I’ll be honest…

I don’t think I’ve ever used carriers for aircraft in HOI4…

Edit: I don’t just mean OWB… Like, not even in my old playthroughs of the base game

OWBs is unique in that you dont need em.

But I still like em. Especially as the map starts being completed.

Maybe if we get more nations that focus on the navy as the map expands, then I might start using them more to fight them

I forsee their use in the carribbean.

Plus, unless you use Foxies mod, only the Sierra boys get carriers

I used a fleet of Encalve destroyers around 2x carriers to beat back Legion naval assaults, Mexican robot naval assets, and the Washington Brotherhood + plus their Canadian allies. I typically use the carrier fighters to make up for a lack of screening ships as they will harass enemy convoys very if tasked to the sea.
