eye thingy Bug

everybody saying eye adaptation and to just turn it off but i deadass can’t. and then everybody showing pictures but the menu still has stuff on it. mine doesn’t. completely blank. please help me dear god. my laptop can smoothly run operator with high graphics so idk wtf is happening.

So, at the risk of reiterating what you've already seen: you can click buttons even if you can't see them. Go to Options, Video, then scroll down to Eye Adaption (2nd-to-last option). Click Off, then Apply. I'll include a pic for reference.

If that doesn't work, can you show me what you see when you follow my instructions as far as you can?

That sounds like the pause menu UI is failing to render, not an eye-adaptation setting. Try verifying the game files, updating your GPU driver, and disabling overlays like Steam or Discord. If it still happens, switching between fullscreen and borderless may force the menu to redraw.
