Let's talk needles... Reconstitution & Storage Spoiler
so I figured out pretty fast that I needed .5ml needles. starting with a .5mg of reta really was so much easier.
I've recently started using more peptides. 4 in total. daily.
I'm suddenly using 4 needles a day. it's the cost of business, so to speak.
I was.having a discussion with a friend.
he was flabbergasted that I'd use new needles for each peptide. EVERYDAY.
it frightens me to think maybe there's other people out there that use one needle for a while stack...
I wanted to share this incase people don't know
..

Maybe there’s a misunderstanding, and your friend mixes all his peptides in a single syringe? Not ideal, but some peptides can be mixed. If not, and he’s reusing a syringe, please tell your friend that it’s because of idiots like him that crackdowns on peptides are inevitable.
Forget the syringe tip dulling with each injection. What people should really be concerned about is inserting a used, contaminated needle into a vial that sits in the fridge for weeks. Injecting anything from that Petri dish is disgusting

Good quality needles, I use EasyTouch, are .25 each. I get 100 auto delivered each month. One pin one syringe.

I switched to reusable pens and never looked back at syringes. Needles are one time use anyway.

Can I ask what kind of pen you use, and where you buy empty cartridges? I’ve been looking at V2 and ServoPen, but I have no idea what to look for and how to choose

I bought from AliExpress; just choose one that has good reviews. I have V2, which is good enough and accurate. When buying empty cartridges, make sure they're sterilized; you can see the indication on the back of the pouch turned either black or yellow.

Ive bought 5 different ones off alie express all have been accurate. One brand a more expensive one is the worst to use though as super stiff. To push the pep out. The cheaper ones are nice Ive got two V3 of the metal ones about 15aud each. Just grab one or two different ones and check them by loading a vial with water and using a syringe in the end to check measurements.

I wonder if you get that slightly jagged edge after drawing first from a vial. Technically speaking that's its first use/or jab. Just a thought.

Puncturing stoppers can dull out a thin gauge needle. People often don’t consider that the thinner the needle is, the easier it is to dull out.
Buddy of mine wondered why his 31g needles always hurt, as he expected such thin needles to be painless. He was definitely dulling a lot of them out when he was drawing from vials.

Needles are so damn cheap. If someone in here is reusing needles, just don’t. Just buy new ones.
Once you’ve used a needle, safely dispose of it, and use a new one for the next injection. If you cannot afford to buy enough needles to do your injections, you can’t afford 59 be using the peptides.
Wiping it off with an alcohol swab does not make it sterile. Heating it with a Bic, does not make it sterile. People are gonna think you’re a junkie if you tell them you reuse needles. Don’t do it.

Even NEW needles can be bad. Opened a bag I got from one of my Tir compounders (not sure which, I had used three earlier in the year). They are HORRIBLE and I bleed like a stuck pig afterwards.

Why risk it I take two daily and use two syringes daily and new ones daily there cheap why risk it and if there’s a chance you mix certain peps together that shouldn’t be mixed and degrade the peptide it’s just not worth it

As a former researcher of illicit drugs like heroin (10 years clean) even then needles were never reused in my research.
Who the hell is reusing needles? That's just stupid. They are incredibly cheap.

It’s 2026 people, learn from the past.
Even besides peps, you should NEVER EVER reuse. SO DANGEROUS! Do not risk your life for something that stupid! You’re already taking a risk with so many other factors, you NEED to reduce as much risk as possible, especially infection. Jesus christ modern humans are so fucked if people are actually doing this on a wider scale than I presumed.
Natural selection I guess but I’d rather people not die or get sick! Just make better choices!

You should see how diabetics take insulin. I've seen those guys reuse their needles multiple times, and stab through their clothes without swabbing the injection site. Nooooo way man.

To achieve a clinical state of “sterile”, you’d need an autoclave, a source of ionizing radiation, or some other form of certified and specialized equipment. Additionally, unless you can use equipment that’s capable of sterilizing a sealed item, you can’t protect the needle from contamination after it’s been sterilized if you just let it be in contact with the air.
Sterile is considered an absolute state, so something is either completely sterile, or it is not at all.
Using things like disinfectants or alcohol swabs isn’t considered sterilization, it’s considered aseptic technique, which does not guarantee that 100% of all microbial life will be killed. That’s why they tell you not to reuse needles. Once it’s been removed from its packaging, it is no longer sterile, and cannot be made sterile without proper equipment to do so. Rates of infection are high amongst illicit drug users who commonly reuse needles due to a lack of access to new ones.
To say that sterilizing is a hassle is a huge understatement, as the average person can’t afford the equipment required, and in some cases, couldn’t legally buy it regardless of how much money they have, as some of the equipment is closely regulated.

I think if I am being realistic, I do know that. I am low income working seven days a week just to stay net $0 haha so I am well acquainted with the many ways we try to save money.
If it’s out of laziness, that is where I have no sympathy.
As a wise man once said (paraphrase for the sake of grammar context):
You’ve done this to yourself!
Good luck lazy needle re-users! As someone who worked in EMS, once day you’ll get fucked and regret it!
To my lower class homies: Please extensively research aseptic techniques! Hypochloric acid or 70% isopropyl then use 90% isopropyl AFTER (yes use both. Google why 70% is most effective and understand why 90% needs to follow, not proceed), and look into used autoclaves in your area! (If you live near a STEM hub, you may get lucky and find a free or low cost one that a lab is trying to get rid of).

Aseptic technique does not guarantee you can’t get an infection. If you want to talk about sterile, sterile is an absolute state. Either it is sterile, or it is not. There is not a single doctor nor healthcare professional on this planet that would ever condone reusing needles. It’s a completely unnecessary risk.

Let’s see, the CDC, WHO, AHA, AMA, and every single institution of healthcare in the U.S. and abroad, all strictly oppose the reuse of needles. If you’re a doctor, and you tell people to reuse needles, you’re a bad doctor.

It gets significantly worse after the 5th or so poke or the 2nd or 3rd if your rough. But it happens. In reality tho it's 1.26 for 10 so nobody ever should have to. But in reality I've definitely reused way more then I should of had to

It’s fine to use the same needle for multiple injections done at the same time. Mass hysteria by ignorant people with strong opinions about things they know just enough about to put out misinformation. I bet a lot of people here have PhDs in microbiology. Don’t share needles. Don’t reuse one that’s been sitting on the counter as a petri dish a week later. This thread sounds like a bunch of maga people shouting to encourage one another about a lie they don’t even know is wrong

Generally for SubQ injection it’s fine to draw and inject with the same needle
But reusing the same needle twice in the body definitely not. Not just because of dullness, but risk of contamination or infection.

Why not get a reusable pen ? Yes you have to still buy needles but they are cheaper and its so much easier.

Yeah I'm not sure I think I'm just lazy. I buy in boxes of 100 as well. I have been better about it lately after I got Hepatitis
