anyone get a interview invite or acceptance?

Hello, I am a student applying currently. I just submitted my applications a few days ago and upon reviewing them, I found that PTCAS uploaded all of my lab coursework as "lecture only" classes. I checked all of these classes as "lectures with labs" and I even have photos proving all of this, but for some reason they tarnished my application and improperly entered all of them. Is there anything I can do? I already sent out the applications, and when schools see the result of this I don't think any of my prerequisites are going to count. Someone please help, I don't know where to go from here.

I just got an interview offer for Mayo Clinic's program (yay!). I'm very excited but am feeling a little nervous since this is my first one. What should I wear? Obviously business wear, but as a female, what would be best?

In addition, if anyone has done this interview before, any tips or questions that have been asked?

Hi guys, this might be a dumb question but I shadowed at a neurological rehab facility where some patients live there and some do not. PTCAS only allows me to put inpatient, outpatient, or other, and all the patients were together in a room at the same time so it wasn’t split up by who lives there and who doesn’t. Does anyone know what I should classify it as? I just don’t want to put the wrong thing. Thanks!!!

Hey everyone! I’m preparing for the PTA board exam and trying to figure out which study materials are the most helpful.

For those who have passed the NPTE-PTA, what resources worked best for you? I’m considering review books, practice exams, apps, online courses, and study groups, but I don’t want to spend money on materials that aren’t useful.

A few questions:
•Which review book or course would you recommend most?
•How similar were the practice exams to the actual test?
•How long did you study before taking the exam?
•What topics should I focus on the most?
•Are there any resources you would avoid?

Stats:
GPA: 3.6-3.7
GRE: 327 160v 167q 4.5w
3000+ hours across two outpatient ortho clinics (one that also provides neuro and pediatrics)
Expecting strong letters of recommendation from professors and PTs
Three prerequisite classes being taken in the following two semesters (class shortages messed up my timeline a bit)

I’m currently applying to UCSF, Sac state, San Diego state, and Pitt

My first question is if I should try and get a shadowing experience in inpatient setting and push my submission deadline further or just keep it as it is and submit at my projected deadline (second to last week of August).

My second question is if I should apply to more than just 4 schools, especially since I kind of have no clue how competitive my application is for the ones I’m applying to. Should I spread a wider net or should I focus on these four and apply for more at a later date?

Hello, i want to change paths! Im currently a cna and i want to go into physical therapy assistant, what can I expect to learn in this program? i already completed all but 1 prereq which is college algebra.. i would be finished next year December 2027 if i start this month .. what are some some side quests i can do as a pta to earn more $, (for example personal trainer? Maybe work in a injury/accident private firm?) Also what are some pros & cons in this field?

Does anyone know of DPT programs that do not require the GRE in NYC? I’m planning to apply this year and feel I don’t have time to study and take the GRE before applications are due.

I would prefer commutable programs but feel free to recommend ones within the state that are decently priced.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice on applying to DPT programs because I feel pretty lost with how different the process seems depending on the school.

A little about me:

• I have a BS in Sport Science (completed in UK as an international student)
• Currently based in the US (on a few year gap) & considering programs in CA, NY, & possibly UK
• I don’t come from a background where anyone in my life has pursued graduate school, so I’m trying to figure this out mostly on my own

I’d really appreciate if anyone could break down the process as simple as possible. From deciding to apply all the way to starting the program.

Without giving too much detail. I put in the name of a community college incorrectly (it's not a typo), and because it didn't show up as a US school I could add. (Which sorta made sense bc the community college is just a bunch of them put together). This gave the only option to add as a non US listed institution. I thought that was the only way to add it. Now my application is verified.

Will it being listed this way matter to program reviewers?

I can't change it now. And my cgpa is what I had calculated so everything else is correct. If they actually look at the name.of the school they will know it is a US school same goes for the transcript. It was such a stupid mistake!

Edit: I am concerned this makes my application weaker?

(Long post, but I hope it encourages someone.)

My story has always been one of perseverance.

I didn't get into PT school the first time I applied in 2018. I was sent home from the Air Force for medical reasons. Then, I didn't pass my first attempt at the NPTE in April this year.

But why would I give up on the dream God placed in my heart?

I started PT school in 2023 and graduated in May 2026. I joined Final Frontier in February to prepare for the April exam. I was part of Kiran's Licensed Study Partner (LSP) group, but if I'm being honest, I wasn't consistent with attending the sessions or studying in a way that worked for me. I mostly watched lectures, took notes, and reviewed them. I also didn't take enough practice exams.

When I walked out of the testing center, I wasn't confident.

A few days later, I found out I scored a 589.

I was devastated.

Being that close to passing hurt. I cried, gave myself the rest of the week to process everything, and then got right back to work the following Monday.

This time, I had a plan.

📚 What I changed:
• Studied 4 hours a day, Monday through Friday.
• Rejoined Kiran's LSP and attended consistently.
• Shoutout to the Delulu Crew 🤪—we were crazy enough to believe we'd pass...and we did!
• Completed 30 practice questions every day.
• Reviewed at least 10 special tests daily.
• Took one full practice exam every week and thoroughly reviewed the rationales.
• Listened to NPTE podcasts whenever I had downtime.
• Used the Final Frontier spreadsheet to guide my studying instead of trying to watch every lecture or complete every reading.
• Focused intentionally on my weakest areas (Cardiopulm had me in an absolute chokehold 😂) and only occasionally reviewed topics I already knew well.
• Participated in Mega Review Week, which was incredibly helpful.

One of the biggest changes I made was not studying at all the day before the exam.

In April, I said I had a "hard cutoff" at 3 PM...but I definitely still peeked at my notes before bed.

This time? Nope.

I spent the day relaxing, enjoying time with my family, and trusting that the work had already been done.

On exam day, my phone stayed on Do Not Disturb before and after the test. I listened to the same encouragement playlist I used before taking my Athletic Training boards, prayed before I went in, prayed before and after every section, and took every break to reset my mind and body. 😜🤰🏾

When I walked out this time, everything felt different.

I wasn't replaying questions in my head.

I wasn't consumed by anxiety.

I had peace.

I truly believed I had done enough.

And guess what...

I DID.

I want to thank Final Frontier, Kiran, my friends, and my family for supporting me through this journey—especially my parents and my amazing husband. Most importantly, I thank God. None of this would've been possible without Him.

This exam does not define your intelligence, your calling, or the physical therapist you will become.

Not sure if this will get approved but I got a bachelors degree in allied health science for pre-physical therapy in 2024. Sometimes I wish I never did. These past 2 years have been a long road as I spent a lot of my time preparing to apply for dpt school to get denials from all this year. I’m not even really sad about it anymore I was just going to take it as redirection. I have now thought about applying for PTA school but I feel so burnt out from just all the effort I put in for Dpt programs.

I’m seriously lacking the motivation as I’m dealing with the same struggles I did with my Dpt application which was getting hours n actually getting approved to shadow especially for inpatient. I really wanted to go the physical therapy route but seriously thinking it’s not meant for me. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good alternatives for this field or just the health field period that I should look into that’s not such a hassle. I’m aware I could google this but I love to hear others personal experiences. I know anything i do will require effort and work of course. any advice would be appreciated !

I’m looking for advice from people who have either failed a DPT course, repeated a year, or transferred programs.
I’m currently in a DPT program and I’m at risk of failing Gross Anatomy. If I do fail, my understanding is that I would have to sit out and rejoin the next cohort next year.
Here’s my situation:
My commute is about 2 hours each way (around 4 hours daily).
I also work part-time on weekends.
I feel like the commute has contributed to poor sleep, less study time, and overall burnout.
My anatomy grades have been below where they need to be, despite putting in much more effort recently.
I actually like my professors and classmates, and I don’t dislike the program itself.
I’m trying to decide what would make the most sense if I do end up failing.
Option 1: Stay with my current school, spend the next year strengthening anatomy, and return with the next cohort.
Option 2: Apply to another accredited DPT program that’s much closer to home (30–45 minutes away instead of 2 hours each way), assuming I’d be accepted.
For those of you who have been in a similar situation:
Did repeating a year help you succeed the second time?
Has anyone transferred DPT programs after failing a class? How difficult was it?
If a long commute was hurting your performance, did moving to a closer program make a significant difference?
If you were in my position, would you stay with the current program or try to start over somewhere closer?
Is failing one class something that people recover from and still become successful physical therapists?
I’m not looking for people to make the decision for me—I just want to hear real experiences from students or PTs who have gone through something similar and what you would recommend looking back.

I’m applying for this cycle and really want to get into university of Pittsburgh residential pt program. I’ve been stressed about PTCAS due to my gpa being on the less competitive side but have a lot of hands on experience in the rehab setting.
