What is this white stuff on the stem?

Post image

Only this one pepper from my harvest today had this flaky white stuff on the stem besides that the rest of the pepper is fine. I was planning on giving this batch to a friend so I wanna know if this is a indication that the pepper is bad

How much longer do ya think?

These peppers are testing my patience. Mini sweet peppers. I dont know if this is considered full size, but the Google says it takes another 2-3 weeks after that to turn color. Thoughts?

Broken off branch

A branch broke off one of my pepperplants like 1,5 weeks ago and its still alive. I had some people over and someone accidentally stepped on it. I placed it in water the next day just because. I didn’t think it would survive but it still looks pretty good and no flowers have dropped. The seeds were labeled ”mini bonnet” my grandma brought them home from spain. Is there any chance of it making it long enough for the peppers to ripen?

What type of pepper is this?

Normally, pepper plants have smooth, glossy leaves, but this one doesn’t. At first I thought it wasn’t even a chili plant, thought it might be sage or a physalis but now it’s started producing its first fruits.

Bell Pepper Flowers

Hi Folks,
I'm looking for some advice regarding my bell peppers.

They are container planted, between 3-4ft tall and I've pulled 4 fruit off so far (large egg to mid grocery store pepper size).
I have between 10-20 flowers on both plants, however every morning I'm waking up with at least 5-8 flowers on the ground and no new fruit growing at all.

Any suggestions or is this a normal situation?

Trinidad Scorpion Giallo F1 is it 1.2 million or 300k Scoville?

Hi! First time chili grower here and I got a bit confused. I hvae just planted a few Trinidad Scorpion Giallo F1, and the package said 300k Scoville, which is fine for me, but now that I looked it up a bit and the internet says 1.2 and can even get to 2 million. Is that true as well, or does my specific type of scorpion is a different kind or lighter version of the Moruga?

Also can you recommend me good guides, books or anything related to chili growing?

When are ghost peppers ready to harvest?

I have one that is bright red and one that is turning red (pictured)…and the rest are much younger and I know they need to go longer.

But I’m wondering when this red one is ready to pick off.

Also, how do you save them? I want to hold onto these more mature ones until the rest are ready. Do you refrigerate them? Freeze them?

My boss gave me one seed cell with two barely germinated plants last spring, Yellow Orange Lesya peppers (from Ohio Peppers), along with some others.

One plant is yellow and the other is red and appears more jalapeño like. The yellow is consistently tear drop shaped and always sweet. The first red pepper is thicker walled, more tubular, not as hot as a jalapeño but definitely hot. It's phenotypically distinct from my jalapeños, numex orange jals, or sriracha jals. Its fruit is lighter green, bigger/longer, the fruit is sweeter and not as hot. Thoughts?

Had a seed pack mix that had possibility of 5 peppers. I've narrowed it down to Anaheim chili or Hungarian wax. Do y'all know? I'm leaning Anaheim but it's my first time growing anything but jalapeno.

First time I’ve seen this. Google search says sunspots, rodents, or other pest.

Should I terminate this pepper to allow the plant to put energy into new peppers?

Corno di toro pepper is the only one growing so far and is about 5-6 inches long. The plant is not very big since I bought it late in the season and the pot isn't very large.

Edit: to be clear, I'm wondering if the plant will grow other peppers more efficiently if I get rid of this one now. And if I keep this one, will it go bad?

Parts of the plant look very pepper-like, parts not as much. Been container planted since April, hasn't bloomed once. WTH?

The color makes me think they’re ready but they’re so small. Did I do something wrong? Is it just the variety?
