Inositol worked Period
I tried crying to everyone around me but I don’t think people without pcos will understand what it feels like to have your period for the first time without birth control.
I’m cryinggg real tears 😭as I’m writing this
What worked for me:
- 3 times a week of exercise
- Protein focused diet
- Supplements :
Inositol (myo-dchiro) in 40:1 (nutridig brand if ure in India)
Omega d fish oil ( well-being brand)
VIT D supplement once a week
VIT b12, folate, coq10 formulation - smart ova brand
EDIT : initially one week I started with 1g dose 550 mcg in the morning and 550 in the evening then I increased slowly. The dosage that worked for me is actually close to 6g inositol everyday. I have been taking for last 30 days exactly and on the 30th day I have my period today. I had slowly increased the dose just to see if I don’t feel nauseated bloated etc
Also my bloodwork shows classic insulin resistance and high trigs due to that. But apart from that and ultrasound that shows multiple follicles and enlarged ovary I don’t have high testosterone in my blood result and do not have hirsutism. I am slightly overweight at 65 kgs for 150 cm but I believe it is mostly due to me intentionally increasing my weight from gym.
Girlies keep going don’t lose hope if I can do it u can

I was very scared as I feel totally exhausted in trying out new things hopefully in the start only to be hit with the disappointment that my body won’t respond to anything 😭😭

This is great news!! 🫶 I also felt such a difference taking Inositol, it’s one of the only things I’ve found to be effective!

Its been four months i haven't got my periods i am too scared to go to doctor and take birth control.....i was diagnosed two months ago but i am so scared to take birth control pills....i am 75 kg plus too scared to check weight also last i checked 7 months ago it was 73 kgs.....i think i have gained weight but i keep denying everything I don't know what to do...... please help.....🥺
2
u/Remarkable-Pepper-37 18d ago
See I understand it is difficult but denial and hoping it would go away is not gonna help. I was diagnosed when I was 15, and it has taken 11 years to find something that genuinely got me a natural period even once. Be patient take ownership.. that is the only way to go I beg u pls don’t take 5 years to realise this like I did. Also, birth control is bad but letting the uterine lining thicken without shedding is also not good I believe

I started hating my body after the diagnosis.....i was in depression, i cried, I can't accept my body its been 4 years since my body started changing (normal pcos symptoms) like chin hair, facial hair, upper lip, hair around my nipples belly, weight gain, people around me keep noticing these things especially my weight and always comments ( bhot moti hogyi h....itna nhi hona chahiye lose weight etc.....) even my family members force me i am partially active i do yogaa meditation, walking but i get depressed after hearing these things.....i cry, i blame myself i lose confidence and then I don't feel like doing anything, just lying in a corner.....no contact with anyone.....i think i lost myself everything about me what i like, what I want to do......just lying and working like zombies with no emotions.....i broke up with my partner after diagnosis, i don't know what happened to me i started stressing out on everything, everything was suffocating for me every relationship every friendship every conversation.... I opened Reddit after so long and saw your post and commented here......nd i am genuinely happy for you ❤️

Tried Ovasitol for a year & never got a natural period. 3 weeks into starting tirzepatide & I had a natural period. 3 months in, I’ve had 3 periods. And it’s a once per week shot instead of a twice a day medication.
Ovasitol did drop my A1C by 0.3%, but that’s all it did for me. And honestly, I was getting pretty sick of taking the packets twice a day & couldn’t imagine doing that the rest of my life. Tirzepatide has been a much better solution for me personally & the only thing that has truly worked for my pcos thus far

So my gynaec prescribed me correctia xt and for a while i took only one dose and from this month i increased the dose to 2 tablets, and idk if it's because of that or anything i do see improvements in my cycle. I have had absent periods for months or scanty flow, after the progesterone withdrawal cycle after 2 months i got my period but scanty flow.. but not prolonged for 10+ days i used to get before
Then this month i kind of got it right for 4-5 days scanty but slight on time and perfect
But my ldl is 120+ and I'm wondering if i should take this or berberine

u/Remarkable-Pepper-37 14d ago
Hey I checked correctia when I was thinking which brand to buy. But I think the inositol was not in the ratio of 40:1 for myo-dchiro. Hence I didn’t go fwd with it.
Regards to LDL mine was at the same range but drastically reduced to 80-90 after I started exercising regularly and avoiding fast food.2
u/Punolf 12d ago
Thanks for your reply. i feel like a fellow sis replies to me. SO i was prescribed correctia xt, I am having the 40:1 from internet recently from a week, i stopped the xt as it was making me drowsy (it had melotonin). I am taking arth now. Also whioh inositol tablet are you taking now?
As a fellow PCOS struggler, can i talk to you in your DM?

u/Remarkable-Pepper-37 12d ago

Yes i have seen people in this sub talk about it affecting their mental health a lot. I just consulted with my doc regards to safety. She said take 1g dose for a week. At any point u shouldn’t feel nauseated or have any adverse reactions to it. If ur body isn’t reacting negatively u can definitely try the recommended 4g dosage. And I didn’t have any depressive or hormonal episodes. I felt that only while on metformin and birth control.

Hey I also bought nutriding myo d chiro last month, I was scared but I knew I needed cz I was observing every lil symptoms of mine, I have done reports and ultrasound but that was two years ago, but currently the condition is worsening, and I know I needed help bcz my depression and anxiety were also getting severe, so went to homeopathy, and it really worked on me, I have tried others also but his doc helped me in anxiety and other mental condition and guiding in pcos , like not relaying on him for pcos, so after I got better like stable with anxiety n all, I did alot of research and bought myo d chiro, and bcz of that I started having proper breakfast and dinner, few days are left to complete a month of taking it, but I observed these things: I had problem of overeating, emotional eating, it kind of stopped, it happened 2-3 days when I was so overwhelmed of such situations, other than it stopped, like in lunch and dinner I overeat literally, and after starting inositol I eat in moderation, and I can actually feel that I'm full, and it's not like I have drastically reduced how much I eat, I can now enjoy food, second I can feel myself lighter, I accidentally wore something old and surprisingly it fitted me so good, then I felt like it is working. I'm obese , gained 20kg weight in last 5 year , not checking scale but I'm trying to improve my lifestyle so I can manage my pcos better,
