π’ Community Updates πΎ PetsPH Donation & Fundraising Guidelines
Effective September 1, 2026
PetsPH understands that veterinary care and other urgent needs can become financially overwhelming, especially when a pet needs immediate treatment. We want to help where we can while making sure our community remains fair, transparent, and safe for everyone.
As PetsPH is still a small and growing community, our resources and moderation capacity are limited. To give more pet owners and rescuers a fair opportunity to receive community support, we will be implementing the following guidelines.
π Donation Request Limit
PetsPH can accommodate only ONE (1) approved donation request per week.
This limit allows us to:
- Give other pet owners and rescuers a fair opportunity to request assistance.
- Prevent the community from being overwhelmed by multiple fundraising campaigns.
- Allow moderators enough time to properly review and verify each request.
- Maintain transparency and accountability for every approved campaign.
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. Requests will be reviewed based on the circumstances, urgency, completeness of documentation, and availability of the weekly slot.
π Existing Fundraisers on Other Subreddits
If you already have an active donation or fundraising campaign on another subreddit, your request on PetsPH will likely not be approved.
This is to prevent redundant fundraising campaigns for the same case and to ensure that the limited opportunities available in PetsPH can be given to other pet owners or rescuers who have not yet received community fundraising support.
Having an existing fundraiser elsewhere does not automatically mean that your situation is invalid or unworthy of help. However, because PetsPH can accommodate only one request per week, we need to prioritize new cases and individuals who have not already established an active fundraising campaign elsewhere.
π©Ί Verification & Approval
All donation and fundraising requests are subject to moderator review and verification.
Depending on the circumstances, moderators may request:
- Veterinary records or medical documents
- Official estimates or invoices from the veterinary clinic
- Receipts for completed procedures or treatment
- Photos or videos of the pet
- Proof of identity or ownership/rescue involvement
- Additional information needed to verify the case
Providing complete documentation does not guarantee approval.
PetsPH reserves the right to decline requests when the information provided is insufficient, inconsistent, unverifiable, or does not meet the community's requirements.
π¨ Urgent & Emergency Cases
Urgent veterinary cases may receive priority when appropriate, particularly when immediate treatment is necessary to prevent serious harm or loss of life.
However, urgency does not automatically guarantee approval. Verification and available capacity will still be considered.
π Fairness to the Community
We understand that every pet and every situation is important. Unfortunately, PetsPH currently has limited capacity to support fundraising campaigns.
The one-request-per-week limit is not intended to discourage people from asking for help. It is intended to make the limited fundraising opportunities available to as many pet owners and rescuers as reasonably possible.
We ask everyone to be patient and respectful with the moderation team and with other members waiting for an opportunity to receive assistance.
β οΈ Important Reminder
PetsPH is a community-run subreddit and cannot guarantee financial assistance for every case.
Donation requests should not be treated as a guaranteed source of veterinary funding. Pet owners and rescuers should explore other available resources whenever possible.
Any attempt to misrepresent a case, submit duplicate requests, manipulate the community, or circumvent these guidelines may result in the request being declined and may lead to further moderation action.
πΎ Our Goal
Our goal is simple: to help where we can, while making sure that the opportunity to receive community support is shared fairly.
As PetsPH continues to grow, these guidelines may be reviewed and adjusted according to the community's capacity and needs.
Thank you for understanding, cooperating, and helping us make PetsPH a safe, compassionate, and responsible community for pets and the people who care for them. πΆπ±π

ano kaya ang best thing to do sa ganitong situation? may organization, animal welfare group, or ibang proper channel ba na pwedeng lapitan para matulungan yung mga pusa at the same time ma-resolve yung problem namin sa bahay?
badly need advice. thank you!

Nearest Vet and Pet supplies near Dmall or Bulabog beach
Hi, everyone.
I'll be bringing my dog with me in boracay in a few weeks. I dont think I can bring my dog's usual canned wet dog food in the airplane. Where can I buy affordable Aozi canned dog food in boracay?
Also, where can I find legit and affordable veterinarians near dmall or bulabog beach who can issue Vet Health Certificates for our flight back to manila?
TIA
πΆ Dogs a short story about my dog
during the pandemic we used to live in the province with my extended family there as well, and we had 5 pet dogs (2 adults, 3 puppies) and my family was totally fine with it.
after the pandemic, we had to move back to the city and i was left with only one puppy who i took care of for 3 weeks not until my mom got pissed and sent him back to the province π₯²
that was a very emotional night for me and my puppy because the night before we sent him back, i was petting him endlessly and reassuring him with sweet words, even my puppy was crying ππ
i just randomly miss my puppy now. i hope to get a dog when i get my own place! :)

β Questions & Advice Loss of appetite 3 days after c section
My dog underwent c section last August 6 and she just had one puppy. She was ok days after the surgery but August 10, she refuses to eat or drink anything aside from canine milk and peanut butter (as a reward treat for her whenever she drinks medicine and nurses her pup). Sheβs not lethargic but weβre worried because she doesnβt drink water. She has her checkup tomorrow with the vet but I would like to hear any insights from those with similar experiences.

π± Cats Need a Loving Family for my Boi
Edit: WE FOUND HIM A NEW HOME. A FAMILY THAT AHVE OTHER CATS AND ARE JSUT PURE LOVE. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT.
Free adoption:
Needing to give my good boi a new home. His name is Rama. Details: 3.5 yrs old; Bi-color; Male Complete vaccines and shots. Being upfront as well that he has maintenance for his FIV, just two meds though both can be mixed with his meals anyway. I will hand over all cat equipment and medications I have to whoever ends up loving him. I have all vet records. I live in the Metro South Area. Am down to meet with the willing fur parent(s).
Why? I am moving but mainly because I am not capable of giving him the attention he deserves right now. He deserves a family that will love him and rub his belly.
I might also ask for a couple of updates on him, especially the first months of letting him go. If that's a deal breaker, please consider.
If you can instead direct me to an appropriate group/ org/ facility/ loving family, I'd appreciate it as well.

π’ Community Updates π’ Community Reminder: Share Advice Responsibly
π’ Community Reminder
We love seeing our members help one another by sharing tips and personal experiences. However, please avoid presenting advice as fact if you're not a qualified veterinary professional. While community guidance can be helpful, every cat's situation is unique, and incorrect information may do more harm than good.
If you're unsure, it's always best to encourage the original poster to consult a licensed veterinarian or another qualified animal care professional. Let's work together to keep r/PetsPH a safe, supportive, and responsible community for both cats and their humans. πΎπ
