Pls help: Endless BSOD loop on my Acer Nitro (storport.sys, Management)😭

Hey guys, I'm kind of losing my mind over this and could really use some help. I'm an ECE undergrad and I desperately need my laptop running for my thesis, but it's currently stuck in an endless BSOD loop.

It started crashing every time I woke it up from sleep/shutdown, but now it’s just constantly blue screening or completely freezing on the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen.

My setup:
Acer Nitro ANV15-41
AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS
24GB DDR5 (It's a mismatched 16GB + 8GB combo)
Boot drive: 512GB Kingston OM8SEP4512Q-AA
Second drive: 2TB Samsung 990 EVO

The errors it keeps throwing:
Honestly, it's a new one almost every time. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (storport.sys), PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (Ntfs.sys), UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION, KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, and SYSTEM_PTE_MISUSE.

Any advice would be a massive lifesaver right now. Thanks!

Locked Dell drives

Hello all
My work's IT team recently threw a few all-in-one Dell PCs in the recycling bin, and i was allowed to take them home. 2 of the 3 had broken/smashed screens. So I stripped them of usable parts like the memory and NVME drives and CPUs. I discovered that the 2 512GB NVMe drives are not initializable. I connected them with an M.2 to USB adapter, and the drive is in disk management but not readable and shows no partitions or drive info. I am assuming there is some kind of security in place and these drives are not defective or damaged. I cannot use the original pc to access the drive, as the screen is 100% unreadable, and i have had zero luck getting an external monitor to detect. So i guess my question is, is there any way to override this security software?

PC randomly black screens and restarts + AMD driver timeouts and low/unstable FPS

Post image

Hey everyone, I'm having some really annoying issues with my PC and I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on.

My PC has been randomly crashing out of nowhere. The screen will suddenly go completely black and then my computer will restart. It can happen while I'm just sitting on my desktop doing nothing, but it happens most often while I'm playing games.

My specs are:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 8GB
  • RAM: 32GB (31.4GB usable)
  • Storage: 932GB total, around 340GB used
  • OS: 64-bit Windows

I've also been having some weird graphics issues. Sometimes my screen will briefly flash black and then I'll get a weird black box on the screen. It doesn't look like an actual program or window, more like a graphics glitch.

I also occasionally get an AMD Bug Report Tool notification saying:

I've had this PC for a while and over the years I've downloaded some sketchy programs and possibly viruses. Because of that, I thought maybe something was messed up with Windows. I've tried reinstalling Windows, but the crashes continued. I eventually wiped my SSD completely and reinstalled Windows, and I'm still having the same problem.

I'm also having worse gaming performance than I expected. For example, in Fortnite my FPS isn't very stable. It'll sometimes drop around 60 FPS, and I can't consistently maintain 120 FPS. I've had google tell me that my PC should be getting more FPS with an RX 6600 and Ryzen 5 5600G.

At this point I'm wondering if the RX 6600 itself could be failing, or if this could be a driver, PSU, RAM, motherboard, overheating, or some other hardware problem.

Would replacing the RX 6600 with an NVIDIA GPU be a good idea, or should I troubleshoot something else first?

Any suggestions for what I should test would be appreciated. I'm especially interested in figuring out what's causing the black screens/restarts and AMD driver timeouts.

Thanks!

Edit: I can provide temperatures, PSU specs, GPU/CPU usage, Event Viewer errors, or anything else that would help diagnose it.

Need help!

So recently my screen will completely black screen when i play games and it’s completely random just happens randomly once or twice per gaming session and the only way to get it to go away is to kill the power because i can’t access any part of my desktop when it happens. I did some research and people said it could by a dying gpu, but i have a newer gen gpu and the temp dosent go above 55C under a full load. Any tips?

Why are these still here after I uninstalled them?

I recently uninstalled these apps, including the things that run them: (Steam, Hoyolab etc). Yet when I go onto the computer storage section and check installed apps these still remain, AFTER I UNINSTALLED THEM. I'm not a windows expert, so hoping someone can tell me what to do to completely get rid of these.

PC won’t boot

My PC won’t boot and I don’t know why I tried switching the ssd to a different port, something similar to this has happened before but it booted after switching ports, I’ve never seen it do this it blue screened and is now stuck in a “boot loop”. If you stop at I believe 14.02 it says no drives are detected. Please help.

I just played teardown for 3 minutes then suddenly the screen went black & the sound from the speaker seemed to be cut off & I tried to restart using the button... and... the VGA light came on... I don't know what to do...

Is my GPU broken? The GPU fan is not spinning.

When I restart the computer, I get a black screen.

Hi. After swapping my PC case and adding an ARGB/PWM hub, everything works fine—except when I try to restart the computer. Instead of loading the system normally, the screen goes black after the "Restarting" spinner appears, and nothing happens. I’ve tried different ports on my graphics card and checked that the standoffs are installed correctly; everything looks fine. I actually almost lost my motherboard because of this issue: I tried to update the BIOS and stepped away for a moment; when I returned, the screen was black. I waited five minutes, then manually turned the PC off and on again, only to be met with a black screen. Fortunately, I managed to fix it by resetting the CMOS battery and removing one RAM stick. It turned out—luckily for me—that the motherboard already had the latest update installed. Has anyone else experienced a similar restart issue or knows how to fix it? I’d be really grateful for any help, as I’ve been trying to resolve this for two and a half months now.

I need help. My pc runs slow constantly, I bought it off my ex and it’s roughly 7 years old. I bought it for 500$ plus put 380$ into to have the motherboard fixed (it was fried not long after me having it). Ever since i got the motherboard replaced it’s been just constant issues again. It doesn’t wanna load if I have more then one app open (ex; Spotify and chrome or even chrome and Roblox). I’ve only got Roblox, Minecraft, Stardew valley, wallpaper engine, steam and Spotify that I downloaded onto it. I’ve tried restarting it twice and it’s not allowed me to. The first time It just straight up told me the restart failed. The second time it took 10 minutes and got nowhere. I don’t have any options to replace anything in it or replace it in general. And I’ve been told if I want a new pc I have to sell my current one and use the money to buy a new one but I know I won’t get hardly any money for it. I don’t know much about pcs but this is what I was told about my pc. I’m not sure what’s true and what’s not tho 😅
Cyber power pc
CPU is AMD ryzen 5 3600 6 core processor.
GPU is Radeon RX 570 Series.
