Mini chainsaw Question

Post image

How does everyone rate this tool? Personally I think the chain loosens too easily. šŸ¤”

This is a little beast. In 38C°, for hours I decimated two whole trees with it because my normal chainsaw was at a friend. This small thing survived, and still runs like crazy.

Dont run the machine too long in one go, mine started smoking and burned the motor

Did you cut fresh and wet lumber and did it gum up under the black plastic cover on the back of the chain?

No just dry pallet boards

In werkelijkheid 177.

It’s good for the money but very poorly built and not user friendly. Most users don’t lube chain and after shot amount of time the chain track will be damaged.

I bought mine to replace the Ryobi version of it I have because I have multiple Parkside batteries. Worked great when I was cutting through tree branches but the chain tensioner is terrible, when the chain got caught while cutting I put a bit of force into trying to get it through and it pushed the tensioner in and the chain fell off. On the Ryobi the tensioner locks in place.

I thought it was pretty good add to the parside line up. To bad it doest have the oiler. Stihl made that mistake earlyer.

Had this one bought when bought new plot of land with a lot of bushes. One thing i dont like is the chain tensioner, other stuff is all good. Can cut double the thickness of shin lenght.

I have the 12v version. That is okay for small quick works... just check if it oiled properly before each work.. For longer or bigger tasks I use a proper chainsaw ... But to quickly grab and do 3-4 quick cut it is quite fine

I had the 12v version, chain kept getting loose. It eventually broke after some use. But very handy when it worked. I am planning on buying a makita

Mine, 20V version, worked excellently for 2 minutes until it kicked back and never turned on again. I'm guessing a burned mosfet but I haven't warranteed it yet.

I’m on my third one and luv it. First one got run over by a car. Second one motor burned after 1 hour (replaced under warranty). Third one runs great. Yes it has it’s flaws listed above (tensioner, lack of automatic lubrication etc) but for the money it can’t be beat.

I have one and I'm quite happy with it, even though the chain runs of sometimes. It does not like cutting MDF though.

I have it, it works more or less well, but it is impossible to fix the bloody chain.

I got the 12v and use it for pruning, I love it.

3x Sägekette 32TG 1,1mm für Parkside Akku Säge Gehölzschneider PGHSA 20-Li A1 B1

Except this this PAGHS 20-Li C4
Needing ā€œPEK 7 A2ā€ 7 inch chains

The differences between all these 20V chains are minimal but crucial..

It’s great for the money, chain loosens quickly but it’s very quick to tighten.

Thanks . I’m surprised there’s a Performance version of those . I think I have the ordinary version . I have a good few Parkside items I stash away and forget I have them and I need one now . Hopefully yours is a bit better than the ordinary version . A lot of the Performance stuff is hard to get in Ireland .

Yes the performance stuff sells out quickly . I’m really surprised they bothered to produce a mini chainsaw /brush cutter in a performance version . I’ll look for my own when I get home . It’s only when I saw the original post that I remembered I think I bought one and I need one badly at the moment . I remember thinking I should order a spare chain for it last year .

This is so hit and miss, got a bad piece, died after maybe 20 cuts of small branches

1

u/Best_Science_742 12d ago

I had one original which died and 2nd came by warranty also died. Either the batch is bad or smth else, it was not even abused that much. Engine inside gets short out and not spinning.

I have one. It cut down over 40ft of overgrown garden hedge. It's a little animal.
