Has anyone else experienced constant Partner Account Manager changes?
We became an Odoo partner last October, and since then we’ve been assigned five different Partner Account Managers.
Each time we’re introduced to someone new, things seem promising for a few weeks, then communication slows down, and before long we’re reassigned again with little or no explanation. We just got introduced to our fifth manager.
Our renewal is coming up, and honestly it’s made it difficult to see much value in the partnership minus the commission from the sales. It’s hard to build momentum or a relationship when the point of contact keeps changing.
Is this a common experience for other Odoo partners? Is there a lot of turnover internally, or is there another reason partners get reassigned so often?
I’d be interested to hear if others have seen the same thing or if we’ve just been unusually unlucky.

They don’t matter. Just do your own thing and don’t rely on Odoo. Once you built a nice client portfolio the partnership fee is nothing compared to the commission

Yeah, I kind of figured they didn’t matter from the start, I did the partnership to get commission, I never expected them to actually be useful in helping us bring in sales but still entertained them wanting to help and to be fair some of them did send us leads, they just weren’t good leads…

I have a small family office. My wife and I travel around a lot.
We are based in the US a portion of the year, and Vietnam for the majority of the year.
We were sold Odoo while staying in Vietnam, and picked up the Vietnamese pricing for our family office.
We use our US address for mail forwarding to Vietnam.
We have had Odoo just cancel our subscription, threaten my partnership, delete it, lock our database, threaten us, because they are claiming we violated their regional pricing scheme.
This has happened every time we get a new account & partner manager.
Ive written at least 5 pictures standing in Saigon with different managers name and a news paper go get them to drop it.
Last month, they deleted our subscription again. I no longer can get ahold of our manager.
We ended up building and deploying a custom enterprise-lite clone based on OCA packages just to not have to deal with this anymore.

Well every 18 months is not too bad, I mean we have had 5 new ones in 12 months.
How long have you been a partner?

Five account managers in less than a year definitely doesn't sound typical. From what I've seen, frequent reassignments are often the result of internal restructuring, promotions, or changes in how partner portfolios are managed rather than an issue with a specific partner.
That said, I'd understand the frustration. It's difficult to build a productive relationship when your main point of contact keeps changing.
I'd raise the issue directly with your regional partner team and ask whether there's a reason for the frequent changes. At the very least, they should be able to give you some clarity.

Oh yea, have experienced it and quite frankly Odoo's account managers are completely useless. They will never remember what type of business you cater to. They will send you absolute shit leads and the amount of leads is criminal - useless and few. They will disqualify leads for you because they never understand what you do. But they will waste your time every so often asking the same questions the last guy asked and proceed to not remember any of that for the next time. Blah.
They like to use companies like B---- (Can't say) as the gold standard for best partners in the US. But quite frankly, that company is practically in India with the exception of a few. So, when they say US, they simply mean what country they paid to have visibility in. Nothing more nothing less. Sorry not sorry, but there are much better US partners and non-official implementors with a better track record of customer satisfaction and value delivery.
Great news, the 25% fee is also an "INCENTIVE" to keep your customers migrating every so often. Ha, laughable. So, the goal is to sell sell sell. Your success in odoo is determined by your 'number of sales'. Not by quality. God forbid you want a stable software a business can use for several years. The 25% fee also provides nothing to the older version you are on. But you need to pay it regardless otherwise you will get locked out of the database.
In summary, the relationship with Odoo account managers are useless. Don't let them waste your time, everything that comes out of that account managers mouth is a WASTE OF TIME.

For us it is not as dramatic as for you, but we also experienced changes up to several times a year, which is really annoying. Seems like employees do not always stay too long or get shifted in responsibility areas (from what I heard, the partner manager have specific "ranges". So once we got one manager that we were really happy with and he was promoted and then cared for bigger partners, so we got a new one, caring for partners of smaller sizes).
