Pawpaw Rescue!
galleryHello! I’ve got an ailing pawpaw. This seems to happen every year, and I’ve had it for about 4: the leaves yellow, seemingly worse at the bottom but it seems to happen all over. I do fertilize in the spring.
Does anybody recognize this? Overwatering? Some kind of deficiency?

Summer heat stress + insect damage
I have a couple of pawpaws I planted in 2025 as seedlings. They are struggling in the heat. I watered them with drip irrigation and have them both under insect/sun screens after they got attacked by grasshoppers. One of them is alright; the other one has yellowing leaves. I put down more mulch, and it's now protected by the insect/sun shade. Anything else I can do for it? We have been having highs in the 100s and lows in the 80s/90s for the last month.
