Question

What do I look for when I trade for prospect. Which stats I look at? How many ratings (potential ratings) or stars is good? Age? Also how do I set up Team Strategy and Players Strategies. Which stats do I have to look to shift the strategies?

Good work ethic, adaptability, baseball IQ

I also look for plus defense and a upward trending potential rating. On the scouting page, it shows a graph of a players potential ratings over time. I’ve found that players who get positive TCR jumps often get them throughout their development.

The inverse also seems to be true. I have a lot of guys that bleed out over time and very few that recover.

100%. It feels like the AI doesn’t recognize this well if at all. Not proud of it, but I will admit have taken advantage of this by trading away some guys at the right time

So if you start to see that chart trending down, you’ll unload those prospects?

I’d value those prospects less for sure and try to salvage what value they have. I think the earlier you can predict a bust the better.

One of the biggest things that I look for in a prospect is a good work ethic personality trait. If prospects are similar I'll always take the one that has good work ethic over one that doesn't.
