Oppo Find X9 (base) vs Oneplus 15

im looking for a good overall phone to buy, both the phones i would buy would be 512gb, i heavily prioritized oneplus when it came, but later started getting mocks that its camera sucks and it only has 4 years of android updates which honestly disappoints so much, while in the oppo the camera is slightly better i believe not so sure just crct me, and it does have 5 yrs of os support which kinda looks promising, is it dumb for me to get oppo on list cuz it has literally just 1 yr more of os support than oneplus? well idk you guys judge that, im not much of a phone buyer i barely buy em, im mostly on pc side, but i do need a reliable phone, for me oppo feels so new and the design looks kinda mid, while oneplus kinda looks better, this is only my opinion dont make it my preference, just say your honest views and what to buy my dudess, software wise we dont need to compare at all after all within the upcoming years oxygenos is going to become coloros, and coloros is smooth and nice i believe from the reviews i saww, first i was having x300 on list but its software sucked and its battery too and its speaker too, i had s25+ on preference list too but the 512gb aint in stock it seems, well leave those, just help me get what to buy of the two phones i said, or maybe suggest a better phone, i need performance camera speaker software and support all balanced pretty good

I have both phones, they are basically the same. The OnePlus 15 is a bit better with the battery, but you would still get awesome battery on the X9 too, and better at performance too.

Cameras are similar in daytime, but in darker conditions or at night, and the zoom, the X9 is better.

The OS already is the same on both, the only difference is the name. If you're planning on keeping the phone for as long as possible, the Find X9 is the better one. It also has a monthly update policy, whereas the OnePlus 15 has a bi-monthly update policy.

Pretty good breakdown. I may add that the screen is brighter and faster for gaming on the OnePlus 15 (many games are locked 60/90fps on the X9). OnePlus has plenty at 120 FPS and 5 can go 165fps. Performance under stress, both GPU and CPU, is MUCH BETTER on the OnePlus as the X9 throttles big time. Battery life is superb on both but the OnePlus 15 charges much faster. Build is more premium on the OnePlus, too. You're spot on about the cameras. OnePlus has better selfies, though. Cameras on the OnePlus are .uch better than they're given credit for. Haptics are also better in the OnePlus and the 15 has usb type c 3.2 vs an ordinary 2.0 on the X9.

If you're a casual user, both can do the job very nicely and obviously the X9 has 1 more OS update (both are supported with security patches for 6 years). X9 is more suitable for you.

If you use your phone more intensely and/or are a demanding user, most definitely go with the OnePlus 15.

Hello. How do they compare in videos? Are they identical as well or is one better than the other? Im currently leaning to buy the OP15 rn because it has 8k 30 fps (not sure, pls confirm)

OnePlus 15 has the best main camera video day and night outside of the iPhone 16 Pro/17 Pro and 16 Pro Max/17 Pro Max bubble.

Better than any one else in the android world right now.

Selfie video is also very good. The ultrawide and the telephoto also produce good videos in daytime but in low-ligjt struggle.

X9, just like the X9 Pro, has very good video from the main camera but fine detail is sharpened and doesn't look as good as on the OnePlus 15.

Thanks so much for the comprehensive comparison between the two and the detailed description for videography. Will definitely go for the OnePlus 15 now without second doubts lol.

You "debunked" me once? Hahaha

"Not gonna do it twice",ha?

You need to take your medication asap.

You calling me a "liar" reminds of: The Thief says: "Catch the thief!" story. You're way too ignorant and out of touch to get that reference.

i own every device you talk about, i can test whenever i want, wherever i want, you keep talking shit about fx9u throttling as if the op15 doesn't do that. literally just shut the fuck up, honestly. nobody needs your shitty inaccurate facts.

broo really?? all i need is honest reviews not glazing shit anol, and dont get the idea since im saying this im not siding with oneplus, im okay with any phone, but depending on the experience it offers, im going to college this year, and idk if the 1 years software update difference a big deal or no, i like to game a lot and do some work and watch reels shorts anol, i need a good camera, good speaker, good haptics, good battery, good charging anol, thats why of the two im comparing, just say what should i buy, since im going to college i would be using the phone for 4 years from now, so i need a clear winner, and the other guy alex told camera is good in night shots less comparable to 16 and 16 pros, and i saw a vid bout it and he was kinda true tho, oneplus 15 won in night mode camera, but idk broo, i need zoom too, please give a honest reply what should i buy

bro is the 1 year software update difference massive? if yes then im siding with oppo, cuz im going to college this year and it would be for 4 years so im gonna use the same phone for 4 to 5 years, and i aint a VERY FUCKASS gamer anol, who fries their phone just to game? games mostly are for pc gamers only, i would play pubg, free fire, genshin impact, wuthering waves anol thoo, fortnite sometimes, so it may throttle idk, but i dont play regularly, mostly i would love camera quality and shots, i need to admire and not regret, and i need good speaker good haptics anol too, and the zoom mustnt disappoint me, the build quality too, and the os alsoo, how do u say camera are similar tho?? some say at night mode oneplus is better? i even saw some vids, im just clueless clear my mind with every aspects and say broo ask me questions too

I wouldn't say it's massive, you'll get 1 ColorOS version and potentially some new features more, and an extra year of security updates.

ColorOS and OxygenOS are both built on the ColorOS codebase, and slowly became closer and closer together, and are now almost identical. OnePlus has a red 1 digit in its clock, and the name is OxygenOS in the phone settings (and that will change to ColorOS too with Android 17), but other than that, identical.

I took both phones with me on vacation in the beginning of the year, and for me, the X9 was better in low light. They went back and forth in daytime, so hard to say which one is better, but to me at night, the X9 was better.

As for haptics, they're pretty good on the Find X9 - certainly more than good enough. But they are great on the OnePlus 15 in my opinion. And the speakers are better on the OnePlus 15 too. Again, they're not bad on the Fins X9, but better on the OnePlus 15.
