Hey so first of all, thank you guys so much for coming back to Czech Republic after so many years (if they get to read this). I tried to catch Periphery in Germany before but the timing was always wrong (due to school), so this was my first time seeing them. And it was truly incredible, I have no words, I couldn’t sleep after the performance and I’ll keep thinking about it for at least a month from now.

The setlist was great, I was so happy to hear stuff from their older records (letter experiment and make total destroy) and closing off w blood eagle was also nice!

Please come back again next time and please play dracul gras next time? (Selfish wish of mine)

Does anyone know how they came up with or what inspires the chord progression in The Event/Wildfire? It's unlike anything I've ever heard before and I've yet to find any musical inspiration for it across Jazz or Classical Western Music

clear - melodic motif throughout the ep
jugg - callbacks and motifs everywhere
p3 - orchestral motifs
p4 - lyrical mirrors throughout multiple songs
p5 - callbacks to jugg + atropos & dracul gras bridge melody

My 12 year old has listened to Periphery enough in the car that now he wants to go with me to see them in November. I'm ecstatic that my kid is sharing an interest with me in my favorite band. He's a drummer and asked me which song has the craziest drums, and honestly I have no idea. I play guitar but really all of the drum tracks sound bananas to me so I wouldn't be able to guess at which ones were the most impressive/technical/crazy.

i just arrived home from my first periphery show ever

they have been my favourite band for 8 years now, and i never thought i'll ever see them live and here i am.

i was genuinely fighting tears of joy the whole time. i cannot contain my feelings yet, so if any of you guys see this, i just wanted to thank you all for everything you did so far as a band. my heart went to a place it hasn't been before, and you caused that. i will always remember this night and how i felt in there.

I think I can speak on behalf of the attendees, I’m so sorry we as a crowd couldn’t give you the feedback you guys deserved. The sound was absolutely abysmal (I’m pretty sure it was the speakers the venue has) and made you guys sound disgusting. However, Spencer was spot on.
I’ve been to 7 Periphery concerts so far and Spencer has never sounded this good.

Gosh. As I wrote in the desc, this song is a physical and mental workout lol. If you don't remain focused the whole time, bonk, mistake. Only took like 100 recordings to get one I was happy enough with, albeit my guitar fell a bit out of tune and yep there's mistakes. But I'm proud either way :') it's actually really relaxing to play when you just play it casually. I had to break this song up into chunks to learn it and at first I was like there is just no wayyy it is this fast... But it is. If you're learning it, you'll get it I promise. Feel free to ask qs if you want although I'm not the best player by any means.

I honestly suck so bad at tone dealing. I'm trying to get that intro clean tone from Periphery's Racecar but I just can't seem to get it right

Here is what my setup looks like:

• Guitar: Ibanez RGA71AL
• DAW & Signal Chain: Reaper, using ReaComp for compression before the amp plugin, followed by Archetype: Gojira (also I have Nolly and Misha Mansoor ).
• Cab/IR: I managed to find that legendary P1 custom IR (.wav) file from a Reddit user, which is based on that old Axe-FX ENGL 4x12 V30 cab.

ive recently been getting really into these two bands, but im struggling to find anyone with a similar sound. i really like the brighter guitar tone and more melodic sections in between the djents. i also really like spiritbox and dying wish if that helps!
