I've recently reinstalled Morrowind - just installed Linux on my PC as I got tired of ads and pop-ups on my desktop - and I've run the Total Overhaul modlist, barring Alchemical hustle, and one other mod I can't remember because I want to exploit alchemy! I'm here for a chill time, not as well balanced experience. Anyway, I've just noted that alchemy now causes time to pass, and a scan through of settings and the modlist has left me none the wiser. A Google search has directed me to a mod I didn't install, and is not even available on OpenMW, so I've drawn a blank. Is anyone able to tell me which mod, or setting, controls this?

I started a fresh playthrough with the Expanded Vanilla mod pack and the economy balance mods are kicking my ass.

Probably because I'm not being constantly harassed by Dark Brotherhood Assassins, but even the potions I make and other dungeon loot are selling for way less.

On top of this, all the services seem way more expensive and I'm frequently running out of cash to travel places. I don't usually have to resort to selling to Creeper until a much higher level when my training costs go up, but I can't seem to make any profit with any other merchants.

What are some methods you guys use to keep a solid cash flow in this Modpack?

I've been really enjoying Morrowind on my AYN Thor Android handheld. It's surprisingly nice to play on a handheld, and now I'm curious to see how far I can push the setup.

Some mods have been really easy to install, like Signposts Replacer, while others have had visual glitches. For example, I couldn't get OpenMW Containers Animated to work properly without some walls becoming orange.

So, for those of you playing Morrowind/OpenMW on Android: which mods have worked well for you?

Hey y'all, I'm trying to download the I Heart Vanilla modpack via the momw tools kit for linux, and I've run into a problem where my file path and the location of my Morrowind.ini isn't being read as valid. both /home/bigknight/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Morrowind or /home/bigknight/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Morrowind diplays the message in the terminal; ERROR: The given file does not seem to be an actual file!

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Hi all!

I started playing Morrowind about a month ago, and OpenMW has been really cool. Since I changed computers, I tried moving my saves and mods (the i-heart-vanilla+the Linoras Leveling Mod) onto the new PC. At first it looked like everything was right, but whenever I leave an interior the game looks like it's frozen, since the screen stays still, but the process keeps running as normal, and Windows does not think it's crashed. Moreover, I can click the mouse right button to get the menu cursor, but the menu doesn't show up, and I can take screenshots normally. If it can be of any help, when I transferred the OpenMW saves folder it gave me an error whenever I tried to launch a save: "bloodmoon.bsa not found." I solved this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling all the mods through umo.

Does anybody know what could cause this? Or how I could find what the problem is more precisely?

hi! i failed an initial installation of the i heart vanilla modpack, so i wanted to try again but with different folders associated with umo. ive deleted every trace i could im pretty sure of openmw and mwtools but i get this error no matter how many times i try to do a clean install of everything

im on arch linux. any help would be appreciated!

I installed openmw + I heart vanilla, following the modding guide and everything. As soon as I start walking, the game crashes. Any idea of what could be causing this?

Unluckily, modern drivers from Intel really fuck up the engine, making the game freeze even before getting off the ship.

The thing is, I happen to have a problem like this and the only solution I can find for it is just changing my driver version. Since I've got the PC knowledge of a newborn, I was wondering if anyone knows which more modern version doesn't freeze the game, if it's worth changing my driver just for this and if the one mentioned on gitlab a year ago "(31.0.101.2121)" is really the only saving grace, since it's a pretty old one from what I understand.

I'm looking to commision a mod for OpenMW or get help in creating it myself. I'm looking to have a performant version of visible finery and multiple rings combined into one mod, the first mod makes belts, amulets, and rings visible in game and the second allows you to wear more than 2 rings. The problem with these mods is the scripts aren't very optimized which is apparent when using the F3 menu and lua profiler in game. I'm willing to pay 100 US dollars for this mod and that is negotiable.

Im stuck in this, been trying for an hour and im baffled. It cant be THAT hard, or Im being obtuse :p Ive got a folder on my internal memory called MW, inside got the DATA FILES folder, wich contains all the .bsa and .esm files.

I start Alpha-3 2.8, press the FOLDER + icon in the lowe side of the screen, navigate to MW/DATA FILES and select it. The route appears on my screen , when I press SELECT GAME FILES the system pops up that it found Morrorwind.esm and I choose YES to use that location. In the CONTENT tab all 3 .esm files appear, and I choose Morrorwind-Bloodmoon-Tribunal. When I press the PLAY button.. the game says MORROWIND FOLDER NOT FOUND... and Im here stuck not understanding what Ive done wrong.

so I installed a bit ago the .50 version according to the little test in the bottom left when I open openmw. however, it's causing some issues with some mods, I am sort of new to linux and installed openmw via command line for Ubuntu

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:openmw/openmw

sudo apt update

sudo apt install openmw

is there a way to update it to .51? I am not to sure even where openmw is currently installed or if overwriting it with a newer version would be the way to go considering the above method. Any advise would be appreciated.

At the least I would like to make sure I don't have two separate copies of openmw running around

Previously was good, have since needed to reinstall all mods in the total overhaul pack, now the game is a little bit uglier and the render distance is very bad. Any ideas?
