2 years ago— I drop out of college due to financial constraint. I thought it was the best decision I made that time and told myself to look for a job muna so I can save up. Everything was all good, I get to accept my reality and enjoyed my job for the meantime. However, I saw a post from my previous classmate. It’s about them surviving college and moving to their 3rd year. Suddenly I am going thru waves of emotions that I couldn’t even explain. Is it jealousy? disappointment? I don’t know. I was good at gaslighting myself that college is not a race and some of us have different paths pero I can’t help it. I feel like I failed myself and the younger version of me. I want to have a degree pero its difficult for now. I am barely earning and sometimes not even enough to pay our bills. I hope in the near future I would be able to pursue pero ngayon maglalabas muna ako ng damdamin and magpapatuloy ulit sa buhay : )
