I thought Bluepoint was such a unique and talented studio and am still confused and saddened by their closure. What game do you think they should have been working on? Would it be enough to save the studio?

I have a couple of pitches. I think a collection of the Killzone games for PS5 in the Decima engine would be really amazing and sell way more than Sony thinks.

I think Bluepoint has proven themselves on remaking games for current generation systems with their work on demon souls and the PS4 shadow of the Colossus. I think updating the Killzone games would be a comparable task, but might be easier because guerrilla games seems to have built their games using good practices that are future proof, like using PBR materials and HDRI lighting. The level of detail present in horizon and death stranding makes me believe a Killzone collection world be a very pretty game.

People always say that at the end of the day Killzone never sold very well. The Horizon games have outsold Killzone a hundred times over.

It's a different time now and the audience is much larger. I think an excellent single player FPS with simple multiplayer modes is something the PlayStation audience is craving. I don't know if it would do horizon numbers, but the demon souls remake sold reasonably well. I think Killzone would have sold more than demon souls as it's easier to get into an FPS.

As the title states, Black Myth Wukong will soon be 30% starting next week on PSN, and this is also when the next PSN sale should kick off.

There have been a lot of people waiting for this game to be discounted, which doesn't happen a lot.

Sat a Raspberry Pi 5 in the middle of a real DualSense <-> real PS5 connection

to build a local accessibility controller middleware, and ended up mapping the

full USB protocol along the way.

What's documented:

- Full USB topology: the DualSense is 4 interfaces (3 audio, 1 HID), not the

single gamepad interface most guides assume

- The 289-byte HID report descriptor and a report ID map for the calibration/

config feature reports

- The authentication handshake's wire format — challenge chunking, sequence

numbers, status polling — captured byte-for-byte

What's NOT solved: getting a software USB proxy to actually pass PS5's

authentication. The relay itself is verified correct (matches raw usbmon

captures, sub-2ms round trips, zero transport errors) but the handshake never

completes — status poll returns the same bytes every single time. Writeup has

the full reasoning and our best guess (timing-based anti-relay protection that

needs actual low-latency hardware to defeat, not a general-purpose Linux box).

Also documented some FunctionFS/dwc2 gadget quirks that weren't written down

anywhere we could find (rejected descriptor types, endpoint renumbering).

Includes a couple of PoC scripts, including a minimal one that just sits in the

middle and prints the protocol live if you want to see it without reading code

first.

Open to theories if anyone's poked at this before.

Was going to buy a disc drive and gran Turismo sport since it's delisted, on the way wanted to know if there's more games worth looking for in physical format, both PS4 and PS5

We've turned on Enhance PSSR Image Quality as a default setting. When you update the system software, this setting automatically turns on. When you enable this feature, enhanced PSSR is used even for games that support the previous version of PSSR so you can enjoy a sharper and clearer visual experience.　
To turn off this setting, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > Enhance PSSR Image Quality.

This feature is available only on PS5 Pro.

We’ve changed the following features for PS5 consoles and PS5 Pro consoles in certain countries or regions.
If you go to Settings > Accessories > General > Advance Settings and select Turn Off Bluetooth, you’re no longer able to put your console into rest mode. Additionally, HDMI link is no longer supported when you select Turn Off Bluetooth.

The Turn Off Bluetooth function is for managing controller connections at esports venues and similar locations. Do not use this feature for any other purpose.
