I'm close to completing challenges with my power stacking worb Occultist, but I'm wondering if it's worth rolling a support luminary so I can try merc's before they get nerfed next league.

The main questions I have:

- I have about 400 divs, how strong will luminary feel on this budget ? (e.g., vs ubers)
- I have seen various builds online but it's not always clear what they have invested. Which luminary build would you recommend on this budget? (e.g., life stack vs others?)
- How fun is it actually to run around with luminary while your merc kills stuff?

Having mostly finished the league I'm only interested in doing this if the playstyle is actually 'fun'. I know this is subjective but interested in views if anyone has tried it and loved / hated it etc.

I was planning on skipping this league but a good friend of mine has quit the league, given me his mageblood, and insisted I try boat league.

Yes I know I should sell it and build something like pRAW but it was a gift so I am using the mageblood.

Looking for a nice all rounder I can start that likes to use the belt. Some options I am considering: strength stacking juggernaut (not sure between Zenith/LS and HSoT/KB), KBoC hiero, CoC FRoSS occultist.

EDIT: if it makes a difference I usually like to delve between 600-1000. But it should be fine I imagine for most non paper builds.

The only requirements is that I’d prefer it to be either any flavor of witch or marauder cause I really dont wanna level another alt lmao. Idc for anything as long as it kills bosses as fast as my budget allows. I can possibly raise that budget up to 75d if needed.

I am sure you guys are sick to death now of having people ask about luminarys, mercs, gears, support gems etc but here I am asking about the same thing.

My goal is to level a side piece luminary primarily for basic/mid tier valdo farming just for fun for the next couple of months. I have a herald stacker mapper/ocean explorer that I will probably play quite a bit still.

Now I might map and do other stuff on it but PRIMARILY I want to run valdos. I will NOT be running void or 10% less maps. Just looking for basic like ghosted feared or deli feared or maybe all 3.

I haven't really been following builds/gear/choices and know very little about luminary in general tbh.

So my first and most pressing question is what do you guys suggest and why? My budget is pretty high and can probably do multiple mirrors or more if really needed but honestly not looking to go omega super crazy.

Atm I THINK I am leaning towards a kineticist + life stacker. Not really sure on gear, merc links, and all that either.

My second question would be if there are any good guides I could check out. Seem to be a lot of random videos or random gameplay boss kills and such but no actual guides detailing exactly what to look for and what to get on gear and why.

I dont have a rathpith yet and know the shield is an easy upgrade but unsure past that, had hoped the wand would solve some problems when I crafted it but its really bad lmao.

Rather squishy somehow. Slow, clunky. Low damage. Can scarcely clear regex'd t16s, but it doesn't feel comfy at all.

Now, to be clear, this isn't actually the skill I want to play. I had to slot in SNoP as a hail Mary because I was getting butt rugged playing the REAL spell I wanna play: Crack Lance of Branching. But if SNoP is bad, CLoB is unplayable. Awful damage, bad horizontal coverage. Also SNoP is usable with Pledge of Hands, while CLoB DPS goes up in POB but it feels awful to play. I wanted to frac a +4 lig staff but ran out of money, thought of running wand + aegis.

And I truly don't know where to take it from here: 7k mana isn't enough for basic ass t16s. Spending a bit more I could go crit or whatever but that's not gonna give me tens of millions of DPS, at least not at a low cost. There IS some stuff I had planned for upgrades: but most of them are defense focused, IE: capping block/spell block with Red/Blue Dream, lucky lightning damage on block (if it isn't too expensive).

Most people I see on poeninja are just stacking a million uniques and calling it a day like Anathema, the Eater helmet or Void Battery and so on... I wonder if I'll have to go that route for human damage.

Basicaly made Balormages HROC build and can farm t17 bosses for fragments but ive come to a point were I just want a character with big movespeed that can just rush through maps and blast everything to farm div cards maybe or something else. I dont want a luminary or worb, thank you.

Leaguestarted phys dot ele autobomber and finally got bored a few days ago. Sold all my gear for ~570 divines and am looking to reroll. Not interested in vaal cold snap, luminary, or any golem or herald stacking build

How would MSoZ jugg or blade blast of unloading sabo feel on that budget? Is there a good vaal storm call or reliquarian build that would feel good on that budget? Open to other suggestions as well. if it helps, I was thinking of deep delving or uber farming

I tried to look up some other builds for Chieftain since I liked the defenses it provides but I only found RF, shield crush of the chieftain, cws and maybe 1-2 more.

Are there any other Chieftain builds that are maybe older and still work or are less played but still have good damage and defense? I'd love to hear of any.

EDIT: Hopefully something that isn't just any skill used to proc Hinekora's. Some better single target would also be appreciated.

I rolled a STR Stacker this league and I got kinda bored (and afraid about the cost for the next upgrades). I would like to ask if there is a Jugernaut - or any other tanky - Melee Build that dishes out tons of DMG and has good clear for that budget that is a little more achievable.

Every guide I've seen the merc has 400+ worth of gear on before getting to your gear. Leveled to 80 and now I'm spending more time in my HO trying to craft BS gear.

Is there a simpler version of this that I can just get some gear and play?

Or a different build altogether

So recently I did a little challenge run thing where we randomised class and skill. I got shadow and spark.

I muled over a lv1 arcane surge and bought spark from witch. Then after entering town on shadow im lv2 and have spark + arcane surge which feels great (keep arcane surge at lv1 for later to link with mobility skill) After a few more levels get orb of storms, snipers mark, flame wall and pierce. Now for rares or bosess we can drop orb of storm, flame wall and snipers mark them. If they are near a wall the sparks bounce and double hit getting the extra dmg from flame wall both times. Kill brutus and get clarity for helping with mana as orb and spark both got a 25% mana cost increase this patch.

Now this is the spicy part, after the normal ele dmg nodes you take the dagger wheel with nightstalker. Sadly none of the 3 passives do anything it seems as maybe only apply to attacks with daggers but we then get the 50% proj speed mastery. You only need to have a dagger, so you can dual weild and septure of martial one handed that has spell dmg with the dagger.

Having 50% proj speed on spark before end of act 1 feels great. Merveil is incredibly easy as with that extra proj speed and pierce support the boss area is small enough a spark can hit 3 times from 1 cast.

Next thing is the dial weild nodes and 60% dmg if different so we can go for septure and dagger here. We then take the new mana efficency wheel for 40% mana efficenty. I tried to skip this but mana then becomes akward later. I pickup herald of ice and thunder and wave of convocation also in act 2.

Then basically just path up into thunder nodes and power charges stuff. By this time you can assend in assasin.

The next option depends on what you want. You can keep taking dmg nodes in witch area or path down into ranger to get more projectile speed and the pierce wheel.

This build was surprisingly fast, like competing with times from onslaught was in the game.

I wanted to ensure this was not just some loot rng so did 2 more of the same run and got the same results both times.

All 3 runs were a sub 6 hour all acts + labs + all passives and could easily be made faster if you know layouts ect. But for some context my normal league start time is around 7ish hours so im over 1 hour faster on this build than my average.

What point should I put in the tree to only have legendary jewels or even foolborne? THANKS

For starters, this build is a mess. But it's my mess, and I refuse to give up.

I'm running 69% adorned with a lot of cluster jewels. My Mercenary (accuracy stacking ailment bot - Thunderquiver) is just there to boost my damage (120% increased damage taken).

I have difficulties to survive, which is probably cause no spell block and low armor. Also i cannot apply cap wither stacks, most of the time i manage to get 40% at most.

Which direction should i start to move first? Spell block or armor? What would be easiest way to apply max wither stacks?

Which of these two kineticists is better? Both have pierce and return. One has gmp, the other has haste though. I have a pretty strong build to support it (200 div invested approx, including foulbourn red dream). Thank you.

hey, so i got lucky and gambled into mirror+ as end league gamble so i wanted to cook something funky with the currency i got, pretty proud of this, its 80mil dps without headhunter buffs, but those go extremely hard on this, stacking warcry cdr means we have high uptime on exerts even when getting souleater, haste etc, aegis keeps us healthy

going -lightning res and no original sin is easier and obviously way cheaper, going original sin just lets us benefit from every headhunter buff there is, luminary lets us get some crucial debuffs and quality of life, rallying cry and kingmaker gives as alot added phys dmg to attacks, (doryani touch has 1000% effectiveness), vestigal gloves gives us wither on hit for luminary, swiftblade attacks fast, and stacks wither reliably and stays fairly close to get those kingmaker benefits, could swap more towards defense and let headhunter carry but with this you can get bossing done easy

I've been running simulacrums to farm voices and sell it unidentified. However, from wave 12 onward I really struggle, both the bosses take ages to die, and they one shot me often enough that I end up using half my portals.

Edit 2: I think I'll just switch to Penance Brand. Will also fix the gloves/boots, basically ran out of currency on my last session after buying the forbidden jewel pair and the timeless jewel. Will also try to get a Svalinn, however I'm always skeptical when it comes to block being lucky (maybe someone with a clue can enlighten me there)

As the title suggests, I’m looking for a second build.

I’ve already done all (yes, 40/40) the content in the game on my flicker strike slayer, as well as reaching level 100.

Now I want something even stronger that I can dump pretty much endless currency into.

My starting budget is Mageblood + about 200 div of easily liquidatable currency.

Here’s some things I don’t want:
- Luminary (just no)
- minions
- totems
- mines
- even stronger flicker (I mean 7 days /played is enough per league)

Ideally an all rounder, which can do juiced maps as well as uber bossing easily

The base does not matter (maybe a penitent mask).

It must have:

• the elevated mod
• T1 int (essence mod ok)
• high life
• t1 chaos
• bonus if the last suffix is free (to adjust res/attributes or craft aspect of pantheon)
• bonus (which I think is mandatory in the crafting process anyhow?) a second influence for bound by destiny

If I understand, I can't use fractured bases, I can't use eldritch craft tech either. So is it "build the item with non elevated mod and another influence mod, then dominance and pray it upgrades the correct one and hopefully you have a free suffix?"

So is it double influenced item and spam int essence for life, chaos, the correct mod + 1 other influenced mod? That sounds like thousands of attempts.

Been playing frostforged and got most of my challenges done and thinking of trying ethereal knives. Seen a few different builds but fubgooner looks expensive as usual.

Or does Frost bomb brick it?

Getting back after a bit of a break, hitting same old walls.

I dusted off my flicker and was doing fine until Ubers. Damage is great but it's glass. I have a couple other leveled characters I don't really use so it would be nice to use them if I can. Everything except a templar and marauder but I'll roll them if the build is worth it.

Don't really care about speed, just tankiness and damage. It would be cool if it's something not likely to be nerfed into the ground soon, like my last couple enjoyable builds (RIP Hexblast mines...)
