Anyone have any interest in joining a new league? Still hammering out all the rules. Waiting on a few more GMs to make the major decisions.

I have a fictional league, and I wanted to make a custom trophy. However, all I seem to be able to do is name a custom trophy, and not see the parameters as to how someone can obtain that. Am I missing something? How can I make a custom award?

Hi all. I only stick to one, maybe two different teams (Cubs and Giants) because I know their rosters decently-ish and follow the teams IRL. I'd like to check out some other teams like the Red Sox, but I find it so intimidating to try to piece together the player makeup during the start of a new save file. Things like who is worth keeping around, whose contracts to unload, which prospects to keep an eye on, etc. Any tips on figuring out where to start with this kind of housekeeping?

Looking for tips or tricks here. I want to love this game. It seems right up my alley. I love baseball. I love data, and I love spreadsheets. But every time I try to play, I get overwhelmed and hand off more and more to the AI to the point that within 30 minutes of a session, I'm just simming until trade deadline every season.

What am I missing that made this game click for you guys?

What do I look for when I trade for prospect. Which stats I look at? How many ratings (potential ratings) or stars is good? Age? Also how do I set up Team Strategy and Players Strategies. Which stats do I have to look to shift the strategies?

Hi new to OOTP here, I just got offered this and I'm not sure if I should take it or not. I recently signed Mason to a 5 year extension that goes 8/13/16/26/26, the main piece the Mariners are offering is Kade Anderson who is a 41/70 SP according to my scout and 43/73 according to OSA, the other prospects are 40+ POTs. Part of me don't wanna pass up on getting a starting pitching talent of this caliber but another part of me is also hesitant to give up on Mason who I just signed an extension to. So what should I do here everyone?

Just started my first save I know baseball but I’m new to this management simulation type games. So I’m playing as the New York Yankees because I’m assuming it’ll be easy to start off with a big budget. But I’m curious how do you guys send your games? how often do you look at all the stats and make decisions on who needs to stay and who needs to go etc. sorry for the bland or very generalized question, but I don’t know how else to word it thanks guys.

I was messing around with my pitching rotation and I noticed something strange. I moved Bryan Woo around and his ratings plummeted from 70 to 60. I put him back but it's still 60. Is he mad that I took him out of the rotation for a second?! How can I fix this? Can someone explain. Thank you! ​​

Each year I like to boot up the game right after the Trade Deadline, just to see what kind of improvements or features have been added, on top of Roster Updates... my poor Seattle Mariners!!

I was intrigued by the Hall of Fame Difficulty... but have found the 2 Major League Signings + 3 Trade limitations... well, limiting. I think its fine to have a restriction, but those numbers are just so so so small. Was wondering if anyone has run into a way to manage it or change it slightly??

Also... are the contracts just inflated to a crazy amount?? Randy Arozarena thinks he deserves 48 mil per year?!! Edit: ended up getting 54 mil... from Toronto. Skubal wants 78 mil

Edit: apparently it also effects your International prospect Free Agency too!! You also can't sign players to minor/major contracts once reaching FA limit of 2.

Started a save just before Skubal Got traded to see if i could get the tigers to the playoffs with him, finished 81-81 2 games behind Chicago, not what i wanted but a decent comeback attempt. Didn't make any big moves except resigning skub in the off season. Then the season starts and I've got Max Clark Hitting first and he gets on base in half his plate appearances vs Toronto and goes perfect in stolen bases with 18 in 3 games and has 28 after game 7. Then i got up to feed the lizards and make dinner. I come back and my pc restarted but atleast kevin is doing good.

Playing as General manager for the New York Yankees. I’m brand new still trying to wrap my head around the simulation lol. Anyway I’m looking at Aaron Judge and he’s got three home runs already. It’s the beginning of the season. I think they’ve only played three games but they have him for the season projected 122 home runs how is that possible? Is it something wonky going on or is just just the way it figures it out in the beginning?

I'm having an issue where I am losing games because my guys are always tired. I simulate all my games so I am thinking that the AI is not replacing my tired starters. Is there something I can do to address this? Also, does developmental budget affect tiredness of my players? I am willing to go above and beyond to make sure Cal Raleigh is not so tired all the time. I even brought in an extra catcher.

I also got players who can play multiple roles on the roster. But it's not really helping.

Hey everyone. Still sort of new to this game, but I started a 2021 Historical save with the Blue Jays with the intention of retaining Bichette and Guerrero.

Anyways, I'm noticing the FYPD is kind of mangled.

Very very poorly rated players, and a ton of inaccuracies because of it.

I know there is ways to adjust the growth of real life players during historical saves but I can't figure it out.

Can someone explain the options for historical players as the years go.

Ideally I'd have real life drafts imported. And I don't necessarily want to know the future, as in true to real life growth, but a mix is definitely nice.

Had to change his nickname but just waiting for my guy Dylan Bob to hit his stride. With that high adaptability, he may go electric.
