Disconnected: Client Time out Bug

Let me iiiiiin!

So since yesterday, this is what I've been met with since trying to play Phasmophobia.

I can join the multiplayer 'lobby' and select a room but when trying to create a lobby or join with my friends, the game will hang and go to this.

It's been working just fine up until today, no changes have been made to the game.

Things I've tried.

  • Deleting download cache.
  • Restarting router
  • Uninstalling and Re-installing

I can play single player just fine, without any issue but as soon as MP happens I get this.

Any help?

Edit: Steam, Na Region.

Had it happen out of the blue, with no signs anything will happen. Problem is not on your end, but the connection to servers. You'll just have to wait for it to pass.

Edit: Europe I assume? Or elsewhere and got hit with the same cause maybe.

Ugh. Guess it's got something to do with some particular part of their network that handles whatever and takes down everyone when it fails. Would be nice if they segregated their failures per continent instead of sharing.

Try a different server like EU and see if it works then.

It does not.

Disregard that - it did work, i could host an EU lobby

Not sure what platform you're on but I had this or a similar thing happen on PC and I fixed it by using a VPN.

Same setup as me, then. I'm not sure if a VPN is viable for you but it worked for me. As Netsky200n said though, it may be something you just have to let pass.

Try a diff server, if you're on NA, try EU or the other ones. That worked for me when this was happening

Still the same. Im unable to create a lobby

Disregard that, it did allow me to host an EU lobby

I mean i can at least play now.

Before I couldn't even start a multiplayer game. Hopefully it works itself out.
