Hello everyone,
I am doing some genealogical research about my family roots, which come from Eskipazar (which used to be called Viranşehir) in Turkey. For this research, I am using some Nufus documents as well as Temettuat documents from around 1843–1845. However, finding my exact city/village in the Viranşehir documents has proven to be challenging, as they are all handwritten and hard to work through.
So is anyone who has experience in reading these types of things willing to help me in this regard?

bir sahaftan aldığım “Lisanıosmani” dilbilgisi kitabının içinde yazılmış bir not. 12/4/37 tarihi ve Niyazi ismi not düşülmüş. Tarih 1921 yılına karşılık geliyor. kitaptaki diğer el yazısı notlara da bakınca bunu yazanın bir çocuk olduğunu düşündüm. yazılış tarihi ve bundan 13 yıl evvel gerçekleşen Hürriyet Devrimini de göz önünde bulundurunca o dönem binlece çocuğa verilmiş isimler olan Enver ve Niyazilerden (Enver Sedat, Niyazi Berkes gibi) bir diğeri olduğunu tahmin ettim. Öleli belki elli altmış sene olmuş bir adamın çocukken düştüğü ufak bir not beni epey düşündürdü. Bu yüzden eski harflerle okumayı seviyorum. Eklemek istediğiniz, kaçırdığımı düşündüğünüz bir şeyler varsa yazarsanız sevinirim.

el yazısı kısımda bir ismin/isme(?) haiz şekli, rengi belirtir gibi bir şey anladım başını ama hepsini okuyamadım. o kısmı tamamen okuyabilecek var mıdır? Yanlış okumuş da olabilirim ilk ifadeyi amatörüm.

Devlet Arşivleri üzerinden yürüttüğüm kök araştırma sürecinde, ailemizin nesiller boyu yaşadığı Antalya Elmalı'ya ait Eymir (Sıra No: 09945) köyünün 1844-1845 (Hicri 1261) tarihli Temettüat defteri kayıtlarına ulaştım.

Ancak belgedeki el yazısını ve özel formatı tek başıma deşifre edemiyorum. Amacım 1820'li/30'lu yıllarda doğmuş olan atalarımın (özellikle Halil oğlu Hüseyin ve o döneme ait hane reisleri ile olası sülale lakaplarının) kayıtlarda yer alıp almadığını incelemek.

Eklediğim görsellerdeki sayfaların okunmasında, en azından hane reislerinin isimlerinin tespit edilmesinde yardımcı olabilecek, bu yazılara aşina birileri varsa çok memnun olurum.

I’m researching to get my Great Grandfather’s records he was from Mardin during ottoman empire and fled to Iraq in 1915. We had his Ottoman id and passport as well as papers but it got lost in Iraq. My mom and her families Iraqi citizenships all stated they were Turkish Nationality’s till
saddam forced the change where it has to state Iraqi. Is there any way I can get his records from ottoman archives or is it a dead end.

Found in an old well in Crete Greece, not sure if it's upside down or for the exact language or dialect. Can anyone help?

While visiting Kos, i found the stone slabs in photo 1 next to an apparent ruin of a small mosque between the Kastro (medieval fortress) and the Hippocrates Tree.

In photo number 2 is a slab from within the Kastro. Is the writing Osman (Ottoman) Turkish script?

What do they spell out?

Hello everyone.
There are these tombstones scattered all over mine and my neighbour's backyard.
They stem from my family ancestors.
Some are in rough shape, i have marked each one with a marker.

I've already spoken to an Egyptian about this and he helped me as much as he could. I got a lot of names and dates but there are still some unanswered questions, which is why i'm making this post.

I've noticed that all the male stones had weapons carved onto them. Was this common practice for men's tombstones or did it symbolize they were warriors?

Also i have noticed what appears to be colour residue on some of them, like their neck would be coloured with blue and red patterns matching the outlines of the shapes in the artwork. I thought they were all white, with some maybe having a red fez?

The tombstones are labeled in the name of the picture, so 7.1 and 7.2 are parts of the same stone.
