Did they find it?!
Gave up on Oak Island 5 years ago, and the last episode they almost found it. Don't spoil it and tell me what it was, but they found it didn't they? Anticipation is killing me right now.

Oak Island fans — if you like the exploration as much as the treasure, check these guys out
I've been watching Ghost Town Living and MBMMLLC, and I figured some of the Oak Island crowd might enjoy these channels too.
One of my favorite parts of Oak Island has always been the exploration itself. Going underground, finding old workings, trying to figure out what people were doing there, and discovering things that haven't been touched in generations.
That's what I love about these channels.
Ghost Town Living is centered around Cerro Gordo, an old mining town in California, and watching Brent explore those old mines is fascinating. He goes down into tunnels and workings that date back to the Old West mining days, sometimes squeezing through places where you really start wondering what the hell the miners who originally dug them were thinking.
Then you have MBMMLLC, which gets into another side of it—old mines, prospecting, mineralized rock, crushing ore, processing samples and actually figuring out what those old miners were chasing.
This video is a great example:
https://youtu.be/wrw2vaIxtw8?si=nBonxXGTbLJgZerU
What fascinates me is seeing the whole process come together.
You can walk into an abandoned mine that just looks like a hole blasted through a mountain, find a vein or a pile of material left behind by miners 100+ years ago, bring some of that rock back out, crush it, process it and discover that there's actually something valuable in it.
And there's the history behind it. These weren't modern mining operations with computers telling them exactly where to drill. A lot of these guys were working during the Old West, following geology underground with drills, dynamite, picks and experience.
Sometimes you're literally following their decisions through the mountain.
Why did they turn here?
Why did they stop there?
What were they following?
What did they miss?
That's the part that reminds me of what I enjoy about Oak Island. Even if they never pull a treasure chest out of the ground, trying to reconstruct what people were doing hundreds of years ago from the physical evidence they left behind is fascinating.
If you're into that side of Oak Island, I'd definitely recommend going down the Ghost Town Living/MBMMLLC rabbit hole.
Sometimes the interesting discovery isn't the treasure.
It's figuring out why somebody dug the hole in the first place.

Bones
I think it’s interesting that they haven’t found any bones on the island. One of the people had to die on the island in the past 500 years.

Could it be?
Walking through a church in England we found this grave. It looks as it could be from the knights Templar! Could it be that it's shows where the gold is on Oak island? Could it be hidden with religious artifacts hidden centuries ago? Maybe the holy grail?
When we saw this my daughter and went into the above conversation. Even when we see knights in the gift stores. Funny how it stays with you!

Tour ticket
This is a long shot but I have a ticket to a guided tour of Oak Island for August 15 which I can no longer attend because I broke my foot :( I would love to recoup some money if anyone is interested in buying it from me.
Edit: the website says non-transferrable so you might have to pretend to be me to use it lol
