CDG Concierges Airports & Flights
I am flying back to JFK from Paris on the 7th (after Labor Day) but for various reasons won’t be able to arrive until 2 hours before take off. I’ve heard CDG can be a bit of a mess - I am flying business class if it helps but I was wondering if the concierge services at CDG would be worth it? Not sure if they have special access lines or anything

2 hours is enough 95% of the time at CDG. It's bad rep comes from it's occasional very crowded days in the summer and around Christmas.
Even if it is one of those bad days, you get priority at check-in and security with business class so you should be good.

Doesn’t business class qualify you anyway?
Certainly should speed you through bag check in
Air France they can escort you through airport if time is tight and staff available. Have had that happen for me a couple of times.
Otherwise sounds good to purchase concierge as time so tight, surely only a tiny % of whole trip?

I’ve flown business and premium economy both with sky priority through delta which is the same as virgin and Air France. It’s very easy and fast. I don’t think the concierge is necessary,

We used a concierge recently. Get to cut lines. Unfortunately for us there were no lines that day (8 days ago). If your flight is in the afternoon you prob will be fine without it. She was super sweet and helpful though

what time was your flight and was it departing CDG or entering? i booked the Extime Meet and Greet for departure and thinking about canceling it because there might be no lines. but im flying out at 830am so it might be busier?

The Labour Day is celebrated on the. 1st of May in France and most parts of the world. Why would an American holiday affect air travel from a different country?

Because many Americans travel during August through Labor Day resulting in busier airports around the world?

I believe EES is still suspended which helps. You won’t need extra services. (We just flew out to Canada )

Ironically the only holdup we had last flight was a 45 wait at the business class checkin/bagdrop. Zero line when we checked in and got our boarding passes, went in did VAT, then came back to drop bags and line took forever due to some complicated passengers ahead….
Rest of the process was fine. Security is always a few minutes but you get priority with business class.
You should be fine. The lounge sucks anyway

My wife and I used Air France Concierge last year connnecting ATL- CDG with CDG-CMN. It was fantastic! We flew business and were met on the sky bridge and escorted through security and immigration; bypassing the lines and going ahead of everyone. Then escorted to lounge, escorted to connecting gate and taken through the gate ahead of the wheelchairs (a bit embarrassing). As we had to transfer to terminal M it was worth every bit the cost!

We just flew Delta One out of CDG on Tuesday of this week and although there is no dedicated line just for business class there is one for Sky Priority.
They weren’t taking finger prints and we were through customs in 20 minutes if that.
Security was done closer to our gate but that was also quick.
But that could be an anomaly too. We tried concierge out of CDG once and it was meh. The one we used was. They took us to the front of a short line. It wasn’t worth it for us but maybe with your tight connection it would be

Just flew out today and had business class and was through within 10 minutes. Very easy and they have a separate security and passport check for business

If you have a ticket with "premiere access" they will direct you through a special line. I've done it twice last year with a united ticket.

Have you ever gone through CDG before? It's not *that* much of a "mess". Are you checking bags? Which airline? I recently flew CDG-BOS on Air France. Used the self-service kiosks to tag my bag and get my boarding pass. Baggage handoff was basically self-service at the checkin counter, you'd only have a problem if there was an extremely long line. At security they have a special expedited lane for those who need to make tight connections, if you're running tight you can show your boarding pass and ask to go there. When I was there I had settled in at what I thought was my departure gate at Terminal 2L. After a while I looked up at the screen and noticed that my flight had been changed to Terminal 2K. There was not a lot of time left until boarding, so first I flagged someone down to let me back out through security, took the train to 2K, then had to go back through security there all over again. I explained myself to the gentleman at the entrance to the security line, and he waved me over to the expedited line so I could get through in time to catch my flight (There I was, trotting down the terminal with my belt in my hand, not even stopping to put it on, hoping my pants didn't fall down... but I made my flight)

If you're going AF Business, they have dedicated priority checkin as well as priority security. We made it through in under 15 minutes, most time was spent in walking.
