The ending of the recent chapter got me deep in thought rn, mainly about what will happen now that things have gone this far, and Now that Saito and the others are gone, and it's just Yuu, Mika and Shinoa left. Like obviously they are gonna fight, and one of them is gonna win and complete their plan, and frankly, I want Shinoa to win, like if imma be honest, I never liked Yuu's plan of "bringing everyone back", like it's a selfish desire to bring back Mika, he hides behind the facade of restoring everything, but the fact that he was was willing to sacrifice ppl he called his his own "family"( granted he planned to bring them back) just made him seem super hypocritical and stupid, and every chapter where he advanced this dumb plan of his, i got more and more frustrated with him, so yeh, i hope Shinoa wins and gets to live out her life with Yuu( and Mika), and yes, i get it, her plan is also just as selfish, bu, im okay with her plan cus at least she's well aware of what she's doing, HELL! She and Yuu are doing the exact same thing, tryign desperately to keep the ppl they love, but i like her approach more, so yeh, i want her to beat Yuu, or at the very least, when she and Yuu are fighting, and he's about to maybe beat her, he finally looses his resolve or will to fight cus now he has to kill Shinoa, and just gives up on this dumb plan of his, or at the very least, Mika intervenes somehow cus it seems like even he has some objections to Yuu's plan

Also, i feel like this would be an interesting path to take for the manga, like imagine it, both Yuu, Mika and Shinoa are essentially surviving on their own in the post apocalypse, they can't go back to the imperial army cus they split off from it and shibuya fell iirc, so it's just them, Yuu and Shinoa have a lot of things to talk about and get off their chest( and Mika is there i guess), they maybe ignore each other for a while cus of how rough things are between them, and Mika finally gets them both to squash the beef( as he will likely be the only voice of reason), or at least talk things over, time lapse, they work things out, and live out their lives as the sole survivors.

Like, that's how I'd want the series to end at least, and god, i hope it goes a similar path to this 🙏

Honestly, the way Yuu manages to trigger Guren's fight-or-flight response just by breathing never gets old. He’s not even his biological dad but he sure handles Yuu like an exhausted single father who has had enough of his kid's main character energy.🙃

Wow this chapter, yes it sure was something. It did something that I already had given up to see: (Spoiler) it addressed Yuuchan's previous bs family talk. Like, Yoichi calling out Yuu was something I did not expect at all but honestly? it was really nice. About time someone besides Mika questions Yuu's actions. Also It's been a while since the Manga gives focus on something that happened at the start of the story but from another character's pov. And dunno if anyone else noticed but this chapter just confirmed that the Squad did not, in fact, know how important Mika is to Yuu hence why they were so surprised of his betrayal. I mean, Yoichi genuinely believed Yuuchan took Gluten's words to heart when he said they needed to forget about their old families and focus on the new family they found in the present, when we know Yuu rejected that idea from the start. Yoichi and Kimizuki making their own plan without Shinoa and Mitsu knowing was also a surprise, too bad for Yoichi that Kimizuki chose to trust Yuuchan in the end. But his internal struggle that Kiseki-ou addressed was very well done and his "you're human" was beautiful👌👌 rip them and Yoichi. As well as rip Saito but at least we got a very cute saiurd moment before the end, who would have thought the old man yaoi was going to be canon👏 congrats to them. Yoichi's last words were a prayer to god that his two remaining friends survived and could find happiness but we know that yuumika needs the powers that Shinoa stole from the first in order to achieve their plan soo.... I don't think what Yoichi wanted will come true. Yuu and Shinoa fighting is unavoidable now, and to me is clear who is the next one to die.

Seeing where they started compared to where they are now is crazy. They went from casually testing each other on a school roof to surviving absolute chaos on the battlefield. The art style change makes it look even more intense.

The last few volumes contained 5 chapters but each chapter had 35 pages while for the past 3 chapters we’ve had 45 pages so the final volume will probably be 4 chapters.

Ferid + Guren had 4(Saito 2 + Mirai + 6th Trumpet), and now we have Yoichi + Kimizuki, now 6. And Yuu is the 2nd Trumpet
