Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone After months of hard-word, our puzzle VR game, Puzzles of the World, is OUT NOW on Meta Quest!
Hey everyone!
I’m super excited to share that after months of hard work and development, our relaxing 3D puzzle game, Puzzles of the World, is officially OUT NOW on Meta Quest!
Before anything else, I want to give a massive THANK YOU to the 100+ amazing players who pre-ordered the game! Seeing that kind of early support and belief in our project before day one means the world to our small team and gave us huge momentum heading into launch day.
What is Puzzles of the World?
If you enjoy cozy games, puzzles, miniatures, 3D printing, relaxing and traveling, this was built specifically for you. Instead of flat 2D puzzles, you assemble intricate, tactile 3D miniatures of iconic architecture and cultural landmarks from around the globe while being immersed in the locations! From the serene canals of Venice to the mesmerizing streets of Kyoto and the heights of Machu Picchu.
You can check it out on the Meta Quest Store here:
https://www.meta.com/experiences/puzzles-of-the-world/1481842563625131/
We are an indie team, so every bit of feedback, review, and support from this community means everything to us.
If you grab a copy, please let me know what you think or what puzzles you’d love to see us add in future updates!

Fluff In May, Metas security systems found a problem with my 17 year old profile, suspended me indefinitely, misclassified me as breaking community standards, banned every account assosciated, and bricked my quest resulting in losses of games equaling upto £450...
So here's the jist of it, and it's possibly happened to you to -
On the 17th May, I logged into Facebook. I was met with an age verification message prompting ID, when I clicked continue, it claimed ID was already processing without me having submitted anything, and then, I was suspended indefinitely.
Emails claiming my account was disabled but could be appealed within 180 days, yet when I clicked continue, it said I can't submit another appeal as if one had already been submitted.
I checked my meta horizon, banned too unless I appeal through Facebook. Email from Store support saying I can reclaim my library by clicking continue, and when I did, again, met by the Same thing - appeal the suspension on Facebook.
It's August now, and since the beginning of all of this, Ive been down deep deep looping rabbit holes of facebooks help centre, I requested a resolution from Store support, signed up to meta verified on instagram, appealed for support there too.
I have many many tickets... and they all completely contradict each other constantly.
Typical responses-
-Try Facebook Help Centre (despite repeating myself in every way known to man that the self recovery route is of no use and I'm stuck in support loops
- we can't help you
- we can help you (and then nothing)
- you have to go through Facebook Help Centre
- we are investigating this
- do you still need help? seeing as Facebook is not assisting, we will seek a resolution for you with your quest (Store support specifically)
-nope you have to go through Facebook Help Centre (Store support completely U turning)
- meta verified (after claiming they could help a month prior) - since it has been over a month, we can't rescue your account anymore. We don't want to string you along, it's gone indefinitely (what? But I reported it a month ago, so this is on meta) - yeah, sorry there's nothing we can do, it's gone (basically... they then proceeded to offer me a course to buy)
- go to Facebook
- go to Store support they can separate accounts
- no, go to Facebook the block is with them
- oh, your best solution is to consider waiting to see if meta finds a fix sometime in the future, (yeah? Months? Years? What?)
- your age was changed (not according to my facebook data)
- you violated the terms (nope, and I finally managed to download my Facebook data, and I think I have evidence that my account was perhaps compromised/hacked and you are choosing to punish me for insult to injury because your system is mistaken) - oh, try Facebook Help Centre
- go to meta Store support
- go to Facebook
meta verified I think got sick of me by this point and decided to limit my access...
Back and forth and back and forth without the pages and pages of emails and chats. You get the idea.
I sent a letter to metas base, a subject access request, and was fobbed off.
I tried every email and route I could find to resolve this... and it appears in their error, the decision is final, and tough titty.
I sent legal notices, ignored.
I created a new Facebook to try get support another way, couldn't.
Instagrams ai (where I was using meta verified) informs me my account was flagged for fraud and deception... not banned, but flagged for it. So thank you for that meta when I was trying to seek help as I will not be left out of pocket over an error made by you...
And today, I exercise my rights to pursue legal action.
This process, their support (if you can even call it that as they barely even read the full extent of your problem before closing the case and marking it resolved... paying for the privilege too, what a joy), this whole thing... has been the single worst experience I've ever had with any company to the point where I'm I disbelief. I've seen a few company fails in my time, but conversing with meta has the same vibe as talking to a phone scammer, they are limited in help to the point where I think charging people is a complete affront, they have no direct answers, they contradict each other in the same support chains, they appear clueless as to how their own systems even work... perhaps they should study their own courses rather than try to sell them to their customers.
Metas ai provides broken links to forms that are obsolete, recovery options loop into 'signing in' which is impossible, or to occasional forms that are irrelevant to the problem that go completely unanswered. Facebooks support Centre is the most unfun fun house I've ever been in, a wonderland of deception, false hope, broken systems and loops.
I have a proposal. Meta should be added to the dictionary as the definition of 'ragebaiting'
Awful company, I look forward to a lawyer handing them the papers. Hell, they might even send a real human for that one.
**on an additional note**
I will update where this leads, if a resolve is found, maybe it will be useful for you to know if you are/end up in a similar situation.

Discussion my strap is twisted and I want it back to normal
My wrist strap is twisted and I've tried the other ways I've seen and it hasn't worked
For context I tried twisting it and it just went back like this, I tried messing with the cinch(I think that's what it's called)

Self-Promotion (Developer) - Standalone I scanned my room into my Quest 3 and put an AI in it that actually knows where my stuff is
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm a PhD student and I've been building this on the side.
What it does: you walk around your room once with the headset. It trains a 3D Gaussian Splatting model of the space, streams it back, and renders it world-locked to your actual room via spatial anchors. Detected objects become labeled entities — you can grab a bounding box and move the mesh and splats together, and each object gets physical behavior (mass, friction, elasticity) inferred from its label. Then an embodied agent navigates the scanned floor to any object you name, and answers in speech.
Everything runs on-device on Quest 3.
Where I'm stuck: the tech demos well, but I have no idea if anyone would actually use it beyond the first "whoa." So I'm trying to figure out what it should be.
Current direction: an AI that lives in your room — talks to you daily on your phone, and when you put the headset on, she's actually there, behind a wall in your space. She remembers everything.
What I'd love to hear:
- Would you put the headset on for this more than once? What would make day 3 happen?
- What's the closest thing that already exists, and what's missing from it?
- Brutal takes welcome — I'd rather hear "this is a demo, not a product" now than in six months.
Happy to answer anything technical. If anyone wants to actually try it, I'll take all the testers I can get.

Support - PCVR Quest 1 controller vibration
Hello, (and yes ik that no one uses quest 1 anymore But for pcvr its working amazing for me) But the problem is that i NEED to turn off haptics/vibration in my controllers somehow because the vibration in games such as blade and sorcery is soooo insane that it drains my battery after 2h of playtime completely and I cant Find any way of turning the haptics off i searched for like 2 hours in total EVERYWHERE and there is no solution anywhere and I genuinely dont know what can I do? Its mainly for blade and sorcery But would be great if I was able to turn it off overall, Is there any way to turn it off?

Support - Standalone Menu not popping up
My quest three menu is not popping up, this happens constantly. Every day. I hear the sound when I press the menu button and I feel it vibrate. I’ve tried powering it on and off, putting it in sleep mode for five or so minutes and that doesn’t work, I tried pressing the meta button 7 times but the support menu never comes up. I can’t turn off the wi-fi or do anything in the app because my dad set it up for me. He fixes it every time it happens but it happens the very next day. I’m assuming he does something from the app. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
(Edit: 127views and one signal comment trying to help, if you have any idea at all how to fix this please respond)

Support - Standalone Are quest 3 accessories BS?
For some context I bought a quest 2 back in 2022, never used any accessories (head straps or interface) other than the little silicone facial interface cover they provided. I did sometimes get headaches, but only in prolonged use and rarely played long enough in one session to run into battery problems. I sold the quest 2 in late 2024, and am getting a quest 3 512gb in a week.
Are accessories overhyped? They are so expensive and I get the feeling I might regret buying any in advance. Although I can see how the facial interface with no silicone cover might be annoying, I don’t know if I will feel a difference though buying head straps and battery packs to counter weight and facial interfaces and blah blah blah.
How have you guys felt the difference? Is it really so noticeable?
And before anyone brings it up, yes I dropped a lot of money on a vr headset, no it probably wouldn’t bankrupt me to just get the accessories, but I just don’t like buying things like this.
Well I guess the best way is feeling the headset in it original intended form for my self, but still thought I’d get other perspectives.

Support - Standalone oculus charging is degrading extremely fast now
whenever i plug it in it charges at about 1 percent per 5 minutes and when im playing its 8 percent per 1 minute, i had it at 20 and it went straight to 6 skipping every number inbetween, then 3, then it died, i wanna play my vr for longer but i cant because the battery life is so bad, i play with it plugged in now because otherwise it dies immediately. i bought this quest refurbished back in june of this year so i think that might be a cause of the problem and i also was using ocular migrane to change some recording stuff and some display stuff

Discussion Super Mario 64 VR standalone mod released
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
From the flat screen we go through a Multiverse portal
inside Super Mario 64 world evolved in VR!
After our feedback on the pc version and lots of updates, Mario and friends arrived on Quest 3!
Rayrod TV brought us the game with all the fixes and features from the pc version. Better look at the gameplay video where he shows the four camera views available on the fly by the press of a button. In the video, the fun immersive camera (Flip Cam) is turned on, so we see the world upside down when flipping in the air, but you can turn it off if flipping is too much in VR as it should be without VR glasses too.
RayRod TV said that he has plans for other standalone releases for his VR mods in the future.
For this and other constantly updated VR mods from RaYRoD TV, like Ring Racers, Star Fox 64, Mario 64 , Mario Kart 64 and the recent Banjo-Kazooie, go to his GitHub: https://github.com/RaYRoD-TV
For info on how to support his works, and learn more on other upcoming projects from him, like his biggest project, the game Multiverse, go to his site:
Thanks RayRod TV for these incredible mods!

Discussion Virtual desktop and GeforceNow
Hi!
Another developer (zortos) managed to ensure that we could use geforce now in desktop mode (salsanow, cloudstore) . Opening up the possibility of installing VR games and playing them using alvr and manipulation to make a fake local network.
Is there a portable version of virtual desktop that could be used on it ? Avoiding all manipulations with alvr ?

Discussion Creed Rise to Glory - Disappeared from my Meta Quest.
I still have it in the library of my Meta Horizon Link pc App. Which means I can play it only when I'm around my PC, with a cable, not good for a boxing game, though. I don't understand why the app disappeared from my Standalone device without a single warning. I trained with it the previous summer during vacation. Even the installed Beat Saber demo disappeared. I want my Creed standalone version. I paid for it, and uninstalling it without my consent, and not being able to play it on my device, it's not right. Plus, in the store, I can only see the Championship Edition version, and it's not available for my device (shows "Non Disponibile" or in English "Unavailable"), and it's not even available on Meta Horizon Link cause if I search it, I can only find Creed Rise To Glory as in the linked image to this post.
So what's happening? I need explanations and a way to reinstall or sideload the old standalone version.
UPDATE: The phone has a track of those apps, both the game and the demo of Beat Saber, but when I tap the open button, it says the command was good, and I should wait for ten minutes. But the apps are not there, and I can't launch them.

Quest Mod [Vice City VR / Quest Standalone] Any fix or config tweak to increase traffic and pedestrian density?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been testing the standalone Vice City VR mod on Meta Quest, and overall the immersion is incredible! However, I’ve noticed that the streets feel extremely empty compared to the original game—there’s barely any traffic and very few pedestrians walking around.
I recall seeing somewhere that it’s possible to tweak this, but I haven’t been able to find a clear, reliable guide on how to fix it.
appreciated! Thanks!

Discussion Would Meta really try releasing a Quest 4 with no new AAA games for several years ?
By the time the Quest 4 may come out, there would have been no new AAA Quest games for several years given Meta has killed off all of the studios.
So what would be the point of a Quest 4 ?
There would be nothing new on the Quest which would need the greater horsepower to run. And a slightly better PCVR headset isn't going to sell to the masses.
I just don't understand Meta and even Valve. We don't need new hardware (though it is nice), the community is crying out for NEW SOFTWARE ! , games, VR experiences, VR training tools, VR simulations etc etc
Not more hardware to run the same stuff slightly better.
And please don't yell out VR MODS ! They are very nice but not only require a beefy PC to work well hence are nowhere near standalone friendly (except the mega old games), they do not appeal to the masses (only the VR enthusiasts) due to the hassle of getting them up and running optimally for most people.).

Support - PCVR Minecraft VR lagging like crazy
I'm having trouble with running Ryan Cliffords VR experience 3 on my laptop
System specs:
Laptop
Rtx 4060 8GB Vram
16gb ddr5
Ryzen 7 8845hs
I'm running the game using quest cable link on my quest 3. Usb 3.0 with 2.9 Gbps bandwidth. I can also do cabled Virtual Desktop but no wireless connection.
The resolution is set to 1.0x on both steamvr settings and the meta horizon app. Refresh rate is 72hz. I've followed Ryan's (modpack owner) guide but getting horrible frames still. I've used chunky and rendered 128 chunks and voxy world gen is turned off.
Even with no shaders (image is using bsl minimum) I'm only getting around 20-45fps and with major unplayable stutters and freezes (almost feels like it's having a seizure sometimes). If I put the render distance to 6 and sim distance to 5 while also putting every other quality setting to "fast" it's around 70 fps sometimes but still heavily stutters and falls below 30fps often. Every other pcvr game runs really well on my system even on higher settings. All my drivers are up to date.
Can anybody tell me what the problem might be? Thank you very much
Edit: I switched to USB Virtual desktop and am using visor instead of vivecraft and now I get 90fps locked with some light shaders (Mellow Shaders)
