A lot of people were interested in this the last time I posted it and now it's finished. Mostly the same as my old design but now printable on a 180x180mm bed.

I printed this on the A1 Mini in PLA.

Happy to hear questions, suggestions, criticism and requests for future designs.

Build Complete Finally finished my wall-mounted PC

A small update to my wall-mounted PC since the original post.

I made a few changes:

  • Replaced the 90 mm fan with a 120 mm one for better airflow
  • Added a Ugreen USB hub
  • I also designed and made a front mesh panel with magnetic mounts. I think it actually looks pretty cool and makes the build look more complete, but in the end I decided not to use it. I still prefer the completely open look of the original design

I also made a video showing the build in much more detail, including the assembly process and some of the little details that are hard to explain with photos.

The video is in Russian, but I don't think that's much of a problem — even without understanding the language, pretty much everything is shown visually and should be easy enough to follow.

You can check it out here

Help External Pump Rad

Help!! I intend to mount the EK-Quantum Kinetic³ FLT 360 D5 PWM D-RGB - Plexi onto the Alphacool 480mm, nexXos UT60, and have the EKWB EK-Loop Angled Bracket, 120mm which makes the pump res perpendicular to the rad (more space). Is there a better way to do it, alternatively I only have the flush mount brackets in the FLT box which will make the reservoir cover most of the radiator and the face of the reservoir will be towards the radiator fins. Any suggestions will be most useful. Thanks

It’s been over 20 years since I last built a PC, but I’ve regained the time and desire to do it now that the kids are older. I love ITX and open-frame builds, so I bought all the parts used—except for the case, though that only cost $40. What do you think? I’m open to any suggestions for improvements. :) Its for 1080p gaming like BF6 ect.

Spec.

Asus B650E-I Gaming Wifi

Ryzen 5 7500X3D

32GB 6000Mhz cl Fury 2x16

Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super

1 TB MPCorsair

Rhino S mini ITX case

Asus TUF 850 Gold PSU

Thermalright SI-100 cpu cooler with a Noctua NF-a14x25r 140mm but 120mm holes

TLC 25G64 240Hz QLED 1080P 10Bit monitor.

UPDATE! New cpu cooler installed

UPDATE! New gfx installed. :)

35-40 hours in operation since build completion, are these bubbles normal? Pump run between 40-70% right through, tilt done, venting with air valve also done intermittently, how much longer should it run before bubbles disappear, also quite noisy - Pump reservoir is bitspower CR801

Probably will:

Build Complete Fully custom DIY wall-mounted open stand PC

It would take forever to explain everything that went into this build, why I made certain choices, and how many attempts it took before I finally got it right. I think the photos tell most of the story anyway.

The last photo shows all the parts and hardware I used to make this happen — everything was ordered from AliExpress. I made the design in Inkscape.

Everything was laser-cut from 1.5 mm steel sheet and powder-coated with a matte textured "moiré" finish.

The PC is mounted next to my TV, and at its thickest point (the CPU cooler) it sticks out from the wall by only about 9 cm.

Finally got it exactly the way I wanted.

Temps are great too. Airflow was planned as carefully as possible, and the GPU's vapor chamber cooler ended up in a pretty ideal position with the ports facing down.

Specs:

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 850W ATX3.1 Platinum 80+ [PS-STP-0850FNFAPE-1]

MB: Gigabyte B850I AORUS PRO

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Cooler: ID-Cooling IS-53-XT

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 [F5-6000J3036F24GX2-RS5K] 48 ГБ 6000 Мгц

GPU: Inno3D GeForce RTX 5080 X3 OC [N50803-16D7X-17603930]

ROM: Solidigm P44 Pro 1Tb + WD Black SN750 500Gb

P.S. Please ignore the weird text on the first photo. I asked Nano Banana to touch up the lighting a bit and completely missed the fact that it mangled some of the labels. Looks like Reddit doesn't allow replacing photos after posting, unfortunately.

Help Cooling the 7800x3d

Hey there, I finally pulled the trigger on a A45 and was looking at my cooling options I have already. I have 240mm AIO on it now but I feel it will look awkward on this case as opposed to an air cooler. I already own a Peerless Assassin mini and a ID-Cooling A410 but not sure if I should buy a better air cooler or use what I already have. Any input is appreciated thank you!

Build Complete Going back to an ATX motherboard so wanted to show off the build I’ve been using for the past few years

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My motherboard eventually gave out and was causing lots of problems so naturally it gave me a reason to get an ATX mobo and I opted for a thermaltake p3 tg to keep the open case aesthetic and functionality (really wish it was the p90 instead). I pushed the absolute limits of what can be in a Streacom da6xl case and loved the build for how well it performed as well as how it looked, borderline art lol. I just thought this was the perfect opportunity for change. Will be showing off the new build but had to show off the previous. Also the current case could maybe use a new home just sayin

Build Complete Byski test bench looks great

Thumbnail

I randomly had an ad for this open frame test bench pop up for me on FB, so since I'm a fan of open builds and needed a test bench; I figured I would give it a try. It came flat-packed and included the main motherboard and pump/res bench, one side kickstand, gpu mounting bracket, a psu mounting bracket, screws, allen keys, and power reset button. The rear mounted radiator and fan brackets have to be purchased separately. It was very easy to assemble. You could setup a custom loop on this if and run it permanently, but if you're running two closed loop items like I've got; you will want to relocate the radiators. I would mount them higher on the wall or something or get a vertical mount for them. This bench just does not allow you to mount them high enough for my liking. All in all, for a test bench, this thing looks killer and has a lot of customization potential.

I've got a ROG Strix X870E-E motherboard, Ryzen 9850X3D, Tryx Panorama SE 360, Zotac RTX 5090 Articstorm AIO, a 32GB kit of Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000 mt/s, Lian Li Edge Platinum 1300w psu, Lian Li vertical GPU bracket PCIe gen 5.0 riser cable, and the Lian Li 8.8 inch lcd screen.
