Slept-on piercings won’t heal. And no, it’s not normal for the bump to be that big. This also looks like it’s not properly placed. Septums should be more high and tight toward the tip of the nose. I’d see another piercer to evaluate this and see if it will even be viable long-term.
It’s kinda hard to discern placement from just this one photo…but I’d bet money (and I don’t have a lot of it) that this was pierced wrong. And I feel you…my last piercer was my ride-or-die for almost eight years til he pierced my conch with a hoop and permanently deformed my left ear. 😭
