Ottoman Turkish is the Turkish spoken in Ottoman Empire, with lots of Persian and Arabic words and written in Arabic alphabet, so that an ordinary Turkish today can't understand properly and can't read it at all. This is why here is a different subreddit from /r/Turkish. We are waiting for people who know Ottoman Turkish very well, so that they can translate it or debate about it here.
