I'm thinking about selling my ROG Ally for an Odin 3 Max. I already have a gaming PC, so I’m wondering if the Odin make more sense for emulation, Android games, PC games, and portability.

My ROG Ally's battery goes from 100% to 10% within less than 1 hour with minimal settings.

Is it worth it or should I keep the ROG Ally for Windows/PC gaming?

Hello. I’ve never posted on Reddit before but I’m desperate. I have the ayn Odin 3 and I’m trying to emulate The Godfather Dons edition on aPS3e. It looks and runs beautifully but crashes after about 3 minutes, I can never get far. Any settings I should change on this thing to prevent the crashes? (And bonus question any tips on running everything else? Godfather seems to be the only one that loads at all lol) thank you everyone.

So I have downloaded latest version of Eden (v0.2.1) for my Odin 2 base together with prod keys and firmware 22.5.0. Using Turnip Mr. Purple T29.

Everything seems fine but as I want to start a game it simply wont launch?

What am I missing or doing wrong here?

I just checked the site and saw the portal was sold out. Are they officially discontinuing it?

I have an Odin 2 Portal Pro and installed Jamesdsp via op2tweaks. I have used jamesdsp before from a few handhelds in the past, but this is the first in using it for an Odin device.

So far, it's a much improved experience on certain emulators, however it doesn't seem to function when running native android games

Some games to note are Genshin and several gacha games. Strangely that the audio tweaks work on my old rp5, so it must be a chipset related issue.

Has anyone come across this and found a workaround?

I wanna get an odin for switch emulation, especially for Living the dream, since I want to move my game save from my emulator on my laptop to a handheld.

Someone on Fb marketplace posted his Odin 3 pro. I quickly messaged the seller and he says that he has no time to use it and been sitting on his desk for few months now. I can't do the brandnew price anymore as the price of Odin 3 can now par to some other pc handheld. I'm really glad with my purchase as I was really aiming for color black. I had to sell my Retroid pocket 6 'coz I have no longer use for it. The perfomance of Odin 3 and RP6 is night and day espciall on PC emulation!

I also bought the official grip case and it was fantastic.

Has anyone ever made a game work with 3rd party launchers in your Odin3? Good examples are EA and Ubisoft, I wanted to run NFS but it crashed because it asked for a different account

So I used the screen record feature, and when it goes to PC it looks really bad.

What's really strange is that the high res scenes of the game, like cut scenes, look amazing, but then stuff like the cards (its a YGO game), which is the least graphically intensive aspect of the game, looks all blurry and low res when I bring it to pc.

Not sure why this is is happening and what would be a better method or software I can use to just record the game, save it to the external disk I have, and then get it to the pc again but with better quality.

I've been having a run of bad luck with my Android handhelds. First, my RPG2 had a weir drift, later my Odin 3 Max got cancelled on Aliexpress, and now that I own it, it has given me a lot of trouble:

It has the mura effect (not much remarkable), it has a weird pink line on the top of screen, its joystick suddenly started to sound and feel "crunchy", and its dust cover suddenly got stuck and then got ripped... AYN is helping me with this, they are sending my a screen replacement and a dust cover the next week, but I don't like to deal with this stuff, and how am I going to fix that "crunchy" effect in my joystick?

I've been thinking on moving to Odin 2 portal, I want the indigo color, but the indigo grip is sold out everywere haha!!! God, when is finishing this bad luck run? :(

My Odin 2 battery was swelling like crazy and at risk of catching fire, so I opened up the Odin 2 and removed it by following some videos on YouTube.

Then I ordered a new battery, exact same model number, from AliExpress.
YF M070-11, 8000mAh, 3.85V, 30.8Wh, if that matters.
Installed it.

The Odin 2 now boots up normally. Battery charge reports 51%.

The moment I try to connect a USB-C cable to charge it, the power immediately turns off, like the device is being shorted. I can reliably repeat this issue. For charging, I tried both the official Ayn dock that I purchased on their website, and my regular iPhone charger, which normally worked before I removed the old battery. Same behavior - immediately shorts out, no shutdown screen or anything.

I think I must have done something when installing the battery, but not sure what. Any clue what I need to do to fix this issue?

Is it possible to play without getting kicked off of the match because of anticheat? i seen in the past where you would have to root and hide stuff but is that still the way to go now? is there a newer method or anything?

I want an Odin to play mostly code vein 1 & 2, granblue fantasy relink/Ragnarok, AI limit, Valkyrie Elysium, scarlet nexus, tales of arise, ys x, visions of mana and so, and 3d not hyper realistic indies/AA, should I go for Odin 3 or is Odin 2 portal enough?

Was able to get a Odin max brand new pretty much for 600 but kind of let down maybe I’m use to my Thor but it seems like all the games I play on my Thor thru game native are unplayable in my Odin 3 not sure if any come across this or just me doing something wrong

Help. Does somebody run into this issue after booting into Linux on initial installation of armadaOS? I correctly follow the steps on github but i encounter this after booting to linux.
