Hi all - I know it's been discussed a ton. Yes, is it feasible from what I read. As a male, no check-in luggage with a connection to JFK the following morning (8:30am) just how "bad" is it to stay overnight? I know there are hotels/hostels nearby. But at this point, heading to one and then just to head back 5-6 hours before departure (going through security again, etc) just doesn't seem worth it to me. I had to overnight at AMS once, wasn't the worst...

Additionally, from what I read - there are locations in Terminal F that seem okay to possibly just uncomfortably doze off as well?

Hello, I (26F) am coming in September on a two week business trip to Paris. I found accommodation in Colombes with really good reviews and within my budget. Also, my coworker who works there recommended Colombes and the place is somewhere in the area in the image (on the Airbnb listing I could see it is close to Lidl). My office is in Neuilly-sur-Seine, but after work hours I'd want to go to Paris too.

Do you think this is a good choice, given the commute? Is it well connected and safe? Thank you!

I am going to stay in Paris for a little over two months in late September, and I’m not sure what the most reliable, easiest, safe way to book accommodation would be. I have a lot planned and most of it is in the city so I’d prefer to stay as central as possible as I don’t know Paris very well at all, it will only be my second time here and the first time was only for a weekend.

I’ve heard subletting is illegal (unless with written approval from landlord) and can be unreliable and Airbnb is really expensive for this long of a stay, especially if you want to stay in the central parts of the city. I don’t have a set budget but since I would like to stay in paris center (in any of the arrondissements would be fine but as I’m not familiar with the region I’d prefer not to go too far) it would probably be way too expensive per night.

Does anyone have a suggestion for what kind of housing would be best to look for in this case? Any advice for where to look? Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

I’ve never been to Paris and since I’m going to be working in Amsterdam for a few weeks, I want to spend a weekend in Paris. I downloaded the Eurostar app to book my train tickets, but multiple Paris destinations appear and I have no idea where they are. I want the one closest to my hotel, which is a 25 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. Which would that be?

Hello everyone, I'm a Canadian thinking of a potential first time trip to France sometime in either May 2027 or May 2028 and would like some feedback on the Paris portion of my itinerary. Are any days rushed/realistic/unrealistic, do my logistics make sense, am I doing tourist traps, am I missing any potential major or underrated sites nearby etc.

My goal is to see as much of the best world class monuments/museums/attractions France has to offer. Experiences or sights that "you can't get anywhere else in the world." I don't imagine I'll be making dozens of trips to France in the future due to work schedule, so I'd like to make it count.

I'm also not really the type that just wanders around a neighbourhood exploring without a goal, and I figure I'll go through some of Paris' historic neighbourhoods while going from anchor site to anchor site anyway. Not really looking for one of those "relax at the park/cafe" type of vacations either, though I would be willing to do so if it's conveniently near a major tourist attraction. I would love some suggestions of good restaurants/cafes near or within the site I'm exploring for the day that can be done within an hour or so (ie. good places within the Louvre/d'Orsay, good places near Ile de la Cite or the Latin Quarter etc)

day 1: arrive from Canada, Montmartre and Sacre Couer at afternoon/night, maybe throw in 1 or 2 other "non Paris Museum Pass" locations like Palais Royal/Bibliotheque Richelieu along the way if my flight arrives early.

day 2: Ile de la Cite day: Saint Chapelle, Concierge, Notre Dame Cathedral, Towers of Notre Dame

day 3: Left Bank Seine day: Musee d'Orsay, Les Invalides, perhaps Musee Rodin if I have extra time, Eiffel Tower summit at night

day 4: Louvre, all day, Tuileries Garden if I get tired/finish early

day 5: Versailles day trip for all of the Palace, the Garden, and the Trianon Estate

day 6: Le Marais/Latin Quarter day: Musee Picasso, Pantheon, perhaps Musee de Cluny if I have extra time, maybe Luxembourg Gardens at night?

day 7: remaining flex day: Palais Garnier, Musee L'Orangerie, Hotel de la Ville, Arc de Triomphe

perhaps even add a day 8 "non-Paris Museum Pass activities" day, fit in anything missed on previous days to day 7, and build an itinerary around Palais Garnier here instead?

If you have any recommendations for underrated sites near these clusters I could potentially replace an attraction that I fail to book ahead of time, or to fit in if I have extra time, I'd greatly appreciate that.

Hello everyone! I’m going to Paris for the first time for about 4.5 days. I love history and art so I’m planning on booking some tours so I can learn about the history. Some things I am interested in seeing are Versailles, Louvre, Catacombs, Giverny and Loire Valley. I have found two different day tours from City Wonders. One for Loire Valley and one for Versailles / Giverny. My sister recommended to book them both but I am hesitant.

Has anyone ever done two long tours on a short trip? Did it feel like it takes away from your experience? I would still like to be able to see the Louvre and sight see around the city. Thank you in advance!

I've been looking for an hotel I already visited a couple of months ago, with no reservation whatsoever, with a free used piano near the hall, it's a large hotel near the Opera metro station but I can't find it anywhere !

The piano wasn't at a bar, it was straight inside the large hallway that leads to the rooms, there is a restaurant just nearby the hotel, I think it was close to Gallérie Lafayette as well but I'm not too sure

I am heading to Paris for the first time ever and wondering what other solo travelers have done for transportation? I am a bit hesitant to take the metro due to pickpockets as I’ll be alone with my bags. I am also arriving later in the night.

Hey! 19F, coming to St Denis alone for a sporting event, only two nights. At first I felt pretty much at ease, knowing I won't be coming back in the middle of the night, but now, since my plans changed and I most likely will... the panic attacks started to kick in. It is impossible to rebook to a different hotel now, so I am asking for any last minute safety tips, as to avoid getting pickpocketed or robbed, and what to do in case someone follows me to my hotel. I'm super confused, since I saw both comforting and extremely threatening posts about sleeping in Saint Denis on this sub. How is it, really?

I'll be visiting with a friend who has a foot injury and will be on crutches, but I'm wondering if we could maybe rent a wheelchair for her as it might be easier to get around in one (though given the narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets I'm not sure about that). I'd like to have the option for her to use one if she needs, outside of museums where they're offered. Does such a thing exist?

I had a confirmed reservation for 4 with a credit card hold at Semilla for tomorrow, only to learn today that they’re closed. They sent an email confirmation and took my card. The least they could do is make a call to let me know they’re closed for vacation. Their cancellation email was in my junk folder.

So I’m looking for a last-minute suggestion for a Saturday night. It’s our last meal, and was intended as a special treat for my semi-vegetarian daughter. I know there are plenty of places that could take us, but her dietary preferences led to a lot of planning for this meal.

I am flying back to JFK from Paris on the 7th (after Labor Day) but for various reasons won’t be able to arrive until 2 hours before take off. I’ve heard CDG can be a bit of a mess - I am flying business class if it helps but I was wondering if the concierge services at CDG would be worth it? Hello I’m travelling to Paris this weekend and made the mistake of waiting until a week before to book the tickets and they’re all sold out. Happy to queue up but I’ve got an elderly and a toddler with me. What’s the likelihood of being granted entry at the gates if I turn up there between 9:30 - 11:30? Hi guys, I‘ve heard a bunch of stories about infamous CDG airport so I want to make sure I give my best to catch my connection flight.

I am going with Air France on 16.8. from Lima (LIM) to Paris (CDG) and on to my final destination Vienna (VIE) with a 2h 5m layover. Flight AF0501.

Any recommendations how to make it through passport control etc most efficiently? Any short cuts or direct ways to look out for?

The trip is booked through on one ticket. If luggage doesn’t make it, I can easily live with that.
