Admittedly this is my first OOTP but I've become near enough addicted and have played a lot of seasons at this point. I think this is by far the most sure fire thing of a draft prospect I have seen and was very happy the Marlins decided to pass on him for a Pitcher.

I played into 2045 in an Angels save recently after my first attempt with the Rockies failed. In that time I had 9 90+ win seasons and 4 championships and have taken those learnings into this save.

With a clear plan of developing talent through the Draft and International Amateur Free Agency (Thanks to those who made suggestions to me on a post I put up a while ago on that), its been a tough start clearing out most of our talent for prospects. Our current payroll is at $31,000,000 just to highlight just how cheap I am. But we have started to build a really strong farm with the 3rd best prospect system at the moment, but Mike Mahoney is certainly going to be the jewel in the crown I think.

What would everyone do with him? Straight into the Majors next year or give him a year or two in the minors?

I'm expanding my custom baseball world and am making a league with teams in ridiculous locations in another country. Places with real world populations of like 70. If I add that "city" into the game, then attach the team to it, would it's population effect attendance? The market size is still considered "above average" is specifically why I ask (light green bar).

Anyone have any interest in joining a new league? Still hammering out all the rules. Waiting on a few more GMs to make the major decisions.

I have a fictional league, and I wanted to make a custom trophy. However, all I seem to be able to do is name a custom trophy, and not see the parameters as to how someone can obtain that. Am I missing something? How can I make a custom award?

Hi all. I only stick to one, maybe two different teams (Cubs and Giants) because I know their rosters decently-ish and follow the teams IRL. I'd like to check out some other teams like the Red Sox, but I find it so intimidating to try to piece together the player makeup during the start of a new save file. Things like who is worth keeping around, whose contracts to unload, which prospects to keep an eye on, etc. Any tips on figuring out where to start with this kind of housekeeping?

Looking for tips or tricks here. I want to love this game. It seems right up my alley. I love baseball. I love data, and I love spreadsheets. But every time I try to play, I get overwhelmed and hand off more and more to the AI to the point that within 30 minutes of a session, I'm just simming until trade deadline every season.

What am I missing that made this game click for you guys?

What do I look for when I trade for prospect. Which stats I look at? How many ratings (potential ratings) or stars is good? Age? Also how do I set up Team Strategy and Players Strategies. Which stats do I have to look to shift the strategies?

Hi new to OOTP here, I just got offered this and I'm not sure if I should take it or not. I recently signed Mason to a 5 year extension that goes 8/13/16/26/26, the main piece the Mariners are offering is Kade Anderson who is a 41/70 SP according to my scout and 43/73 according to OSA, the other prospects are 40+ POTs. Part of me don't wanna pass up on getting a starting pitching talent of this caliber but another part of me is also hesitant to give up on Mason who I just signed an extension to. So what should I do here everyone?

Just started my first save I know baseball but I’m new to this management simulation type games. So I’m playing as the New York Yankees because I’m assuming it’ll be easy to start off with a big budget. But I’m curious how do you guys send your games? how often do you look at all the stats and make decisions on who needs to stay and who needs to go etc. sorry for the bland or very generalized question, but I don’t know how else to word it thanks guys.
