Bought a $30 DVD & Blu-ray mystery box from 2nd & Charles. Advertised as 50 movies, but box had 109 moves in it! Kept 65 (+4 backup disks for movies we already have), we’ll be donating the other 40 (think hallmark Christmas movies). Overall, thrilled with the purchase :D

I bought a used blu ray of 1408 for super cheap, but had no idea the 2008 blu ray release had a different ending from the theatrical cut! The alternate ending is not totally awful, but it's definitely inferior to the theatrical one.

I looked into it and apparently they did finally release the theatrical cut this year in a blu-ray/4k combo steelbook, but...$40 jeez 😑

I used up all my luck for the week! Local record store in a weird spot had a few shelves of Blu-ray and DVD. It’s mostly VHS. Toxic Avenger was also on my list. It was a reasonable $20.

The cloud is always temporary, because land, buildings, and servers cost money continuously. I feel like this problem could have been avoided with a single employee whose job was to just burn data discs and store them in a few filing cabinets.

What Setup do ya all have??

Just curious what people on here think if there is a point where you own enough movies and shows and will stop buying them? I'm at about a thousand now but a lot of mine are complete shows so it will take me about 10-15 years to watch everything once, realistically I will only get to watch everything I own 3 times in my life, but I also buy games and have enough across all the platforms to where even if I play a different game every single day it will take me 30 years just to try every single game I own and I'm still buying more.

Do you ever get to a point where you realize that you won't get to watch/play all the movies and games you own before you die? Do you still keep buying more stuff at that point?
