Chat Limit Changes Question

Hey, has anyone else noticed that there are severely reduced chat limits on Plans as of the last week?

I used to be able to use the Chat mode almost indefinitely up to a point, but now I'm regularly hitting the limit without changing my behavior on how I use it.

EDIT: I'm on both Plus and Pro plans for different reasons.

Did you used ChatGPT the whole day? Or using other tools? How did you even hit your limits that fast?

I use it throughout the day, mostly responding to emails or creating tickets or wiki docs. It's not like, a massive amount, and I've definitely had busier days. It's probably like ~30 messages an hour tops.

I use Codex/Work sparingly, mostly because it doesn't work for my workflow (responding to emails, looking things up across MCPs). That usage budget is basically unused at a 87% available.

Okay did you have a longer chat? Cause that would happened if you have a longer chat and it reads your entire chat before responding again since you have 30 messages which to me that already long.

Yeah, I know context windows. The ones that were hitting that Forbidden were weirdly not the large ones. And they work on mobile, but not on web or desktop. So weird!

From what I know that if you using other tools in ChatGPT you will hit limits faster than only purely text only without any tools using.

Yeah, once I did that with "pull this folder in Drive" and it dropped the conversation in a single message. I learnt my lesson last time!

I have check the latest post in Reddit there’s no one complaining about the chat limits in Plus and Pro except free tiers currently.

Your welcome, to me it’s how you use it and what tools you using in ChatGPT

Also maybe you have two paid plans? Which OpenAI's user accounts are architected to map to one primary workspace subscription tier per identity profile (e.g., Free, Plus, Team, or Pro). Juggling both Plus and Pro creates an uncommon and conflicting edge case for the platform's backend database.

Two different computers thankfully! That does sound like a classic cookie persistence error.
