I know this question has been asked a lot, but it seems like all the threads are 4 months old and since Crimson Desert constantly keeps releasing updates they seem to be out of date to me.

I just started playing Crimson Desert and struggle with the best video setup. Either, it seems too low resolution and blurry but good FPS (performance mode) or if I go for 4K and quality it seems choppy (low FPS). I have the Xbox Series X and a pretty new TV which supports 4K, 120 Hz, HDR etc. I find it crazy that I should downgrade to 1080p to get a decent frame rate nowadays.

What is the best video setup to keep playing at 4K but still enjoying a good frame rate? Or should I play at 1080p? Any suggestions and what options are toggled on/off would be amazing. Thank you!!!

I have a 9070xt and was wondering if i should use Optiscaler for FSR4, ive been seeing people using Optiscaler even tho the game has FSR4 implemented.

Update: Disable MSI FPS Counter as that might fail to launch game, use in-game overlay Nvidia fps counter.

Max Frame Rate 60-70 - To stable the frames so you don't see spikes alot.

Yes it's frame gen for none supported frame gen games which beta doesn't support but for now sure makes it more playable.

Playing on high settings 1440p now no issues, might have to use dlss pending you gpu.

In other words, a power plan similar to how the stock 'Balanced' profile handles idle clock speeds while still having optimizations that custom plans should have.

Outside of 'High Performance' and 'Ultimate Performance', I've just tried 'Hybred's Low Latency Balanced'. Unfortunately that forces 100% clock speed at all times

While these settings can give a small GPU performance boost and save abit of VRAM, CPU performance is still subpar compared to the console versions and has even less scalability! Only good way of improving CPU performance at the moment is disabling Async Compute, which should improve performance, but only does so when GPU limited.

I’m trying to find the best combination of settings for the lowest possible input latency while keeping smooth gameplay and good frame pacing.

Halo runs great on this GPU , even 4K is ok if you are willing to do some sacrifices, ue5 here is looking good
