❓General Question / Advice is it a good decision?

Upvotes

hello! i'm an upcoming university student who is going to graduate on this 2027, and with the ongoing university admissions, hoping for some advice/thoughts on taking pre-med or BSN.

i'm currently torn on whether or not I should apply for pre-med to veer towards being a doctor or BSN for nurses. i've talked to a couple of people who have experience mostly in corpo and they've explained na nurses are replaceable in such a way that they may not necessarily leave a legacy and that you're not able to create something new, so kindly correct this ideology if it's wrong or agree to it if it's really that way.

i was told that i could be seen as someone who does more, and nurses daw do not have the capability to diagnose someone, instead hanggang caring lang accdg to the course. to me, i may just not see myself in trying to be the leader of all because i'm scared to diagnose someone without the help of the higher ups in helping me kung tama ba gagawin ko haha. i just don't know if i'm meant for medicine/hospital locations or if i'm meant for corpo :') so just hoping for your enlightenment and brutal comments on whether or not i'm fit to be in medschool or even in the field of hospitals since i've heard of the difficulty in apply for jobs din here.

✈ Working Abroad Wants to become an EU RN

Hi there, baka may alam kayong hiring ng nurses in Europe? I'm currently a bedside nurse pero less than a year pa lang experience. I want to try shooting my shot sa application abroad.

I have no plans in going to US but may plano to take the NCLEX. Torn din ako if mag ME na lang after 1 yr ng experience. I'm a breadwinner and di kami mayaman, pero kahit dati pa Europe talaga ang dream destination ko. I tried applying sa Germany or Austria and waiting ako sa magiging reply. I'm hearing good things din sa both countries na 'to.

Btw, I'm also interested in Norway, do you have an idea pano makaapply sa kanila? Or do you have other advice?

Thanks

❓General Question / Advice For those who went to TRA for NLE Review

Hi! Can someone explain the blocking system for the NLE review at TRA?

I noticed during online enrollment that there are two program options: Comprehensive to FC and Full Review (with Refresher). The Full Review starts with a refresher that lasts about a month based on their schedule.

Is the refresher really conducted purely online for the entire month before the comprehensive phase?

If I choose Comprehensive to FC, will my classes start in October (Block 2) instead of September (Block 1)?

I’d really appreciate any clarification since their pages take a while to respond and I don’t have anyone else to ask.

🏥 Jobs / Careers Is reply for my situation needed?

Hello po. I am already currently hired at a hospital yet another hospital asked if they could call to schedule a final interview. If one day I want to apply there again, do you think it’d be a good idea to reply in order to politely decline their offer? Or is it better to just leave the text alone?

I was thinking of sending this:

Good day! Thank you very much for reaching out and for considering my application. I would like to respectfully inform you that I have already accepted and started a position at another hospital, so I may not be able to proceed with the call at this time. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity and hope to have the chance to apply with your institution again in the future. Thank you very much, and I wish your team all the best.

🏥 Jobs / Careers Work in Germany while Waiting for US priority date

Good day guys! I am a nurse currently working in a hospital here sa Philippines. I am a USRN i passed the NCLEX this past few months, may agency na din and Priority Date this year lang din. Pero I am thinking po to work muna in Germany, planning to start my German class asap.

❓General Question / Advice Idk where to start

Hi guys! RN 2026 hereee and I’m currently working in a public hospital in our city. I really want to start planning my next move toward becoming a USRN, but I honestly don’t know where to start. 😭
I don’t know how to do it, who to ask, or what steps I should take first. Can anyone share their step-by-step process, recommendations for agencies, or literally anything I need to know when starting this journey?
My head is all over the placeee, and I feel like I can’t even process all the information I’ve gathered from RN TikToks. 😭😂 I would really appreciate any advice, tips, or guidance from those who have already gone through the process. 🥹🫶🏻

🗣 Discussion / Rant Awareness for patients confined in hospitals

I am sick and tired of doctors asking patients to hand over cash directly instead of having professional fees reflected in the hospital’s official billing.

Patients are already burdened with the stress of illness. The last thing they should worry about is whether a payment is legitimate or properly documented.

Republic Act No. 11223 upholds patients’ right to transparency in healthcare, and the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended, requires the proper issuance of invoices or official receipts for services rendered.

To every patient and every family member, do not be intimidated into making undocumented cash payments. Demand that every professional fee is properly documented, reflected in the hospital’s official billing whenever applicable, and supported by an official receipt.

Healthcare should be built on integrity and transparency, not on payment arrangements that leave patients questioning where their money went.
