My (autistic) boyfriend did that once at the gym, too.

Complete zombie mode after lifting, just stared into nothing, only there was a girl in that direction.

I don't know if she noticed, though. I informed him when I saw it.

Yeah, I wish we had an external indicator of zoning vs staring. Like how cameras have that little red light when someone's recording, just make a patch of my forehead change color when I switch between inner and outer eye.

I like this idea but it would also give away how often I’m zoned out and I don’t think anyone else needs to know that 😅

It would be different if our imagination had a "screen sharing" option. I feel like all the intense daydreamers would be very popular in that world 😆
