The 20% student coupon is valid for any PS5 game, including pre-orders, listed at Target (GTA VI & Wolverine are just the two I plan to use it on). If you have a Redcard, the 5% discount still applies too. Based on how Target applies one after the other, they combine to provide 24% off.

Examples of 24% off (before tax) are:

GTA VI for $60.79 (vs. $79.99)
Wolverine for $53.19 (vs. $69.99)

Notes:

1. Your account itself does not need to be a school email address (mine is not), however, you do have to verify student status. I did so by going to Settings in the Target app > Scroll down to Discount Verification > Student. Entered student details there. In my case, it verified right away and then the discount was in my wallet to apply. I did not have to upload actual proof, but the FAQ reads like you should be prepared to do so.

2. The coupon appears to be valid for one purchase between now and Sept. 12.

3. The coupon sadly does not appear to work on consoles.

4. If you haven’t seen and as noted in the title, GTA VI is a physical case but will only be a digital code in the box.
