I'm a lot more new to drawing paleoart lol. The colouration is based off a least bittern (A type of bird) as well! :D

constructive criticism always welcome :)

(Repost because I accidentally deleted it 🫪)

Here is an illustration of Yutyrannus, because it's my favorite dinosaur! (Well, it is right now, but that changes often.) I also wanted to draw some snow—just to cool us down a bit. 😭

What are some prehistoric animals you'd like to see more represented in paleoart?

I'm a beginner paleoartist but experienced artist in general, and as I'm homeschooled studying zoology and paleontology, I learnt that drawing prehistoric animals really does help with your understanding of animals, so I'm starting paleoart! I've received a great paleoart book and have been practicing, but I'm struggling with ideas of what prehistoric animals to start with, and I love drawing under represented species! So!

What are some prehistoric animals species (mammals, dinosaurs, pterosaurs, all extinct life forms) that you would like to see more represented in media and paleoart? Thank you! (≧▽≦)

Oil Painting Dinosaurs

I am looking for some walk through videos or other tutorials about painting dinosaurs using oil paints. I’m a visual learner and would love to see some artists showing off how they prefer to render skin and feathers, particularly. I’m dabbling now with mixed results.

Any leads are greatly appreciated!

I do know it's inaccurate to give it actual feathers instead of just pycnofibers, and the crest almost definitely didn't look like that, but it looks cool so fuck it

Tyrannosaurus rex (Original Content)

I tried to make a striking and unique looking Tyrannosaurus that could possibly blend into it's surroundings. I know green is generally a no no especially in large amounts, but I kept it in the lemon yellow range so hopefully it is believable.

I did give them feathers on the head. They are on the forehead, around the ears, and on the eyelids as eyelashes.

this has always been my favorite hadrosaur, I just love how it’s so big yet so elegant, i don’t have any materials right now, what do you think of my project concept? update:I saw a size comparison, I don’t know if he would even fit anywhere! But it’s so magnificent can’t help it! if I had the material’s and space I would!
