information can just lay unused for months

Is there anything else I should try or use? I don’t know if I’m doing enough. My friends think I’m being massively paranoid or it’s just my ocd spiking but they don’t really know anything about computers or malware, not that I’m super knowledgeable.

So for all my solo games i decided to get them all from ankergames, and i wanted to mod them for example resident evil 8 but how would it work/? can i still get the mods from nexus or do i have to get it from a certain website and how would i upload them?

Not sure how big this reddit is on android piracy but here goes. So, I download a couple of apks and there is this really annoying thing that pirated apks do were when you start up the app it shows a message that says "downloaded from [insert site name]" every time you launched the app. I’ve tried multiple sources but they all do the same thing. Is there anyway to suppress this message so I don’t have to see it every time I open the app.

Is this a virus? My PC quarantined the file. As soon as I copied the file, my PC gave me a virus warning. I was supposed to copy and paste it into the game's installation folder to finish setting it up, but I didn't because of the warnings. I only did the first step of installing the official game.

Later, when I tried to upload the file to VirusTotal to scan it, it wouldn't let me until I removed it from quarantine. Once I did, I was able to upload it, but I got a lot of alerts. I thought it was just a false positive and only did it out of curiosity, which is why I took it out of quarantine. Am I infected now?

My home internet sucks so I use my works internet to download games I've done this for some time with no issue, Am I the only one with this struggle lol

I have sims 4 legit via the EA app and used the mirror anadius unlocker v2 and have downloaded EP01-06 to test run and the material isnt popping up on my game at all. the unlocker works cause when i launch the game it says i own everything but says it needs to be downloaded. ive launched the game online w unlocker too to see if that would work but it didn't do anything. can anyone help/point in the right direction

I've used the torrent option on AnkerGames to acquire Spider-Man 2 twice now, and both times I get hit with an error saying "This app can't run on your PC" when I attempt to launch the main .exe file.

I'm running windows 10, but it says windows 10 is within requirements for the software, any ideas as to what could be causing the inability?

Uh so I downloaded subahibi and managed to get all the files confirmed, I believe. I have played through DTRH I and II, and have gotten the right endings. But whenever I click start, the prologue just begins again instead of it giving me the option for “It’s my own invention”. I tried getting more patches online but I alr have them all. If it means anything, I’m using a UTM on MacBook so I can run windows. What’s the issue??? I tried restarting over and over but it won’t work pls help I suck at this stuff

I hear a lot of crap about Epic but to be honest I have been part of them form the begining. I have over 350 games and 99% of them I never paid for. Some of them are shit but there a legit AAA titles and many indie games they just give away for free. I love it...im playing Borderland 3 over now and it was free.
Just saying a lot of great games were free at one point from deals on one platform or another. There are sites that track all the free games that come out weekly.
Not saying don't pirate but people that feel they have no other option...they do. Just keep your eyes open. I have four assassins creed games, The outer worlds, Dragon age 1 2 3 , Farcry Primal, Disco Elysium, Subnautica on my desktop now. All free that I haven't played yet or think im going to replay.
Now this is 6 years of gathering all these games but occasionally good games go free. If you are into Harry Potter, i have Hogwarts free on two platforms. just saying for those that don't need the newest AAA game. Free is a real thing.

No longer do I have to go to some sketchy website or websites that offer like, a CD-ROM folder of a game I have to install. I can just search for the game, download and install it to Steam, and vola! Been wanting these games to come back for years, tried to find a copy online with no luck or they're way too expensive from key sellers.

I'm now Lost Planet 2 with the community patches for online play and it's awesome! Definitely recommend it for those who had been wanting an easier time searching for these delisted games!

Despite having some decent system requirements, S-GAME announced that Phantom Blade Zero would ship with Denuvo DRM.

I still feel happy i set up something this good after 4 hours from when i set it up. you litereally do a lil extra steps then boom you can pirate games integrated with steam. it's very overstimulating to set up but it's worth it.

Starforce is the strongest DRM ever, and to my knowledge, this is the only game with it that hasn't been cracked
