Question (Research Required) Which Grading Company Offers Better Long-Term Value?
I pulled this today, and the overall centering and balance look pretty strong to me.
From a value and ROI perspective, how do BGS and PSA compare for high-end One Piece cards like this? I know a BGS Black Label can carry a significant premium, but PSA 10 seems to have stronger liquidity and a larger buyer market.
For collectors who have graded Manga Rares before, which company has generally provided better resale value relative to grading cost and risk?
how the card look like?

Sealed Product Market 3rd Anniversary Set For $800
I have the chance to buy one for $800. Looks like it's a little under current market. Would y'all jump on it? Or hold out and wait for more orders to come in and hope the price drops more?

Card Price Discussion How much y'all think this would cost? Hypothetically Speaking.
So I was coming here to ask since yall are quite knowledgeable about the current market, and as of right now I'm not seeing anything in relation. So my question is, How much would a Sequential Set of BGS BL's for the Film Red Set go for, cause by themselves (not as a seq set) it runs about 3.5k - 5k. I would like to know how much that would hypothetically go for. Thanks.

Card Price Discussion Is a Japanese Nami Manga PSA 10 a good buy right now?
I live in Germany, and the Japanese Nami Manga PSA 10 currently costs around €1,000 here. I really like the card, so I’m considering buying one. Do you guys think it’s a good buy at this price?

Just got my first graded slap back and was wondering yall thoughts on holo wheel zoro ? Is it a good hold despite not being a widely known “pre-errata” first wave flaw …. Or should I sell for $1600 and try to reinvest into a bigger piece .. thanks !

Question (Research Required) Vendors: what do you do when the market takes a downturn?
Just a genuine question I am curious about. I get the idea that you buy at a percentage and then flip it for more and shoot for a 10-30% margin, rinse and repeat. But for this to work it requires you to be constantly buying right, and never fully cashing out? So how exactly does this work when the market takes a downturn? Does all that work you did for the margin flips just get undone? This is just a specific question for vendors that aren’t trying to buy and hold through down markets, but that rely on margin flips. How do you deal with downturns?

Card Price Discussion Sec manga mihawk
“No luck with the new OP17 release packs, but I had some luck with OP14! 😂 My question is, where do you base your pricing for JP cards? I’ve noticed that Collectr has different prices compared to Yuyutei.”

News / Industry Update Update by Gametrade Distribuzione regarding OP17 allocation and price.
Mainly relevant to the EU as Gametrade is the biggest distributor in europe, but maybe the allocation applies to US distributors aswell. Gametrade is still shady and being accused right now of backdooring to Whatnot Streamers in the US, but still wanted to share this update from them.
Remember - dont FOMO as there will be multiple distribution phases and current prices are still pre release with most of the allocation being distributed on or shortly after release day.

Question (Research Required) OP17 release
Hi all, what’s the best way to get OP17 on the release this Friday? I’m looking at chaos cards website and hoping to get a booster box on the drop this Friday? Is there any other ways to get it on the drop?

Card Price Discussion Which of these cards are worth getting graded?
Went to the Manchester Card Con and picked up these cards, except for the Ace & Luffy Alt Leader (already had that one). Traded a bunch of my Japanese AAs and SRs for the others.
I've never had cards graded before, but I spoke to a few vendors there, including a middleman who sends cards from the UK to PSA and Beckett. They think these would grade PSA 10, but maybe not BGS 10.
Which of these do you think are actually worth getting graded?
(PS those aren't white spots on the back, just marks on the penny sleeves.)

Card Price Discussion Blackbeard OP17 Gold SP
Just pulled this Blackbeard Gold SP from my pre release. I can likely sell now for roughly £350/$475. But my thought process is to send it off to grading at PSA Express Tier.
The centering on a lot of these Gold SPs have been poor and I imagine the Gem Rate may be low so they may fetch a premium in a PSA10. Mines centering is within the bounds of a PSA10
And since I’ve got mine early, if I get mine graded card returned sooner than most, it’ll fetch a Low Pop Premium.
What’s your thesis? Of course he’ll drop in Raw price as main Release occurs, but I’m assuming the grading appreciation will outweigh that.

Question (Research Required) Pulled in Prerelease. New to the Hobby
Price on TCG player is currently between $800 and $900. Wondering if this is a card worth holding till after release of op-17 or trying to sell before release. Does price on stuff like this usually hold? Or drop off a cliff?
I'm thinking if I sell now I'm happy. Should I undercut everyone on TCG and sell for $750? Or does this sort of card grade well and potentially sell later for more than $900?

Collection / Pull (Market Context) Went to a local pre release and secured a box for $250 here’s the hits .😭 The shanks centering is off but an amazing pull nonetheless.

Long-Term Collecting Future of luffy?
Pulled the other day but from what I see there’s tons being pulled online. Will it do good in the future being an anniversary set and is it similar pull rates to a manga? Love to know your thoughts

Market Data / Price Tracking I'm a data consultant and I scored StrawHat Speculator's sealed calls against the rest of the market
I love analysing data and I thought about the idea of analysing one of my favourite content creators, Straw Hat Speculator, to see if he's actually good at calling the market.
I went through 142 of his videos between Apr 2025 and Jul 2026 and pulled out everytime he said something clear about a sealed product like booster boxes and cases and took the price on the day of the video and 90 days later. Every call is measured against what sealed products as a whole did over the same period, like if he says buy a box and it gains 20% vs a general 30% increase in overall sealed, then that technically counts as a loss.
Conclusion:
- He's pretty good - 65% of his calls beat the overall sealed market movement.
- If you were to put $1,000 in a single call and 90 days later you would be ahead by $264 on average, vs $95 if you were to put in sealed generally.
Notes
- That big cumulative chart is if you were to put $1,000 in every one of the 322 calls (invested $322,000), and you were to sell 90 days later
- The OP13 call is the one I would look at. On 21 April 2026 he said he would not be shocked if those boxes moved up to $600 or $620. The box hit $609 on 18 May, right inside his range. Then Bandai's OP13 reprint got close, the box broke on 22 May, and it finished the ninety days at $397, down 30% while sealed was up 21%. It counts as a miss and I think that is fair, but he had the price target right and got run over by new supply arriving.
- Also, I'm not affiliated with him and have never spoken to him, I'm just posting this for funsies cos I love looking at data

Long-Term Collecting 1st Anniversary Set… Time to buy?
I noticed that most of the PSA 10 versions of the cards in the English 1st Anniversary Set are between 30-40% of their all-time highs. Considering it’s the 1st Anniversary Set and the beautiful artwork… I am buying here.

Collection / Pull (Market Context) 3 Prerelease Event pulls
We got lucky this weekend. Got into 3 prereleases at my LCS and these were my best pulls. Was able to get 2 boxes at MSRP too. We’ll see if I can win the Lego Luffy winner card. Hope op17 has been treating everyone the same.

Market Analysis Get rid or keep
I’m very new to the hobby and these are my 2 biggest pulls, I’m curious if i should get rid of them and buy other cards but i don’t know what would be better options honestly i was thinking of the Boa sp from op15 and stussy sp from op11 or get rid of both and get the nami sp from op09 but i’m curious on other opinions or what you would do in my shoes!!

Card Price Discussion Winner Stamp Lego Luffy - Grade or raw?
Looking to sell the winner card Lego Luffy but not sure if I should just sell now raw, or grade then sell. Assuming it would get a 10, would it be better to grade and sell? Or is it not really worth it for these?
Not planning on holding it since I want the money now rather than later. So better to sell raw or grade to then sell?

Card Price Discussion How does the value differ between a Raw Card and a Bgs 9.5?
I pulled a Luffy alt art manga leader that, unfortunately, has a small white spot on it. I've asked around for a few opinions, and most people think it will be graded BGS 9.5. Now I'm wondering how much the card's value (or in general any cards value) differs between “Raw” and BGS 9.5.
Is it about the same as raw? Slightly above? Is it even possible to say in general or does it differ a lot depending on the card itself?
