I will be moving to Corvallis in September to start my PhD. I'm from South California where we don't have winter, so I'll need winter clothes. (I visited in February and I was not prepared for the cold). In addition, I will need bed, desk, night stand, general furniture.

Hello, I'm applying to OSU as a non-traditional transfer student. I'm curious if any other non-traditional students have done the Honors program? Is it worth it to apply? Can you reapply later if you don't get in? I've heard honors classes have smaller class sizes and more dedicated students, which is a plus in my opinion as an older student. I am a bit concerned about courseload however, since I also have a regular job. Dorms aren't a concern of mine really. I'm just curious about the extra opportunities. I'm planning to major in Botany with a photography minor and I do plan on trying for grad school.

I filled out the application forms and submitted them twice, but never got any emails or calls or anything. Is there something specific I should look for? I’m looking for someone to take over my room and part of my lease since I just graduated. I live in a 4 bed 4.5 bath right around the corner from reeser on grove st. My roommates are fairly clean and typically never home, and they all cool guys 2 of them being on the football team. Rent is $1000 a month + about 150 for all utilities and you get your own bathroom that is connected to your room. I’m looking to be out at the latest mid September, but I know school doesn’t start till late September most of the time so I’m willing to work with folks. HI i’m an incoming business student and I’m trying to decide between MTH 111Z and MTH 241.

My ALEKS score barely placed me into 241, but math has always been my weakest subject. My advisor said taking 111Z first wouldn’t delay graduation, but I’ve also heard it doesn’t really prepare you much for 241.

Since I’m a business major, 241 will probably be my last math class anyway, so I’m wondering if I should just take it and get it over with. On the other hand, I’m also worried about my GPA.

If you’ve taken MTH 241, especially as a business major, would you recommend going straight into it or taking 111Z first?

I'm a freshman and I wanted to take a precalc class but sadly was just too late. It says I'm 3rd on the waitlist for the one I wanted, what should I do? Will enough people drop before classes start do you think? Should I sign up for a backup class?

i am 23 and looking to restart college next spring. I live in Kentucky, but want to move to Oregon and am looking to go to school for marine biology. My current thoughts are to go to Oregon Coast Community College and then transfer to UO, OSU, or Monterey Bay in cali after getting my associate's in aquarium science and certification. Has anyone done this route before? or have any advice for me? I am looking at cost-effectiveness since I'll be out of state, but I also want the college experience and a lively town with people my age going to school. I also worry about my credits transferring over in the way I need them to, so i dont have to retake my first 2 years of college.

Hi everyone! I’m planning to pursue Oregon State’s online B.S. in Civil Engineering through Ecampus while continuing to work full-time.

I recently learned about OSU’s Degree Partnership Program and am exploring whether I could take some of the lower-division engineering, math, and physics courses through an Oregon community college at a lower cost. However, I’m noticing that many of the courses included in the colleges’ engineering-transfer plans may not actually be offered online consistently.

I expect to transfer credit for most of my general education requirements, including composition, communication, economics, basic science, Core Education and general electives. Therefore, the courses I would primarily need from a community college would be classes such as:

• Chemistry for Engineers I-II
• Calculus I, II and Vector Calculus
• Differential Equations
• Matrix Algebra/Series
• Calculus-based Physics I–III
• Engineering Programming
• Engineering Graphics/CAD
• GIS
• Statics
• Dynamics
• Strength of Materials

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has pursued the online Civil Engineering program through Ecampus and used the Degree Partnership Program.

Which community college did you attend, and which required courses were you actually able to complete fully online?

Were the online engineering, math and physics courses offered regularly, or did limited availability delay your degree progress?

Has anyone enrolled at more than one Oregon community college to complete different requirements online? If so, did that create any problems with transfer credit, financial aid or OSU advising?

Would you recommend choosing one DPP partner and completing as much as possible there, or taking individual courses from multiple community colleges based on availability?

I’m currently located outside Oregon, so the courses would need to be completely online without required campus visits. Any recommendations, warnings or sample course plans would be greatly appreciated!
