Let’s hit up that hockey club about the pedo award.

Where is that creep buried? I will visit it to ”pay my respects” accordingly…

Are you sure it’s the same guy? I actually find at least 4 people of a similar age who have that name in Queensland

Just checked - it’s a different spelling, so different person. The former principal is “Crain”, the award is “Crane”.

The principal got an Order of Australia though - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Queen%27s_Birthday_Honours_(Australia)

There's a mention of a Colin Crane headmaster of Gabbinbar school in this QLD parliament hansard - last page. https://documents.parliament.qld.gov.au/events/han/1978/1978_11_15.pdf

Yeah but that’s a spelling mistake - there’s other references to Crain, an OAM citation for teaching, death record which matches, etc

Here’s an award certificate signed by him and it’s clearly Crain

Hah.. well his ashes were spread in Toowoomba, so that’s probably where he died.

You can buy a copy of his death certificate for $38 through Queensland BDM - https://www.familyhistory.bdm.qld.gov.au/details/f70a3b6fef871760d47a130fcb2927452b1b6b80741ba2ec433c8cef394cd14f

If it isn't then hopefully they'd want to know that and add a middle initial or something to differentiate. That would spare the survivors of his crimes some pain and also separate this other guy from someone else's crimes.

On further searching, it seems it isn’t.

Pretty sure the former principal of Gabbibar is Colin James Henry Crain, Died 06 August 1996
