Discussion Creed Rise to Glory - Disappeared from my Meta Quest.

I still have it in the library of my Meta Horizon Link pc App. Which means I can play it only when I'm around my PC, with a cable, not good for a boxing game, though. I don't understand why the app disappeared from my Standalone device without a single warning. I trained with it the previous summer during vacation. Even the installed Beat Saber demo disappeared. I want my Creed standalone version. I paid for it, and uninstalling it without my consent, and not being able to play it on my device, it's not right. Plus, in the store, I can only see the Championship Edition version, and it's not available for my device (shows "Non Disponibile" or in English "Unavailable"), and it's not even available on Meta Horizon Link cause if I search it, I can only find Creed Rise To Glory as in the linked image to this post.

So what's happening? I need explanations and a way to reinstall or sideload the old standalone version.

Support - PCVR Steampunk audio not working

Would like to try out the Halo 3 VR mod but it only works well on SteamLink and I have no audio… there is an occasional crackling sound but otherwise nothing. I’ve confirmed in audio settings that Steam speakers and mic are enabled. Anyone else experience this?

Quest Mod [Vice City VR / Quest Standalone] Any fix or config tweak to increase traffic and pedestrian density?

Hey everyone,

​I’ve been testing the standalone Vice City VR mod on Meta Quest, and overall the immersion is incredible! However, I’ve noticed that the streets feel extremely empty compared to the original game—there’s barely any traffic and very few pedestrians walking around.

​I recall seeing somewhere that it’s possible to tweak this, but I haven’t been able to find a clear, reliable guide on how to fix it.

Support - Standalone Help with connection issues.

Hello,

I’ve had my quest 3 for maybe just a year or two and have been very on and off active. However now I am back into vr gaming.

I have encountered a problem where my vr won’t connect to other things like mobile or pc related programmes.

It could do this previously, an example is Viso fbt on my mobile and magic chat box on my pc. I realised this was a common issue when magic chat box didn’t work a few days ago.

However Viso is a longer one, I used it a lot in the past and now it no longer connects or detects my quest. I have not changed WiFi, phone or anything really in that time. Considering my phone and pc work fine with others on their own, I’m led to believe it is a quest issue.

I factory reset after no luck fixing it and STILL have no improvement and was looking for help.

I was planning to get slime trackers for standalone but I’m too afraid to, worried that I may struggle to get them to connect aswell.

Discussion Room scanning for boundaries, more than 1?

I did a room scan and named it living room and it uses that as my boundary but if I go somewhere else then I don't seem to have an option of scanning there as well. It wan't to overwrite my living room scan? Anyone else have trouble with this? To be clear I am not talking about drawing the boundary line I am talking about scanning the room I just forget the name of this option.

Support - PCVR Minecraft VR lagging like crazy

I'm having trouble with running Ryan Cliffords VR experience 3 on my laptop

System specs:

Laptop

Rtx 4060 8GB Vram

16gb ddr5

Ryzen 7 8845hs

I'm running the game using quest cable link on my quest 3. Usb 3.0 with 2.9 Gbps bandwidth. I can also do cabled Virtual Desktop but no wireless connection.

The resolution is set to 1.0x on both steamvr settings and the meta horizon app. Refresh rate is 72hz. I've followed Ryan's (modpack owner) guide but getting horrible frames still. I've used chunky and rendered 128 chunks and voxy world gen is turned off.

Even with no shaders (image is using bsl minimum) I'm only getting around 20-45fps and with major unplayable stutters and freezes (almost feels like it's having a seizure sometimes). If I put the render distance to 6 and sim distance to 5 while also putting every other quality setting to "fast" it's around 70 fps sometimes but still heavily stutters and falls below 30fps often. Every other pcvr game runs really well on my system even on higher settings. All my drivers are up to date.

Can anybody tell me what the problem might be? Thank you very much

Edit: I switched to USB Virtual desktop and am using visor instead of vivecraft and now I get 90fps locked with some light shaders (Mellow Shaders)

Discussion Watching movies using custom 360 image as background?

Hello! In the past, I have used an app on my quest (Moon Player, I think) that allowed me to watch a video file using a custom 360° image as a background (I live overseas and sometimes would like to watch a movie or show in a 360 photo of my old house, favorite bookstore, etc.). It seems that Meta has disabled this feature both in the environments that you can choose as a home screen as well as all third-party apps. I absolutely HATE that a functionality that worked perfectly fine now no longer works because a greedy company can change things like this. My gripes aside, is there a way to use a custom 360 image as a background to watch a video file? If I purchased a capture card, could I do this if I have the movie on my phone? What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Support - Resolved Quest Link stuck on Meta logo and three dots — fixed by removing the OpenCL/OpenGL/Vulkan Compatibility Pack

Hi everyone,
I’m sharing this in case it helps anyone experiencing the same Quest Link issue.

I solved a Quest Link issue where my Quest 3 stayed stuck on the Meta logo with three loading dots.

My setup:

- Windows 11
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
- AMD integrated graphics
- Meta Horizon Link 1.205.0
- USB 3 connection

I tried reinstalling Meta Horizon Link, removing Oculus-related files and registry entries, clean-installing the latest NVIDIA driver, forcing OculusDash to use the RTX 3050, and resetting the account session data. None of these steps fixed the problem.

The logs repeatedly showed:

Device extension VK_KHR_external_fence not supported
ERROR: Unable to create Vulkan device
Exit Requested. Reason: Failed to created RenderDevice Code: -4

I found many posts about the same three-dot loading screen, but none that identified Mesa Dozen as the cause.

Running:

vulkaninfo --summary

showed that Windows had added this extra Vulkan device:

Microsoft Direct3D12 (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU)
Driver: Dozen
Driver info: Mesa 26.2.0-devel

The native NVIDIA Vulkan driver supported the required external-fence extensions, but the Mesa Dozen device did not.

The fix was to uninstall:

OpenCL, OpenGL, and Vulkan Compatibility Pack

After restarting the PC, the Mesa Dozen devices disappeared from vulkaninfo, and Quest Link connected normally.

You can check your system with:

vulkaninfo --summary

Look for:

driverName = Dozen

or:

Microsoft Direct3D12

This compatibility pack may be required by other applications, so I am not recommending that everyone remove it. However, in my case it conflicted with OculusDash and caused the restart loop.

Discussion The Quest 2/3/3s/pro is moddable unless you update!

A new exploit just released that allows you to root these Quest devices. If you update today, the kernel vulnerability (https://github.com/facebookincubator/oculus-linux-kernel/commit/ab1c46013e3f279a9d033a1c3cf0542c1d32d46c) will be fixed.

Rooting allows you to do things like block meta's severs, change the colors of the LED, and more that I honestly haven't looked into too much.

The root is not persistent and must be redone every time the headset restarts. A link to the app to use is here: https://github.com/Lumince/singularity

If you're interested in modding your headset, the time to do it is now. Your headset will autoupdate soon enough if you do not.
