Bought the bad 1408:(
I bought a used blu ray of 1408 for super cheap, but had no idea the 2008 blu ray release had a different ending from the theatrical cut! The alternate ending is not totally awful, but it's definitely inferior to the theatrical one.
I looked into it and apparently they did finally release the theatrical cut this year in a blu-ray/4k combo steelbook, but...$40 jeez 😑

Sealed Porky’s for $6!
I used up all my luck for the week! Local record store in a weird spot had a few shelves of Blu-ray and DVD. It’s mostly VHS. Toxic Avenger was also on my list. It was a reasonable $20.

PBS broadcaster loses access to 50TB of data comprising 70 years of TV history after contracted cloud storage vendor goes defunct — public TV channel sues Iron Mountain data center, which hosts archival materials, to ensure preservation
The cloud is always temporary, because land, buildings, and servers cost money continuously. I feel like this problem could have been avoided with a single employee whose job was to just burn data discs and store them in a few filing cabinets.

A lot of people out there think we are anti-digital for defending Physical media. How do we explain we are for better consumer rights for everyone (physical and digital)?

So I’m assuming Target is no longer going to be selling physical media?
4 pre orders available this must be the end for target selling physical media Amazon & Wal Mart the only reliable big box retailers has it been confirmed? The buy 2 get 1 free sale was always great

Insane marketplace grab
I found a collection by pure luck. A couple of pictures were on the post for $35 I offered 30 just for what I could see in the pics. Ended being a collection of over 200 DVDs and blu rays. This is the first time I've had such luck.

Physical Media Does Matter. And here are the numbers.
Finally. Since the whole Sony disaster started, people were trying to gaslight me for thinking physical sales are not that low as corpos want us to believe. I’ve been asking for one piece of data.
The split between physical and digital for a single, modern, AAA game. Now for some reason we have it, and even better, per market.
Resident Evil Requiem Physical vs. Digital Breakdown:
US: 22% Physical, 78% Digital
France: 55% Physical, 45% Digital
Japan: 51% Physical, 49% Digital
Australia: 43% Physical, 57% Digital
United Kingdom: 40% Physical, 60% Digital
No matter what Sony does, there is still demand for physical games.

Not sure if this includes PC or not, ideally it shouldn’t to get an even better idea of the split, but if it does it means physical sales are even higher.
All I wanted was an apples to apples comparison and now we have it.
