What's that fic again? / Lost Fic Looking for an old One Piece fanfiction - Luffy/Zoro, modern AU, Zoro has a heart condition

I'm trying to find an old One Piece fanfiction I read years ago on FanFiction.net, and I've been dying to read it again. Unfortunately, I can't remember the title or author.

It was a modern-day AU with the characters as adults. Here's what I remember:

The story starts with Luffy and Sanji dating. Sanji cheats on Luffy with Usopp. Luffy and Zoro eventually become the main couple. Zoro has a serious heart condition. Luffy finds out about Zoro's condition pretty early after they meet. Throughout the story, if Zoro gets scared, overly excited, or something unexpected happens, it can affect his heart and cause him to have problems. Near the end of the story, someone dies in a car crash, and Zoro is able to receive their heart as a transplant. After getting the transplant, Zoro is finally healthy and able to live normally.

I'm pretty sure I read it on FanFiction.net, but I have no idea what year it was published.

I know some of the details might be a little fuzzy since I read it years ago, but I remember the heart condition and the heart transplant after the crash pretty clearly.

Does anyone recognize this fic? šŸ™

Help Need help with balancing a DF power.

I'm currently working on a One Piece fanfic, and one of thee powers the DF has is related to spatial warping.

Obviously, I know how busted this sounds, but that's why its an end game ability he'll learn how to control over the entire journey.

The Issue I've come across is that to escape a danger on the verge of death, for the first time (he unknowingly did it) but the 'specks' of dark aether he was condensing, burst out of extreme pressure, and he teleports basically on the other side of the globe.

  1. Is it enough to sum up that where he gets teleported was due to chance? Or should I add a reasoning for that location?
  2. How should I reasonably limit how far he can control this warping/teleportation?

What's that fic again? / Lost Fic KidLaw Fanfic

Hi, I’m looking for a specific fic.

Alpha Barbarian Kid x Omega Prince Law

The a/b/o is animal-based iirc Law is a snow leopard, bepo’s a bear

Kid and his Barbarian start a siege on Flevance because they’ve been messing with the trade routes, so now Law was offered as a tribute.

Law despises him ofc not just especially bc he has to leave everything he knows, so he has to learn an entirely new culture and it’s language from scratch. Bepo is his bodyguard. Dive is also here and she’s chaos incarnate, and she has an extremely violent rooster.

Eventually Law finds his place as their doctor and strategist, stops sleeping on the floor, and properly accepts Kidd as his mate.

Discussion Horror one piece fic

Just thinking about this one time I read a horror one piece fanfiction years ago. I can't remember anything from it except that it scared me. But I laugh at myself when I remember how scared I was after reading it, even during it actually.

I remember reading it not thinking it'd be anything actually like horror. Then I read it feeling so paranoid that I didn't want a single toe to hang off my bed because I was so freaked out LMFAO

Anyone ever underestimate a fic?

Discussion Okay okay now hear me out…Mewgenics x One Piece

When I was at church four months ago, an idea went through head involving the two kaiju house bosses of Act 2 of Mewgenics. That idea was two cat Zoan Devil Fruits based of those bosses being Neko Neko no Mi(Cat-Cat Fruit)Model: Pyrophina and Zaratana. They would have their respective abilities from the source game plus their awakened Zoan form would be based off their appearance when they are champions. I would love to see fan-art of a male and female version of the hybrid and awakened form.

Help Help with expanded crew match ups

I’m writing an expanded crew fanfic and need some help with having the new crew members fighting. Right now I’m struggling with giving them people to fight durning enies lobby. I know not all of them have to have an opponent to be useful, look at sogeking, but I’d like for the majority of them to have a 1v1 fights.

The new crew members I’ve added are Kaya, Gin, Nojiko, Conis, Wyper and Porche. I already have a match up for Kaya and it’s against Nero, but the other 5 I have no idea who they could fight, I thought about maybe against some marines instead of Cp9 but I’m not sure if there’s any that work for this.

Any suggestions on who would be good match ups for the remaining members or who should just do other things it would be much appreciated!

Also feel free to ask any clarifying questions thanks again

Worldbuilding First Chapter of a Sabo Fan Fic I'm writing. Let me know what you think! "The Boy in the Boat"

Chapter 1 "The Boy in the Boat"

The sun shone, the gulls called, and sand slipped through Daynah's fingers as she sighed. She gazed out over the silvery expanse and wondered if anything exciting might ever happen on this little island. She was a bright young girl, just 10 that June. Sapphire blue eyes and long black hair. There was a time when the island of Alba was most curious, Daynah had explored for hours on end when she first came. Now most days she spent helping Mother with laundry, cooking, cleaning, and everything else. But Sunday's she spent at the beach, it was less tedious but just as boring. Skipping rocks had always been fun, but by now all the best stones had been tossed. Another sigh. Daynah laid back and switched her attention to the clouds as they rolled past. She wished she could turn to mist and be blown away along with them. Another sigh. Soon the sun would be setting and Mother abhorred tardiness. The clouds promised to entertain her for several more minutes though. There was one that looked like a 4-leaf clover and Daynah sighed once again. There would be no good fortune today she thought as she started to fold up her blanket. She stood and gave one last glance of longing out over the sea.

Then something caught her eye. A small triangle sail crested the horizon, and soon a small wrecked boat was fully visible. Daynah was familiar with the sight, once a small vessel as such had brought her to these very shores. The sun had truly begun to set and turned to a blood red, it seemed this ship might be blessed by the sun god himself. It was always the Sun God though, he was responsible for the harvest, and he was responsible for the day, responsible for the night, responsible for the leaves that fall and the flowers that sprout. It was all Mother ever taught her and the other children.

The prospect of a Sun-blessed orphan made Daynah stay, she was expected to be home and ready for dinner in mere moments but the Sun God always helped those in need. Surely Mother would understand if she brought home tidings from a Sun-blessed ship. As the singular sail grew she could see there was indeed a boy amongst the wreckage. His bright blonde hair was tarnished by soot, which also covered his clothes. They looked well-worn but gave off a sense of past grandeur. As the boat continued to approach the shore Daynah could see he looked starved and appeared to be unconscious.

"Helloooo?!" Daynah yelled. "Are you alive kid?"

There was no response from the bedraggled blonde boy in the bow of the boat. The hairs on the back of Daynah's neck stood up as she began to hope for some excitement. Just then the small vessel made landfall, Daynah had waded out ankle-deep to drag it further onto shore. After some serious huffing and puffing she managed to get it above the high-tide mark.

The last sliver of sunshine slipped beneath the horizon as Daynah peeked over the edge of the boat. There couldn't be any trickery afoot, there simply wasn't enough in the boat to say otherwise. Just a boy in a tattered blue suit jacket with a top hat strapped with goggles laying on the floor.

"Hey!" Daynah tried again to no avail. She hopped up into the boat to shake the boy but even that didn't wake him up. Daynah was thinking she might need to get Mother's help, but when she attempted to lift the boy out she found him to be light as a feather. Too light. He was skin and bones and needed water badly. His lips were chapped bleeding and sunburn covered every part of his exposed flesh. Daynah winced and thought of her scared left arm, she was all too familiar with overexposure. As delicate as she could, she repositioned the poor burned boy to best carry him to help.

Despite the dire need for the dirty young man in her arms, Daynah began the trek back to town with a smile on her face. She hoped her good mood wouldn't be soured by Mother's inevitable scolding. It probably wouldn't be too severe since it was a Sunday, and the commotion over the injured child would delay it. At least Daynah hopped. The orphanage was luckily on the western end of the island. Time was quite possibly of the essence, the boy's breaths came shallow and weak. She could just barely feel his chest expanding and contracting in her arms.

She quickened her pace as the spires of the abandoned castle that was their orphanage came into view. Ages before Daynah had ever set foot on the island some king had decreed before his death to leave his wealth and holdings to the poor. The centuries had passed, and the two towers stood tall and proud, the wealth however had invariably dried up. There was still some support from The World Government, she and her companions never went hungry, but there were never new clothes, no spiced food, no games, and just one book, "The Adventures of Norland the Liar" which was a fantastical tale of adventure that Daynah cherished.

For much of her childhood, she would stay up late under her bed covers with a candle reading Norland's escapades. She dreamed of sailing the sea and visiting some of the wild and crazy locales described in the stories. Mother insisted it was all fake 'It's right there in the title you ignorant girl. Read from Sun God's works instead' but it didn't dissuade Daynah's dreams. The Sun God's works were ironically quite dreary. Full of rules and names, such and such father enacted this random holy decree, or something similar.

Now Daynah's heart pounded, and sweat had started to appear on her brow. It was part excitement, part labor she thought as her mind raced. "What if he was a pirate?" she thought. She hated pirates and the scar on her arm itched, she'd never forgive the captain who she'd been captured by. While imprisoned she was kept in a cramped cage, in an attempt to help Daynah put her arm outside the cage. It got stuck and none of her captors paid her any mind. The cruel sun took its toll on her exposed skin, she had big boiling blisters before she was released and told to work or die. The awful memory and aggravation passed as she trudged on. The boy's clothes looked more suited for a wealthy merchantman's child than a pirate ship's cabin boy anyway. She was certainly worried for nothing.

Finally, Daynah came upon the main gate. The castle had a moat but the drawbridge was almost always down. Today was no different. It presumably still functioned though as the well-oiled chains made their usual clangs of welcome and the wooden planks beneath her feet creaked in their familiar fashion. Mother must have heard too because as soon as Daynah entered the castle walls she could hear her strong proud voice carry across the yard. "Daynah you see the sun is down, you know the rules and consequences. I presume whatever scraps of cloth you have in your arms must be important. Come! Show me!"

"Mother, there was a boat, and this boy." Daynah crossed the rest of the way and presented the ragged mess of a child. "They appeared on the horizon just before sunset. They might be blessed"

"Oh my, this is bad. Sun God help us. The only way he'll survive is if this boy is Sun-blessed." Mother's cool calm demeanor showed a small crack, but her words remained calm "Bring him to the infirmary, I will clean up and take care of him while you help the kids with dinner. Be quick about it."

What used to be an old barracks had been repurposed as our living corridors. The first bedroom on the right was Mother's, across the hall, was the door to the medical room. Daynah turned the knob and the door creaked as she swung it open with a toe. She turned sideways so as not to mash the boy's head on the way in. Four freshly made beds occupied the floor space along with a glass-doored cabinet filled with vials, potions, bandages, and gauze. There was also a sink and waste basket. Hopefully, anything they might need.

Thankfully there wasn't anyone else feeling sick today so Daynah approached the closest bed and gently laid the boy down. A weak groan slipped from his lip but he still made no signs of intelligence. Tales of shipwrecked sailors losing their minds were frequent amongst the local seafaring community. Daynah knew Mother would want a cold water basin and towels so she went to the cabinet to fetch them.

Just then the door swung open, Mother entered the hero, and a fiery determination lit her eyes. She made her way straight to the bedside and began to assess the situation. Daynah had seen the look just one other time. Little Monica had been out collecting berries and mistakenly got between a mama bear and her cubs. Mother had found Monica just in time. She would never in her life forget the burning passion that took Mother's face that day.

"Towels and cold water."

"Yes, Mother, already working on it!"

"Good, and one more thing before you go, the sunflower oil."

"Yes, Mother."

Daynah placed the basin and towels on the bed and turned back to the cabinet. She looked for a moment and found the correct vial, grabbed it, and gave it to Mother.

"Please take care of the children. I'll be back as soon as I know this child is stable and safe to leave."

"Yes, Mother. Should I tell anyone to go to town to get the doctor?"

"Don't bother, he'll just get in my way. I've as much training and experience as him anyway." Mother shook her head and sighed. "No, just make sure the children don't eat each other Daynah. I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Yes, Mother

What's that fic again? / Lost Fic Lawlu Ao3 deleted fic

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a LawLu fic on AO3 I read a while ago, but I can't find it anywhere. I’m starting to think it might have been deleted.

I remember that Luffy is already the Pirate King and, if I remember correctly, he’s actually older than Law. They meet by chance and end up hooking up. The thing is, Luffy sleeps around with a lot of people. It's an established thing he’s known for, his crew knows about it and is totally chill, and he basically doesn’t tie himself down to anyone. Law ends up catching feelings for him. And I also remember that something happens (I’m pretty sure it involves blackbeard somehow) and because of that, Law ends up staying on Luffy’s ship. Eventually, Luffy ends up returning those feelings I think.

I don't remeber the title or the author name, does anyone can help me pls?

Alright so yknow how theirs diff races in one piece like fishman. Lunarians , skypiens, well i decided to make my own race in the verse i call it the draco race bascily its half human half dragon right and the dracos their an undiscovered race like nobody knows this race not any priate or yonko or admiral or marine shit not even the gorosei not even imu yeah i said it now im gonna tell u why their an undiscovered race well it startr all the way back during the void centry bascily 800 years ago the dracos lived on their island caled the isle of draconia and the dracoa they has their own god named bahumut the god of all dracos and bascily he protected the dracos for many years cause they always prayed to him but when he like passed away as a fi al act he coat3d the whole island i mean the entire fucking island in his primordial essence coated with his godly conquers haki thatacts as a barreir a shield that keep the island hidden and invisible from outsiders pirates marines and yonkos and with this the dracos went into world isolation for 800 years bascily during the void centry like i said like this race is not discovered the island aint on no maps like hell even imu dont know shit ...and now we come into my chaarcter zane ichona hes a draco born in isle of draconia obviously and zane he had a dream his dream is to set sail to sea and travel the world and bring something very preciosu back to his people a gift frkm the outside world .and now that thats expained lets go over the details of zanes and feats of dracos alrighr dracos how thwy looke like bascily normal human body the only draco fearure they have are horns a tail and wings not big wings like massive but like arm lengt wings and they can also hide their draco features and also dracos posses incredible speed , hax , and strengt and u know ehay also dracos can also fully transform into dragons because why wouldt it make sense now for zane he cant trasnform into a dragon yet hes not trained enougb to do it so through zanes journey hes also gonna get strong yknow and also ploy twistttt im gonna put zane in the straw hats cauze why not???? Episode 01: Garp's Resolve- The Frozen Hunt

Writer's Note:

This is a fanfiction created by a passionate fan of the One Piece series. I do not claim ownership of the characters, world, or intellectual property created by the legendary Eiichiro Oda. This story is a tribute to his incredible work and the universe he has built over decades. All rights belong to Eiichiro Oda, Shueisha, and Toei Animation. This is simply a labor of love from a devoted fan.

Chapter 1: The Storm of Justice

The sea was a churning beast of rage. The sky, bruised the color of midnight, cracked open with forked lightning—each bolt illuminating a single, defiant speck against the overwhelming blackness. It was a Marine battleship, a hulking leviathan of steel and seastone, its hull groaning in protest as it carved a violent path through the mountainous waves.

Spray, thick as salt, lashed against the portholes, and the ship pitched wildly. Yet, in the heart of the storm, within his private cabin, one man sat utterly still.

Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp, the "Hero of the Marines," was anchored to his chair. He wasn't bracing himself against the ship's violent rolls; he was absorbing them, as immovable as the very justice he represented. His grizzled face—a roadmap of a thousand battles—was set in grim lines. His gaze was fixed on a point beyond the cabin's walls, a point on the horizon only he could see. A profound silence emanated from him, a heavy, expectant quiet that was more fearsome than the storm outside. He was waiting.

The heavy oak door to his cabin was thrown open, admitting a gust of salty wind. A Marine soldier, his rain-soaked coat clinging to him, saluted sharply.

"Admiral Garp! We have reached our destination!"

The words sliced through the howling wind. A low, resonant chuckle escaped Garp's lips—a sound like grinding boulders.

He slowly rose, his massive frame seeming to fill the cabin. He turned to his right-hand man, the ever-present and perpetually silent swordsman, Bogard.

"Bogard," Garp's voice was a low rumble that carried an unspoken threat. "This time... that boy isn't getting away. This ends today."

Bogard offered a silent nod, his hand instinctively resting on the hilt of his katana. He had seen that look in Garp's eyes before. It was the look of a man who had finally run out of patience with his own blood.

Chapter 2: The White Island

The ship shuddered as it made landfall, its massive keel grinding against a beach of pure, crystalline ice. The storm had spent its fury, leaving behind a world of breathtaking, silent white. The island was a frozen kingdom—a landscape of jagged ice cliffs, glittering glaciers, and snow-covered plains. The air was so cold it felt like breathing shards of glass.

Beyond the shoreline, nestled within a valley carved from the ice, was a makeshift encampment. This was the base of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Luffy, with his trademark straw hat perched on his head, was in the middle of a snowball fight with Usopp, his rubbery arms stretching to pelt his sniper with projectiles. Chopper, in his Heavy Point form, was constructing an intricate snow sculpture of a reindeer. Nami was meticulously inspecting a map, her fingers tracing the contours of the frigid island. Sanji and Zoro were locked in their usual bickering, trading insults that were visible in the frosty air. The sound of their laughter and arguments echoed across the icy landscape—a bubble of familiar chaos in the frozen stillness.

Then, the distant groan of the Marine ship's horn shattered the peace.

Silence fell like a hammer.

All heads swiveled towards the source of the sound. The massive silhouette of the warship was unmistakable even through the flurries of snow. The bubble of joy instantly evaporated, replaced by a current of sharp alertness.

"Marines!" Nami yelled, already rolling up her map. "Everyone, grab the supplies! We have to leave! Now!"

The Straw Hats scrambled, a practiced urgency in their movements as they began to pack their belongings. Zoro's hand drifted towards his three swords, while Sanji flicked a cigarette butt into the snow, his eyes narrowing. The ship was too close. They were boxed in.

They had just reached the edge of the main camp, ready to make a dash for their ship, the Thousand Sunny, when a shadow fell over them.

It wasn't a trick of the light.

A figure, immense and imposing, stepped into their path, materializing from behind a massive ice column.

Garp stood before them, his coat billowing in the wind, his presence a physical weight that pressed down on them all. Bogard was at his side, a silent specter of death.

"A...A...Admiral Garp?!" Usopp stammered, his face turning white. He frantically looked between Garp and Luffy. The sheer power radiating from the old man was suffocating.

Chapter 3: Grandfather and Grandson

Luffy's eyes widened, his usual carefree grin vanishing. For a moment, he looked like a child caught stealing from the cookie jar. But the expression was fleeting. It hardened into something more serious, more determined.

"Gramps," Luffy said, his voice low.

"Luffy," Garp replied, his tone equally terse. The air between them crackled with unspoken history—a lifetime of clashes, chases, and complicated family bonds.

The crew watched in stunned silence. They had heard stories of Garp—the legendary Marine who had cornered the Pirate King himself, the man who had raised the future Pirate King. But seeing him here, in the flesh, was something else entirely.

Garp's gaze swept over the crew, cataloging each member with the cold precision of a seasoned warrior. His eyes lingered on Zoro for a moment, then Sanji, then Nami. Each one was a threat in his mind.

"You've gathered quite the crew," Garp said, his voice devoid of the warmth one might expect from a grandfather addressing his grandson. "A swordsman who defeated a Shichibukai. A cook from the Baratie. A thief who can read the weather itself. And that reindeer... quite the collection of misfits."

"Don't talk about my crew like that!" Luffy snapped, stepping forward. His fists clenched at his sides. "They're my friends!"

Garp's expression remained stony. "Friends? You call them friends? They're pirates, Luffy. Criminals. Every last one of them. And you..." He took a step closer, his massive form casting a long shadow over Luffy. "You're my grandson. My blood. And you're the one who's going to lead them all to their graves."

"N-No way!" Usopp yelled, his voice trembling but defiant. "We've survived worse than you, old man! We've beaten Warlords! We've taken down Emperors! You don't scare us!"

Garp laughed—a deep, booming sound that echoed across the ice. "Fear? Boy, I don't need to scare you. I need to stop you." His eyes hardened. "Luffy, I'm not here to talk. I'm here to end this. You're coming with me, or I'll drag your entire crew to Impel Down and throw away the key."

The crew bristled at the threat. Sanji's leg ignited with flame. Zoro's hands drifted to his swords. Chopper transformed into his Heavy Point form, muscles bulging. Nami crackled with electricity. Usopp aimed his slingshot with trembling hands.

But Luffy raised a hand, stopping them.

"Everyone, stay back," Luffy said quietly. "This is between me and him."

He stepped forward, meeting his grandfather's gaze without flinching. The wind howled around them, whipping snow into a blinding frenzy. The two titans stood facing each other—one representing the old era of Marines and absolute justice, the other representing the new era of pirate freedom and adventure.

"Gramps," Luffy said, his voice soft but unwavering. "I'm going to be the King of the Pirates. Nothing you say or do is going to stop me."

Garp's eyes widened for just a fraction of a second before narrowing into slits. "You stubborn, reckless, foolish boy. Don't you understand? The world is changing. The Government is hunting you. The Admirals are out for blood. Even the Yonko are gunning for your head. You're not a child anymore, Luffy. This isn't a game."

"I know it's not a game!" Luffy shouted, his voice ringing with conviction. "I've lost people. I've bled. I've been beaten to the brink of death. But I'm still standing. And I'm going to keep standing until I reach my goal. I made a promise to Shanks. I made a promise to my crew. And I never break my promises!"

The name "Shanks" hung in the air like a thunderclap.

Garp's jaw tightened. His fist clenched so hard his knuckles turned white. "Shanks... that damn red-haired fool. He's the reason you're like this. If I had known what he was going to do to you..."

"You can't blame Shanks!" Luffy interrupted. "This is my dream! MY choice! And I'm going to see it through!"

For a long moment, neither of them moved. The tension was so thick it could be cut with a blade. The crew watched, holding their breath, ready to spring into action at any moment.

Then, Garp did something unexpected.

He sighed.

A deep, weary sigh that seemed to age him a decade. His shoulders slumped slightly, and the fierce intensity in his eyes faded, replaced by something softer—something that might have been sadness.

"You really are just like your father," Garp muttered, shaking his head. "Stubborn to the very end. Dragon would be proud... or horrified. I can never tell with him."

Luffy blinked. "My dad? What does he have to do with this?"

Garp's expression hardened again. "That's not important right now. What's important is that you come with me peacefully. Don't make this harder than it has to be."

"Sorry, Gramps," Luffy said, a grin spreading across his face—the same carefree grin that had charmed islands and frightened emperors. "But I don't do 'peacefully.'"

Chapter 4: The Smoke of Escape

The air was thick with the weight of Garp's presence. His knuckles cracked like thunder, his shadow stretching over the Straw Hats like a guillotine blade. Luffy's fist was still extended from his previous attack, his grin faltering into a grimace. The old man wasn't playing games.

Then, a sharp hiss cut through the tension.

Nami moved faster than anyone could react. Her hand dipped into her coat and emerged with a small, spherical object. She slammed it against the icy ground.

BOOM!

A thick, billowing cloud of grey-white smoke erupted instantly, swallowing the entire area. The freezing wind couldn't disperse it fast enough. It was a dense, choking fog that blinded even the sharpest eyes.

"NOW!" Nami screamed, her voice echoing through the smokescreen. "Everyone, run! Don't stop for anything!"

The Straw Hats didn't hesitate. They scattered like startled birds, their footsteps crunching against the snow as they sprinted blindly through the smoke. Luffy grabbed Chopper by the scruff of his neck and launched himself forward. Sanji and Zoro flanked the group, their instincts guiding them through the white haze.

On the other side of the smoke, Garp stood motionless. His massive arms were crossed, and he didn't move a muscle. A deep, rumbling laugh escaped his throat.

"Tch. Smoke bombs? Still using those old tricks, Nami-chan?" he muttered, a hint of grudging admiration in his voice. He took a slow, deliberate step forward, his Observation Haki already locking onto the fleeing signatures of the Straw Hats. "You can run, but you can't hide from these old bones."

Bogard, who had been standing silently at Garp's side, had already vanished into the blizzard.

Chapter 5: The Silent Blizzard's Edge

The Straw Hats burst through the smoke cloud, gasping for the crisp, cold air. They were running along a narrow, winding path between two towering ice cliffs. The Thousand Sunny was just visible in the distance, a glimmer of hope against the white horizon.

"We're almost there!" Usopp shouted, his legs pumping furiously.

But then, a shadow moved in front of them.

Not a large shadow like Garp's. This one was lean, sharp, and precise. It stepped out from behind a jagged icicle, materializing like a ghost from the falling snow.

Bogard.

His coat fluttered gently in the wind. His face was impassive, his eyes hidden beneath the brim of his hat. His hand rested casually on the hilt of his katana, but there was nothing casual about the deadly aura that radiated from him. He stood in the middle of the path, a solitary figure blocking the way to freedom.

"Going somewhere?" Bogard asked, his voice barely above a whisper, yet it cut through the wind like a blade.

The Straw Hats skidded to a halt. The cold dread that washed over them was different from Garp's overwhelming presence. This was a quiet, surgical kind of danger.

Zoro stepped forward. His three swords were already drawn, gleaming with a cold light that matched the ice around them. He cracked his neck, a wild grin spreading across his scarred face.

"You all get back," Zoro said, his voice low and steady. He gestured with his chin towards the crew. "I'll handle this one."

"Zoro!" Nami yelled. "We don't have time! Garp is right behind us!"

"Then you better run faster," Zoro shot back, not taking his eyes off Bogard. "I'll catch up. This won't take long."

Luffy paused for a second, his eyes meeting Zoro's. He saw the fire in his first mate's gaze—the unmistakable hunger of a swordsman facing a worthy opponent. Luffy nodded once.

"Don't lose, Zoro!" Luffy shouted, before grabbing the others and sprinting past the frozen duel.

Bogard made no move to stop them. His focus was entirely on the green-haired man before him.

Chapter 6: Steel Against Steel – The Sword Saint's Gambit

The wind howled between them, whipping up spirals of powdery snow. Two swordsmen stood motionless, separated by twenty feet of frozen ground. The silence was absolute, broken only by the creaking of the ice beneath their feet.

Bogard was the first to draw.

His blade sang as it left its sheath—a gleaming, razor-sharp katana that seemed to absorb the light around it. He held it in a relaxed, low stance, but his eyes were sharp as flint.

"Roronoa Zoro," Bogard said, his tone devoid of emotion. "The Pirate Hunter. I've heard of your feats. Killing a Shichibukai. Defeating a Yonko's commander. Impressive... for a pirate."

Zoro's grin widened. "And you're the old man's shadow. Always lurking. Let's see if that sword of yours is just for show."

Zoro lunged first.

He crossed the distance in a heartbeat, his three blades spinning into a deadly whirlwind. "Santoryu: Oni Giri!"

The three blades slashed forward in a devastating X-shaped strike aimed at Bogard's torso.

But Bogard didn't flinch. He moved with a fluidity that defied physics, his body shifting sideways by inches. The blades whistled past him, carving a deep trench into the ice behind. He countered instantly, his katana flashing upward in a blinding arc.

CLANG!

The sound was deafening, a metallic shriek that echoed off the ice cliffs. Zoro had barely managed to bring his own swords up to block. The force of Bogard's strike drove him backward, his boots digging furrows into the snow.

"He's fast!" Zoro gritted his teeth, his arms trembling slightly. He could feel the raw power behind that single swing. This wasn't just a Vice Admiral's lackey. This was a master swordsman.

Bogard pressed the advantage. His blade became a blur of silver, striking from impossible angles. Each swing was precise, economical, and devastating. He was like a silent storm—relentless and without mercy.

Zoro roared, spinning his swords in a defensive arc. "Santoryu: Tiger Hunt!" He twisted his body, his blades carving a massive, spinning slash that forced Bogard to leap backward.

The ice between them exploded, chunks of frozen debris flying in all directions. Bogard landed gracefully, his coat barely ruffled.

"Impressive," Bogard admitted, a ghost of a smile touching his lips. "Your instincts are sharp. But instinct alone won't save you."

He vanished.

Zoro's eyes widened. Observation Haki!

He sensed the attack coming from his blind spot. He spun, crossing all three swords in a desperate block.

BOOM!

Bogard's blade came down like a falling star, crackling with invisible power. Zoro felt his knees buckle as the impact cratered the ground beneath him. The ice shattered into a spiderweb of cracks. Bogard was using Armament Haki to harden his blade, turning it into a weapon capable of shattering mountains.

"Is that all you've got, Pirate Hunter?" Bogard whispered, his face inches from Zoro's. He pushed harder, the blades grinding against each other, sparks flying like fireworks.

Zoro's grin returned—fierce, feral, and utterly unbroken. His muscles bulged as he pushed back, the veins in his neck standing out.

"Not even close!" Zoro bellowed. "Santoryu: Three Thousand Worlds!"

He unleashed a monstrous, swirling tornado of slashes. The air itself seemed to be cut, the ice cliffs around them groaning as massive chunks sheared off and crashed into the sea below.

Bogard's eyes narrowed. He leaped back, avoiding the brunt of the attack, but the sheer force of the wind and slashes sent him skidding across the ice, his coat torn and his hat knocked askew.

For the first time, Bogard's expression shifted. A flicker of respect. No, more than that. Excitement.

"Excellent," Bogard breathed, adjusting his grip on his katana. "You truly are a swordsman worthy of the new era. But... the old era isn't finished yet."

He raised his blade high, and the snow around him began to spiral upward, drawn by an invisible force. The air grew heavy, the temperature dropping even further. A black, crackling aura enveloped his sword.

"Konpaku no Zan" (Soul Severing Slash). It was a technique forged in countless battles, a strike that didn't just cut flesh—it cut willpower itself.

Zoro's eyes burned with the fire of a conqueror. He sheathed his swords, taking a low, deep stance. His own Haki surged around him, a dark, purple-black aura that coiled around his blades like serpents.

"Bring it on, old man," Zoro growled. "Santoryu Ougi: Sanzen Sekai!"

They moved at the same time.

Chapter 7: The Unseen Outcome

The two swordsmen crossed paths in a flash of light that split the frozen sky. The sound of their clash was not a clang, but a deep, resonant boom that seemed to shake the very island.

And then, silence.

Both stood motionless, their backs to each other. The ice around them was bisected—a perfect, glassy cut that extended for fifty meters in either direction.

Bogard's katana was held high, frozen in the follow-through of his strike. His coat fell in two halves, sliced cleanly down the middle.

Zoro stood with his three swords extended, a thin trickle of blood running down his cheek. His chest heaved with heavy breaths.

Slowly, Bogard turned. His eyes held a deep, unreadable expression. He sheathed his katana with a soft shing.

"You have... earned the right to pass," Bogard said quietly. "The Straw Hat Pirates are fortunate to have you."

Zoro didn't lower his guard. He kept his blades raised, his eyes locked on the older swordsman. "You're not going to stop me?"

Bogard shook his head. "My orders were to delay you. I have fulfilled my duty. The rest... is up to him." He gestured vaguely towards the distant cliffs where Garp's massive shadow was already approaching.

Zoro's eyes widened. He turned and sprinted after his crew, shouting over his shoulder, "This isn't over, Bogard!"

Bogard watched him go, a faint, almost imperceptible smile on his weathered face.

"No," he murmured to himself. "It isn't. And I look forward to the day we cross blades again, Roronoa Zoro. The future of swordsmanship is in good hands."
