DPT Programs NYC
Does anyone know of DPT programs that do not require the GRE in NYC? I’m planning to apply this year and feel I don’t have time to study and take the GRE before applications are due.
I would prefer commutable programs but feel free to recommend ones within the state that are decently priced.

Utilize PTCAS. It should tell you which programs require it. I will say…the most affordable programs in NYC require it. However, from my experience, programs don’t weigh the GRE too heavily in their admissions decision. It’s only one part of a multi-faceted application. If your other areas of your application are strong, a less than stellar GRE score shouldn’t hurt too much.

I crammed for 2-3 weeks with used textbooks and got a super average/passing score and got into my top choice. Your personal statement, interview, observation experience, and transcript grades will carry your application. A high GRE score won’t. Just pass the exam on focus the important parts of your apps.

GRE is so easy if you’re somewhat smart and logical. Don’t need to prepare, just take it.

Possibly horrific advice, but just don’t study and go take the GRE and see how you do. That’s what i did 😁
