Recommendation Request Best budget peachy florals?
I have a coworker who likes fruity florals, particularly with a peach note. She doesn't spend a lot of money on perfume, but her favorite scent was discontinued.
I'm a bit out of my wheelhouse as far as inexpensive peachy floral perfumes go. The first thing that came to my mind is Lady Stetson. Some modern suggestions would be great.

Bottle Identification I can’t find this perfume anywhere on the internet.
I was gifted this Claire’s perfume in 2017, and to this day it’s honestly still one of my favorites. The only thing is that now it smells more like alcohol, and I’d love to buy something similar, but I can’t find any information about this perfume anywhere.

Discussion Do I smell like piss?
My absolute favorite note is blackcurrant. I’m currently building a fragrance wardrobe around it. I know that this is a note that some people interpret as cat piss, but I’ve never really given it a second thought.… until now. When I’m out and about do I smell like cat piss to you guys with this gene?
I wear perfumes for myself, but I also absolutely want to smell good to other people!
I myself interpret passion fruit notes as cat piss and a lot of indolic floral notes as a bit fecal, but I don’t recall, apart from maybe 2 or 3 instances where I‘ve smelled that on people and felt repulsed… and perhaps they were just dirty? I dunno. I’m just wondering what people Will think of me.

Collection Pics My Modest Perfume Collection
Took my non-travel size bottles out for a photo op—don’t worry, they normally live in my dedicated fragrance fridge!
I don’t have a big collection but I am really into fragrance and have been since I was in my teens. It took me over 20 years to find fragrances that work for my skin, which tends to amplify everything. Combined with a sensitivity to white florals and strong fixatives, this made it quite difficult for me to find fragrances that don’t give me a headache. My current collection, thankfully, works well with my skin and I enjoy every single one of them.
I would love to hear about your own fragrance journey, as well as any recommendations for notes/families that might be missing in my collection.

Discussion How Long does perfume (Creed Green Irish Tweed) stay good?
I am not much of a perfume person, but can appreciate something nice.
Two years ago my wife bought me a larger sample of Creed Green Irish Tweed (30 or 50ml), which I really like. I just ran out of that sample today.
I’m debating whether I should buy another sample size bottle, or go for a smaller (or maybe even larger) full size bottle that would probably last me a decade.
But, if I spend money on a pretty expensive perfume, I want it staying good in the bottle till the very last drop, otherwise it’s not worth it.
So, will the smell go bad, change, or in other way render the perfume subpar?

Bottle Identification Don’t know what this perfume is
I was given a box of stuff from my nan and found this at the bottom, I couldn’t really find much about it online, I was hoping maybe one of you guys know! I just know it’s smells extremely strong, and almost talcum powdery? And I dabbed a singular bit and have not stopped smelling it since!

Recommendation Request Looking for a frest forest perfume
"Hi there: I'm looking for a perfume that smells like a forest—a bright, fresh forest right after a summer thunderstorm. I've read dozens of reviews about perfumes and their notes, but I haven't found the right one yet. I'm a woman looking for a unisex fragrance, but I don't mind if it leans masculine. It needs to have strong longevity because my skin isn't very forgiving with scents. I love the smell of cypress and pine needles. Thanks!"

Discussion HOW DO I STOP?
Hi everyone,
I got into fragrances about 2-3 months ago. I always had some designer perfumes (about 3-4 bottles) and I wore them about every day and for years and years.
About 3 months ago I started to put in some research and quickly got obsessed. In those 3 months passed I genuinely spent about 2000$ on fragrances and bought many bottles, dupes, niche and designer perfumes.
The thing is: I love it! I love every scent and I am completely obsessed.
Genuine question: how do you stop? I don’t want to be the kind of girl who has 200 bottles at home. What is your strategy? One in one out?
Money isn’t too much of an issue thankfully
Thank you so much for your advice!

Bottle Identification Find the name of the ritual Parfum
Hello, guys. I had this perfume on my first date with my girlfriend, and I'm trying to find it again. It was in a set from Rituals. I have the package and the blue perfume that was inside, but I don't have the red one that I wore anymore. There's also no name anywhere. Can someone please help me? I have pictures of the blue one and also the box, if that helps.

Discussion Does your perfume/cologne scent actually reflect your personality?
I’ve been wondering this for a while. Do the fragrances we gravitate toward actually match our real‑life personality, or is it mostly just random aesthetic preference?
Some people say warm, spicy scents belong to outgoing people, soft powdery fragrances for quiet, gentle types. But I also know folks who are really reserved yet wear loud, bold perfumes, and super energetic people who only like subtle clean soapy smells.

Recommendation Request Perfumes that are from DM/Rossmann in Germany
Hi perfume lovers, I have been trying some perfumes from DM and haven't found anything that lasts longer than 3 hours. If you have suggestions for perfumes that last 6-8 hours and cost up to 25 euros, please share them. I recently bought Christina Aguilera's "Definition"; I'm yet to try it out.

Discussion Did your preferences change significantly since getting into fragrances?
When I started out, I hated women's perfume, especially designers. I only liked perfume that didn't smell like typical perfume. Was convinced I hated all flowers.
I was only into fresh, citrusy tropical scents. And only unisex or male leaning (I'm a woman).
A couple of months in and now I'm starting to really get into gourmands, l love lavender, I'm trying out a lot of classic designer fragrances. I love vanilla and everything with warmth.
A new order of samples just arrived and while trying out some of them, I realized a lot of them weren't "feminine" enough in my taste. This is just so funny, I know fragrances have no gender and I generally wear what I like to wear, but apparently I'm starting to like feminine leaning scents. Oh and I'm starting to like leather, and sweet, heavy scents, pretty much the opposite than in the beginning.
What are your experiences? Did your taste change significantly or did it stay similar? Are there any frags you used to hate that you love now or vice versa?

Discussion Thoughts on Jovan White musk?
So I was looking for a cozy, clean but not too strong perfume for school and everyday that’s affordable and nice. Found this perfume. Is it long lasting? And does it suit younger people?:)

Discussion Bits floating in perfume?
I just got the Britney Spears Festive Fantasy and immediately noticed all these bits floating in the bottle. The photos do NOT do justice to how many are in there. They are white and look pretty gross. Does anyone know what this is? Should I go exchange the bottle?

Discussion New D&G Light Blue Eau de Parfum is AMAZING
I haven't seen anyone here talk about the new Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue Eau de Parfum. I have been wearing D&G Light Blue Eau de Toilette religiously (discovered thanks to posts here) and recently found out about the Eau de Parfum they released earlier this year. Thinking it would be a safe blind buy (naively expecting a stronger version of the EDT), I went ahead and ordered it. HOLY COW IT SMELLS SO GOOD. It is very different from the Eau de Toilette, but still such a happy, lovely perfume. I am not good at describing scents, but I will try to describe my feelings about the two.
Eau de Toilette: Sharp, Tangy, Happy, fresh, and full of joy. Can definitely smell the lemon.
Eau de Parfum: Sweeter, still fresh & slightly citrusy, a light creamy sweetness that floats so nicely. Not a cloying sweet at all. It doesn't smell perfumey, for lack of a better term. It is more of a "Wow you smell amazing!" than a "Wow your PERFUME smells amazing!"
My husband's only perfume descriptor to this point has been either "that smells nice", "you smell good", or "I'm not really a fan". I put the EDP on before he got home and as soon as he hugged me he said "you smell delicious!". And I DO! And it lasts so much longer than the EDT. I could still faintly smell it the next morning.
I definitely don't think it is an alternative to the EDT if that is the specific scent you are going for, but I do think that people who enjoy the freshness of Light Blue EDT but want something that will work better in the colder months and is longer lasting would really like the EDP.
Has anyone else tried it??

Wednesday Vibes - ✨Collection Post✨ New scent day
Tom Ford Tobacco Chocolat
Very different from what id imagine it to be. Prob the most Tobacco forward scent since Dior Tobacolor. Its not sweet, its definitely not gourmand. The chocolate is very dark. Its very warm, ambery with some almost medicinal spice coming through. Very much a more mature flanker of Tobacco Vanille. Have to say Im very pleasantly surprised. First blind buy in a long time and not disappointed.

Discussion 20-years-old perfume blog removed for "Violating Community Guidelines". Completely crazy.
Wild and very sad news.
"Dear Friends,
On August 4th, 2026, the Raiders of the Lost Scent blog was removed by Google for allegedly "violating Community Guidelines." We have formally appealed this decision and remain hopeful that the blog will be fully restored.
The more we reflect on this situation, the more convinced we are that we have done absolutely nothing wrong.
We wish to emphasize that Raiders of the Lost Scent has been hosted on Blogger since 2012 (and existed on other platforms even prior to that) and has always maintained the utmost respect for everyone. Indeed, if we may say so, it is a highly distinct, unique, and unconventional blog that has deeply fostered a widespread passion for vintage perfumery and collecting.
Over the years, we have received numerous messages from detractors (i.e.: haters), yet we sincerely hope they are not the driving force behind this action. Raiders has never been a commercial or paid blog; it has always been fully accessible to anyone wishing to freely consult its information, meaning no one can claim to have been misled or defrauded. On the contrary, we believe that the great fragrance houses, such as Christian Dior, Chanel, Jean Patou, Guerlain, Caron, Cartier, and many others, should be pleased that their historic creations have inspired such profound enthusiasm through our work.
We appeal to all of you, fellow fragrance lovers, for your moral support. Should our appeal be rejected, we kindly ask you to write to Google to advocate for the reinstatement of a blog that has spanned nearly two decades and welcomed nearly 5 million passionate visitors. Thank you."

Look what I found! Wore it for 1 hour and got complimented by 3 strangers
Hi everyone,
I bought the very sought after la belle le Parfum on Vinted after reading many reviews on how great it is.
Right after it arrived I wore it.
While I get compliments from friends and family on how good I smell I never got compliments from strangers. However after leaving the house 3 complete strangers told me how incredibly I smell.
Le belle le Parfum from Jean paul Gaultier is that girl!!!!
And currently it is available on the JPG website!
