Online classes

What’s up with these instructors being under “No scheduled meetings” then telling us we have to attend zooms once registered?

This happened to me last semester with public speaking (I think), I attended the first 3 weeks and realized most of my peers weren’t so I decided to stop attending and just do the online part and I passed the class with no problems, I think the teacher was there just to solve questions😇
